Xinxz was glad that they had somebody trained at spotting traps with them. Turning to Durok. "Help me move these rocks." points to the rocks near the door "over there." points to an empty space. He then starts moving rubble. As he does so, he can't help but notice odd scraping sounds from the other side of the door.

Durok nods happily.
"Yes, chief."
He then walks to the pile and looks for the bigger stones, the ones which the others will have a hard time moving, and start moving them around. Doing this with only one arm, however, proves more difficult than Durok thought... or didn't think. As he tries to pick up one of the biggest stones in the pile, it slips from his hand and rolls down the floor making a lot of noise. It also nearly hits Quefek who was standing behind him. The poor kobold barely managed to duck the rolling boulder that was about his size.
Durok looked at him, scratching his head in embarrassment.
"Me sorry. Me be careful now."
From then on Durok concentrated on rolling the big stones out of the pile, rather than trying to pick them up.

Kreishna assisted by picking up smaller stones and tossing them away from the door, not having the strength to manage anything of great size. As a result of the crash from Durok’s boulder and the minor commotion of rock-shifting, she missed the scraping sounds beyond the door.

Finally the door is clear, and the rubble out of the way. Xinkz motions the others behind him, and opens the door. To his surprise there is nothing on the other side. He wonders what was making that noise.
He goes inside the room, and finds a rather large chamber. There is a clear blue puddle in the middle, and the room looks clean and neat. A drastic change from what they had been seeing. There are no exits, but there are four stone statues..one on each corner of the room.
Each statue is of a robed person holding a staff. On the other side of the puddle is a heavy looking chest. The chest is resting on what looks like to be some sort of Alter. Several blue candles adorn the alter, but they are not lit.

Kreishna examined the statues and the periphery of the room, looking for embedded gems, holes in the walls, or other things of interest. She avoided the pool for now, not trusting it to have anything shiny in it.

They statues are made of fine silver, but much to large to carry. Each of the staffs' head is a different large jewel. Amethyst, Jade, Emerald, and Ruby. About the size of a human fist. Besides the statues, and the chest..nothing else important or of value is found. Of course, who knows what is in the water.

Kreishna contemplated prying the gems out, but decided she’d see if there was anything easier to remove first. She decided to examine the altar in more detail and go peer in the pool to get a better idea of what this place was before she went around potentially desecrating anything.

The chest is a heavy iron chest, but just from a glance she can tell it is not locked. The Alter is unmistakably to some dark god, probably long forgotten, and the chest is painted in symbols in blood. No other blood is obvious, it is ALL in symbols on the chest.
As for the pool, it starts..moving as she gets close. Just as a tendril made of water lashes out, she is pulled back to safety by Xinkz. The 'pool' starts frothing and bubbling, and tendrils start forming. They begin to lash out blindly, trying to snare anything nearby.

Kreishna backed away, hissing at the pool—the fae having taken her dagger, she was unarmed. She edged towards the one door cautiously; if the thing tried to follow her, she might be able to get to the rubble outside and start throwing rocks at it…

Xinkz thought this was a very good idea. Whatever was in that box was probably not worth fighting this thing for, so he followed her. Only he was not so lucky as she. A tendril made contact with him, sending him flying, knocking over the chest. The chest spills its contents, mostly precious jeweles, gold, and such. However, some interesting items come rolling out.
A rather shiny silver Kris engraved with runes, a necklace that looked like it had the ear of a troll on it, and a short sword who's blade was as black as night. Xinkz seemed unconscious.

Kreishna watched the moving pool for a moment to determine its reach, then hesitated. Xinkz was part of her Guild-substitute for the time being, plus he helped her earlier with her actual Guild earlier, and thus took priority…but she couldn’t help but be distracted. So many shiny things…the guild would be pleased if she could get even a fraction of that back to them…and she wanted and needed a dagger of some kind…but she also had some sense; it was probably cursed or trapped somehow, no one in their right mind would leave a pile of valuables like that with no locks or other defenses at all…
At last she shook herself out of her stare and prodded Durok on the knee, hard enough to get his attention.
“Helps it gets it!” she ordered, pointing towards where Xinkz lay on the overturned chest and its contents.

Durok was staring at the pool all the while in excitement, after all moving, living water is not something you see every day. That is until the water hit Xinkz. This was a clear assault on the chief and as the tribe's muscle and bodyguard, Durok couldn't just let it pass. He took out the wooden club strapped to his leg, but before he could do anything he felt something touching his knee.
“Helps it gets it!” said the little grey creature who acted like a scout earlier on.
A clear order always took precedence over Durok's own ideas.
"Little scout wants to get there?"
"Yess."
"Ok."
Durok put down the club, easily grabbed Kreishna with one hand and before she had time to do anything, threw in a high arc above the puddle aiming for Xinkz and the chest. Satisfied with completing his orders, Durok picked up the club and launched at the puddle with a loud roar.

Kreishna made a strangled sound as she went flying over the living pool. She bounced off the overturned chest and tumbled to a halt on the other side, briefly dazed. The roar of combat behind her brought her to her senses quickly however, and she dragged herself over to the unconscious goblin. She tugged at Xinkz, but the goblin was too big for her slight frame to carry. She bared her teeth in frustration and tugged again, hissing irritably.

Feeling something or somebody tugging on him, Xinkz eyes flew open. His chest felt like something was trying to eat through his flesh. He looked over dazed at the person tugging on him. At first no recognition could be seen in his eyes, but finally he came to his senses.
He tried to stand, stumbled a bit, but managed to stay upright. "Get back from the pool!" he manages to say. "We have nothing that will hurt that..thing." with his focus on the creature, he hasn't even noticed the chest or its contents.

Durok was hitting the tentacles with his club smashing them into bits, but it didn't seem to have any effect on the creature. Between the swings of the weapon he heard Xinkz ordering him to back off. Durok raised his head, surprised by such an un-barbarian order, when one of the tentacles snuck in from below and tripped his legs.

Kuddin was following behind Durok, not really able to keep up too well. The orc began to fight, and stopped. Kuddin didn't really hear the reason why, due to a splash he managed to dodge. He kept running, and saw the orc get tripped. Kuddin had to think fast, as he couldn't slow down quick enough to stop short of the falling giant. He jumped, making it to the orc's shoulders, and jumped from there. Not straight, but not clearly away from the pool either. He managed to jump to the right, and his landing spot looked to be questionably at the very edge of the watery mass.
