Baldur's Gate 2? Glad you mention it...
Incredible game. The closest thing to starting a brand new life. Graphics are good, music is wonderful, which makes for such an intense atmosphere.
I'm in the middle of Chapter 2 with my Undead Hunter's good party. Some of the fights were quite tough, and I'm a little concerned about how well I will be doing against the tougher beasts.

...wonderful game...beat it 4 times I think...and I beat IWD and HoW ocne both, but my local Best Buy ran out of ToB though, so instead I just bought myself a copy of Pool of Radiance...not quite as good as BD2 altogether, but it's still pretty nice

I might not get to play ToB, because the bioware/interplay lawsuit is preventing anyone from doing a Macintosh version of the expansion for the time being...

Good game
Going thru it for the 6th time now. Started with a Thief and that was the most difficult to win with so far, mebe cause it was my first time though. I found a Gnome Priest of Talos the easiest to win with strangely enough, Half Elf Sorcerer was also fairly easy. I'm trying a Half-Orc Barbarian with Wizard Slayer kit now. Haven't tried any evil parties yet, usually I go true neutral and go with the Harpers. Maybe I'll try to be a Lawful Evil Halfing Druid just for kicks(not even sure if that is possible allowed). I really need to get ToB... I heard the spells changed alot in it though.

Jan Jansen, our deaf friend, is the funniest character. Koergan Bloodaxe is too. As is Minsc.

Yeah... usually it's a good game when there are quotes like that. =)
I actually find some of the romantic conversations with Aeire, Jaheira and the others a bit funny because they are so cliched. It's hard not to laugh. Doesn't make it much worse though, those cliches are classic fantasy stuff.

If I had my choice I would go for Planescape. Weird sure, but more role-playing and character defenition than BG. Minsc ROCKS! Haven't played neverwinter though so won't comment
oh and some minsc quotes
Go for the Eyes boo!
Minsc will lead with blade and boot, Boo will take care of the details!

BG2 was awesome for sure...maybe it's just that I haven't played long enough, but I wish NWN was more like BG2. At least in the beginning, it seems to be lacking the extended punch that I wished to find from the storyline and interesting interaction with the other characters, and little amusing thingies they threw in here and there. Ah well, hope it changes

Planescape was great, BG1 and BG2 were better, I think they messed up a little with NWN. In a world that has gone 3D crazy, I really liked the isometric view of the Bg series, seems that is now lost in the sands of time as well.

I hope I can eventually learn how to walk right in that...but does anyone know if there will be a BG3 or something? I'd like to see another along the same lines as that...but different

There once was BG.. then came BG2, and now there is NWN.
Itīs D&D for computers, you donīt need your imagination any more.. there will be worlds online, that you think are not real, but since they exist, they *are* real..
get it now.. and play.
