Quote: the solution for me was to fully remove from computer.
Install using the run as administrator command
Then run the RTMG.exe as administrator as well.
I have had zero problems.
fantastic.
indeed, I was admin on my bro's laptop and I'm it on my comp.
I say you found a nice solution (if not the better) to fix the 0kb file bug.
finally yes, windows 7 (maybe xp also) makes a high-protection for some processes performed
in the program folder for non-admin users on the machine.
I thank you for. this bug annoyed me.

Hi,
A new release to fix a frankly tiny bug:
Fix the text of the map description readable during the game for players 5 to 8.
Also, I added a note in the manual advising to install and run RTMG as administrator.
(This is allowing to avoid the 0kb file bug)
=======================================================================
EDIT
Hi,
A "29th august" new RTMG release to fix another frankly tiny bug:
Fix the text of the map name readable during the game.
with it actually, I don't know anymore bugs.

Hi,
Is there a way to make a map with selectable faction?
I checked on "random town" on the HeroV RMG. But when I generate again with RTMG, it chooses random faction.
Edit: found solution on the previous pages.

0kb Error
Hi SimonaK,
I still seem to be encountering the 0kb bug, and it's quite frustrating. I use Windows XP SP2 and I only have one user account on it, which is an admin account. Still I get the same error.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
W

Willow,
you said you run as admin....did you install as admin? probably yes.
Is that your OS or its language (from config panel) is english ?
sorry, but I don't have solutions now.
you can try to install to the game root folder.

Hi SimonaK! Is it possible that dwelling creatures were in NCF map editor? Can you make such a mod?

Running as Administrator
Just so that I'm clear on the "running as administrator" thing and to make sure that I do it right...
I right-click on the .exe, select "Run As" and get this:
Is this correct?

Hi,
sorry for my last absence.
BearGrylls:
Quote: Hi SimonaK! Is it possible that dwelling creatures were in NCF map editor? Can you make such a mod
the thing is possible. but all must begin with the creation of dwellings by NCF creators. not by RTMG.
and a release of a new version of NCF framework is required.
then, a new version of RTMG will be able to import these modded dwellings
into his database and integrate them in the maps.
all of this instead of the creating of "automatic" dwellings by the RTMG.
meanwhile, you can export a RTMG dwelling from a RTMG map to your custom map by using the NCF editor
and then loading the RTMG map inside and "copy" the dwelling and paste it in the other map.
also, if you are a little savant, you can directly refer the dwelling by using his "AdvMapDwellingShared" link.
while the creation of your own map.

I don't know.
All I know is you have to be already admin when you start your computer. your session must be "admin"

no, RTMG never modifies the kinds of terrain dependently of the faction or the type of objects on.
you can control the terrain you want if you check exactly it in the first step (template) of RTMG.

Hi,
for now, you can open the RTMG map into NCF editor and then disable yourself the spell.
RTMG doesn't offer the option because RTMG never discriminates something.
otherwise, RTMG could offer a list containing all spells (like the editor) to be able to disable all you want.
and not only one or two spells ...even if the spells are "adventure".
also, if RTMG "opens" the possibilty to disable spells then why not offering the capacity
to disable Heroes, Creatures, objects, etc etc ...any stuffs.....you want..
"you done all or you done nothing"
-------------------------------------------------------------------
if you are a little bit modder, you can create a MOD who disables the travel spell
in all maps without open the editor.

Hi
you're talking about what?
refugee camp from original game or « traveller camp » from RTMG?

traveller camp
I would like to remove both traveller camp and refugee camp from the game. I find with NCF creatures it can ruin maps by making them not balanced.

you can remove « traveller camp » by unchecking « NCF Dwellings » from the « Add Objects » windows.
the « Add Objects » windows is reachable by the « Add Objects » button.
about refugee camp, the present version RTMG doesn't offer the possibilty to remove but
none of NCF can be recruit with if you have not put a MOD corresponding yourself.

I enjoy the other NCF dwellings. Is it possible to just remove the traveller camp.
I appreciate all the help.
Thanks Shaun
