Pre-cast? Dragons do insta-kill summons before the battle begins if that's what you mean. You cannot gang up on them with 4-5 buffed skeleton warriors.
Btw how can you check the components?

No - Traaks Siraye (the dragon from a underground necropolis - where those nonsense about Sun God etc..) have a precast - protective spells like a priests, that can only be penetrated with the spells like a "Breach". By the way, this dragon is almost impossible to be killed with the any summons even without "insta-kill", the Dragon have insane + AoE damage in close combat. In addition the unreal amount of HP. (well at least it had on Insane difficulty with SCS in the BG2EE 1.3.2, but what on LoB + SCS, bg2ee 2.3673 - I do not know yet  )
To check the components that you have install, you need try to look at WeiDU.log data file in the directory where Chitin.key (usually - root directory of bg, if you have a GOG version like me).

I've downloaded this for my phone.
Recently quit 4 MMOs on separate occasions and needed a break.
I have not played much baldurs gate at all. I hope I am in for a treat! I tried never winter nights on phone and it would be way to tedious with inventory and no mouse. Hopefully that won't be an issue here. So far it's okay

Baldur's Gate 2 was a good game, but the D&D 2e strict mechanics make it less enjoyable than it could have been.
