I dont like it
Soft or tough.
You need to be fair Mytical.
The way you are making it out to be is that we are not even allowed to have opinions anymore.
Debates are out of the question now.
I have not seen many insults personally.
I seen heated debates & that is what made the OSOM so popular.
So basically, we are not allowed to have fun.
We can not debate.
We are not allowed to joke around.
So basically you are turning into RedsoxFan back in 2004.
Making this place like a prison.
He treated us like if he was a Dictator & we was prisoners in HC.
Is that what you want to be.
Take away any last freedom we have left?

I understand pure insults need to be penalized, warnings have been given.
You are way too sensetive on this.
You would think things that is not intended as an insult which you think it is.

Opinions are not only welcome, but expected on the boards. What I don't get though is, a lot of people seem to be like "But..but we need to be able to call such and such a doodey head!" Do they, do they really? This is not me being over sensitive, it has become a real problem. I don't really care what people think about another person, race, religion, etc. Is it beyond their ability to have an opinion without resorting to name calling?
If the board REALLY thinks they don't have the intelligence to have discussions without resulting to tactics a 5 year old uses, then by all means let me know.

Then exactly what is the issue with me enforcing the CoC? I've said it a dozen times already, and will probably have to say it a dozen more in the next 72 hours. This wouldn't even be an issue if people would just tone it down a bit.

I understand we have to follow the COC.
Man you are going through alot for problems no one really sees but you.
If you see someone breaking the rules, then give it a penalty.
Otherwise, you dont need to be a dictator lol.

Acu. I could have just went through giving penalties. That would have been the EASY way. Instead, I am giving people an 'out'. No penalties necessary. All they have to do is alter their post to within the CoC.

I'm still confused but what posts are you actually talking about? The only bad ones I've really seen are the ones where Elodin and Shyranis (whatever her name is) had an argument and someone was accusing the other of being racist or whatever.

Well then, what would be the big issue then? If everybody is within the CoC there will be no penalties, and everything will be good. Not like I am going to make stuff up, just to pass out penalties. I HATE penalties. So if everybody is within the CoC, then after the 72 hours have passed nothing will happen, so what is the issue?

I dont think the hate comes from the tavern as much.
Heated debates can get out of hand because of the beliefs.
Religion being probally the most sensetive subject.
Going through the tavern I think is not needed.
I dont think I ever seen an insult in there in days.

The reason people can';t just debate without resorting to verbal violance is another prove of humanity downfall,in patiance .
even i sometimes feel the annoyince for memmbers i didnt thought i would,on the countery unexpected help from others. point is people love to hate. i know its sounds funny but listen,people like to gossip like to flame. why? becouse its violance,verbal,but violance. rather then punch someone though the monitor they can flame. It's wrong,its stupid,but its our nature. It takes alot more then you think to keep quite,if a mod is angry he can just ban or warn (see angelito for example). however a memmber without such power does what? nothing.
so basicly its funny but this is the way things are.

Mytical, not everyone is against, I am all for the enforcement of CoC, if you can't say something without insulting the person, then most likely, its not worth saying or your arguement is biased. Plain and simple.
Acu, just take a breather, we all know your personality, and so does Mytical. I know your posts, and I personally would not find a single one insulting, and neither will the receiving end of yours. They'll know you too. This is just a formal statement, and that this stuff won't be tolerated.
