Anyway. I think it's a hoax... No, I know IT'S FAKE. Lol.
People are stupid to asume that a speices from a very distant world would look so similar to humans -.-
Maybe they all look like you and when they visit us they'll blame you for copyright infringement!
What do ya think about that?
Whats that black thingy in the bottom of the moonshine bottle?

I meant that people always view aliens as human-looking speices.
But an animal from a very very distant planet is not likely to look like an Earth-like speices in my opinion.

Some sort of way to elegantly manipulate matter, such as with our opposing thumbs, would be pertinent, otherwise it would be very difficult for a civilization to advance. It's possible there's countless intelligent civilizations out there, but they don't have both brains and an easy means to use tools.

Just to counter some of the counterarguements !
First of all, we can't be sure about anything about almost anything from space. We know far to little at this moment. Like interstellar is impossible for us, but maybe not for aliens. They could have a different (or similiar) society. They could have a perfect society so that they can put maximal rescources in everything, or maybe a small fraction of the people decide what to do (slavery?) and therefore control all the resources, and decided it would be most "fun" thos way. Point is that we can't be sure they have any problem funding this kind of project. And energywise we don't know much... Currently our planet is dying because of our energy problems. The aliens might have some kind of energy source that's far above our technology (or something we just missed in sience). Like we have no idea what causes things like the Hutchison effects.
So we can't safely assume that they can't fund/put enough effort in such projects and we can't be sure that it's scientificly impossible.
Secondly, about looks. Aliens could look any way possibly imaginable (and beyond), but with the data we have we can guess that they'd either look very different from us, or quite alike.
Then motivation. Well, this to could be anything, Maybe we are entertainment... Maybe we are part of a zoo, or a way of gathering resources (food, energy etc), which I find unlikely.
Maybe we're being monitored as an experiment or research project. To get technology, if we are very different we might have thougt of things they might have missed or a branch of science they didn't think of. It might just be to see how we respond to different things. Maybe we're just a test to see how "intelligent" races evolve or just experiment on a planatary level. I find the later reasons more likely than the first ones.
We might be just be a random planet with life that different alien species, or different ships from the same species, pass from time to time, which would explain why sightings are quite rare. They drop in and take a look and decide to leave... maybe they thought we weren't "good" enough, not smart enough or maybe to "poor" to be of value to them and they leave.
Then about the lack of data. Well, it could once again be anything, but I'll toss some ideas. It might be the above reason. That they pass by our planet from time to time and then leave.
It's possible that they don't leave much information. They could have different/some kind(s) of stealth device. If they "mastered" interstellar travels (which is far, FAR from our current tech) they would prolly have no trouble hiding (which we can do (there are ways to be "invicible" soon and it's easy to hide from a radar)).
Maybe it's just the goverment (or whatever) that hides it from us.
My guess would propably be a combination of these.
Finally, why would they leave one of their "babies"/"members" on our planet? Maybe just monitor our reaction... see if we killed it (which we did ) or if we believed in aliens.
Maybe it's not one of them... just an animal or a prisoner.
Might be a spy, explorer or negotiator. It's possible that it was sent to watch us or contact us. Maybe it was some kind of sabouteer.
Just an accident? They didn't mean to leave it behind...
In the end my final point is that we can't be sure about anything. That whatever arguement we can come up with right now (with our data and knowledge) can be countered with our lack of data and knowledge. All we can do is guess.
My guess? Well, as far as I know, space is rather big... The chanses/risks that we are the only life in the universe is quite small in my mind. On the other hand, the chanses/risks that there's any life intelligent enough to develop interstellar travel is also quite big to me, but that they would come here is rather small. So I do believe aliens exist. Of they are intelligent or would visit us is unsure... I really don't know. That's something I'll get to know later... or not. Since they don't affect me, in any way I know of, and I can't affect the way they affect me I'll just have to wait and see. Life goes on, wether they're here or not.

I met an alien once. He didn't speak English so we didn't really talk much. ( his language sounded like it might have been French, but I couldn't be certain because of his accent ) I know it was a he because whenever a hot chick walked past I noticed the universal gester for "do I know you?" as his eyes made a quick movement toward the ass region.

Who knows? Who knows?
If we don't know anything about aliens, then it doesn't mean that aliens don't know something about us. Or even if they don't know anyting about us, then it doesn't mean that they are not more advanced.
Perhaps the ways we are searching each other are different, so we couldn't find. Who said, that aliens use radiowaves. Maybe radiowaves are old for them, like spears and crossbows in comparison to M4A1.
Perhaps the aliens are not comparable to us, so we couldn't find each other, in meaning for example alien could be 100m tall.
There are too many problems.
