Quote: Ok, it's running right now "scanning creatures.."
yes....
your game is using NCF__Core.pak and NCF_MegaPack.pak
....but RTMG didn't have the "knowledge" of it.
of course, surely RTMG has a bug too. he is not perfect!
Moreover your game is configured NCF....(because the presence of NCF files)
then a conflict risk there was..
but I don't certify that will resolve your crash during the game.
! WARNING !
I noticed an important NCF file is missing.
« NCF_MegaPack_texts.pak »
that contains all names and descriptions for NCF Creatures.
you must have this file to make your game working.
you will have to start again the Importation process by clicking on RESET button
after you will have this important file installed.
you say you read
I say you read not enough.
I have the impression I waste my time, man

Well, the process is not exactly "easy".
Maybe I'm the only person who bothered to ask.

I admit all that.
at least, in the next version NCF Creatures will be already imported.

Where should this file (NCF_MegaPack_texts.pak) be located and where can I get it, if it's not in there?
Edit:
I found what I think are the extra files and files and put them here:

Will this do the trick?

It's now downloaded and installed.
I would recommend that you clean up all the required files/links and put them in the same place. The way it is now, is far too complicated. The grammar, description and instructions, need some work as well.

Thanks for your comments.
RTMG is a project, NCF is another and Faction Dwellings 4 to 7 is another too.
Concerning the grammar, my first language is French and I'm able to make mistakes in my own language.
Concerning the way, know that before the MegaPack all that was still more complicated.
We always improve with the time.

Thanks again!
This mod has great potential and I would like for lots of people to take advantage of it.
I was also wondering if the creatures should have names? Right now, it only says creature_???.
I thought the last install would have changed this.

names and descriptions are localized in the megapack text pak file...
so, it's easy to get them in the RTMG...just put this file like others in the bin and then import the megapack with the RTMG importer...

Can you post the link to this file for me? I searches, but can not find it. And when say bin, I assume you mean "bin" folder; right?

I have already installed that file before.
Now, when I try to generate a map, I get this message:

I'm using Win 7.
I went through the usual steps: created in RTMG; then went and created a map via map generator using that template; then went back to the RTMG to "generate" the map. I got the error message near the of the process.
The map works, but it's just a vanilla looking map; no special units etc.

Sorry, I think the BS meter is broken for me. I'll stick with the vanilla version. I'll keep an eye out for something more user friendly in the future.

I was having nice games; now, all I get is crashes!
If you put everything into some type of chronological order, as to how to install and run things; it might make it a whole lot simpler and less painful.
At least put some type of disclaimer, to let people know that there is a fair amount of computer stills involved in the installation process.
..and don't get me wrong; I really want this to work!

uhh right,
But, instead of that, why not take a more mature approach and list what needs to be done, in a simple manner?
