As for the "pimp" videos, I haven't seen all the details about whatever the court ruled.
Meh, Fox is just the worst of all of the media. they are not at all leftist, or conservative. Every channel is for government expansion in some way and Fox is just the channel laziest enough to not pretend very hard that it is actually reporting news.
They are all corporatist.

Oh I admit that there are some weird things going on with Acorn. Maybe not as bad as with Haliburton, the republicans 'baby' but yeah Acorn should have been shut down. Doesn't mean Obama had any clue about anything they were doing. Just like ol McCain didn't know about all the things that Haliburton has done that were questionable.
ALL media should be suspect, and many other sources checked before believing anything. Fox won't admit to being fooled, however.

Like all media, as far as I'm concerned as long as they do not issue a correction when proven beyond a doubt they are wrong and instead pretending it never happened, in that instance they are lying outright.
Personally, I grow tired of Politics. It's always 2 polarized parties that promise you everything the other guy doesn't and also some black and white viewpoints and the other party "must be wrong and evil". But in the end, they both server the same masters, always chipping away at your civil liberties bit by bit in the name of progress, or security, or fighting the good fight. Meanwhile, both parties pretend to be outraged at one another, taking turns while the other is in power and abusing it so horribly when they are in the position themselves in the exact same manner. They say they will scrap all those horrible things the previous administration did, but instead they protect all of the abusers from prosecution, excuse and pardon everybody involved, extend or make permanent the most egregious portions and pretend like they aren't taking advantage of the new abuses opened up by their predecessors.
Of course, a real, true honest to goodness grassroots campaign starts, gets a bit of media attention then gets hijacked by whichever party isn't in power. (The anti-Iraq War and anti-Patriot act demonstrations for example were originally Libertarian led but taken over entirely by Democrats by the end, same for the Tea Parties but taken over by Big Government Republicans).
It's enough that I'm surprised people haven't made a topic "I gave up believing in Democracy".
Also Elodin, I understand you're not calling me a "Good little Socialist Sheep" as I have applauded the move to strip ACORN of its funding. As a Conservative myself it just burns me to see the Government waste people's money.
Personally I think the government shouldn't be ripped off by any organization. I'd almost suggest turning the IRS into a solely auditing service, have it audit every company given Federal funding and fine that company or organization 10 times the money it's given if it commits fraudulent acts. Also they should audit anybody on Welfare or unemployment who has any sort of red flag to them, with cases of Fraud resulting in them owing the Government double or the money back with 15% compounded interest (whichever is higher). Of course, no IRS means no income taxes other than perhaps a low base flat tax on eveybody that is low upkeep instead of having all of these exceptions and exemptions to worry about.
Also I'd suggest completely cutting the Department of Homeland Security out, as its roles were already in place with the CIA, FBI, NSA, ATF, ICE and the many more smaller organizations out there so it really is useless to have so many. Maybe even roll the ATF and ICE into the FBI as well since they're really just useless extentions that increase bureaucracy and lower communication efficiency between enforcement officials when they really need it. Also, Free Speech Zones should be everywhere on Public property, not just approved places. The Patriot act, with its warrantless arrests, torture, deportation, wiretapping and protection of companies that agree to such unethical, immoral behaviour should just be brought out to the street to die. Those are my two cents. Too bad BHO extended the Patriot act.
Oh yes, the Education system needs to be fixed. Schools are just making the curriculum dumber rather than have anybody fail and lose their funding. Perhaps we should just cut their funding for how bad a job they are doing these days at actually teaching kids and have them instate a curriculum that lets people actually fail if they don't try so that they don't fail at real life later on.
The previous is just from all of my observations as an outsider with no political stake in American politics, but my Husband, a descendant of John Adams, does and mostly agrees with this too. We live in Canada, the eighth least corrupt country in the world.

Well yes this deserves it's own topic, but you do realize that money pretty much owns the government lock stock and barrel right now right? Special interest groups have so much sway it is not funny. It doesn't matter Republican, Democrat, or what..or what they promise. It is so corrupt right now, that short of scrapping it and starting over...*shrugs*

Closure on the pimp videos.
That news story about voting frauds gave me the impression that it was the employees who were attempting to fool ACORN rather than ACORN attempting to fool the American public.
