RIP, ACORN
Last week, a young independent aspiring congressman revealed to the world that he had entered 4 different ACORN offices, pretending to be a pimp who wanted to start a brothel, using under-age El Salvador girls smuggled across the border, and then funnel the profits into his political campaign, without paying any taxes. Just in case you were wondering, this would be fifty kinds of illegal, on top of a myriad of severe ethical misconducts.
To the world's surprise [/sarc], something magical happened. Instead of telling this aspiring super-criminal to blow away, the ACORN employees decided to help him by offering advice on how to smuggle the girls past immigration, obtain the necessary housing, avoid the police, and launder the money afterwards. At 4 (!!!) different locations this happened, multiple employees each.
Well, the Senate just passed a bill to withdraw all of ACORN's funding. The census bureau has announced that ACORN will no longer be able to "help" with the next census. Serious investigations are now being put together to see just how badly ACORN has been behaving. No one expects them to survive this scandal.

It took the evidence on tape posted on the internet for this to happen. The left wing media wouldn't even mention it until it had become widespread knowlede through talk radio and the internet.
Conservatives and even some democrats had been calling for an investigation of ACORN for some time but the democrat leaders blocked calls for an investigation. Many high ranking democrats have very close ties with ACORN including Obama. Obama had promised ACORN they would help shape his agenda and had been a former employee of ACORN and had employed them.

ACORN has many sub-groups. Expect them to merely reorganize under a different name.
Don't expect an honest an open investigation of ACORN. It would take too many democrats down. But Beck and others will keep educating the public since the mainstream media is complicit with Obama.
Some individual states are proceeding with prosecutions of ACORN however. I think Florida issued 11 indictments about a week ago. The liberal states will protect ACORN.

Can we at least wait till some .. oh I don't know EVIDENCE that Obama did anything other then hire them to help get people to vote comes out before judging? Oh no, wait..that would make too much sense. Lets hang him first, then see if he is guilty.
Whatever happened to 'judge not least ye be judged?' (rhetorical question).
Edit : Although I will say that ACORN Deffinately needs disbanded and investigated.

More news! The House of Reps has also passed the bill to withdraw ACORN's funding. They are now officially really quite dead.

I don't think it is blown out of proportion and many in the democrat party are very closely associated with ACORN. But the mainstream media investigating anything about the democrat party or Obama is not going to happen. Only after stories are firmly established and can't be denied will the mainsteam leftist media report anything negative about the democrats and then it will try to put some spin on it. Journalism on the part of mainstream media is dead.

Maybe, just like Fox ever reporting on something bad that the other side did. Not going to happen, or they will put a spin on it. Same thing. Media has been dead or biased for about 50 years now. Finding an unbiased news source is like finding gold in the middle of the sky.

Wow, the de-fund ACORN bill was broadly written (so it wouldn't be unconstitutional for targeting a single entity) to the point where it threatens the entire Military Industrial Complex. I guess Eisenhower must be pretty happy in the afterlife given his warning about fraud from them in his farewell address. Overall, a good bill for fighting corruption =D
Also, what ACORN did to deserve this disbanding was different than what it was originally accused of. It still deserves it though, why would anybody suffer such corruption, right?

I don't see how defense contractors have been doing illegal stuff like the corrupt democrat front group ACORN.
On the other hand, another democrat front group, National Endowment for the Arts has been caught in illegally campaigning for Obama at the request of the White House.
Oh, and it seems the democrat controlled Congress is till dragging its feet on investigating ACORN. But I predicted there would be no honest and open investigation of ACORN.

Of course not. That would mean they actually have to admit they were wrong, and biased. You think they are going to do that? Please.
Now expect all the 'Fox News is the greatest' people to come back with "They just report the news." Except any new channel that doesn't check their sources (including checking the tape, there are ways to find if it has been doctored), isn't very good. They will (like sheep) rally behind their almight Fox . This is why I don't automatically believe everything in the news, without checking it with other sources as well.

I doubt the loony-tunes leftist socialist agenda pushing Obamamedia will report this, but more ACORN employees have been charged with felonies. Investigations are ongoing in a number of states. Some were charged with voting twice--absentee and at the ballot box. But ACORN has a history of such fraud. But like good little socialist sheep some folks will continue to defend ACORN I guess.
