btw, ice shield works like it should. I mean, not on cold immune creatures. but the fire effect should be replaced by an ice one

I don't think freezing attack works, seeing that applying an element to incinerate and stormbolt didn't work, but the name could stay, since you are replacing the skirmishers anyway.


I was thinking about another idea, having all the dark upgrades being undead and the white ones alive, but the problem I see is if you choose the goblin speciality (so as to use the raise dead of the animoshran) your choice of upgrades is going to be heavily conditioned.

of course, but I've just discovered you could change the elements too.

though, you can't fundamentally modify an ability, only a few parameters on a few of them.
in gamemechanics/defaultstats and gamemechanics/spells/creature_abilities

I don't know what you plan to use, but you can download my work here

I was also thinking what kind of heroes specialty would be good.

dwarfs are specialized in tier 1,2,3 and 5

specialities in tier 2, 3 (best shooter) and 5 (only flying unit) seem good. speciality in tier 1 is too strong.

other ideas :

speciality lizard bite (for level 7)

I could see blood drinker fit, maybe

intimidating (he could froze enemies and thus make them lose speed)

it's quite a crazy idea, but sacred hammer with spell circle of winter. the problem is it will probably hurt large creatures that aren't immune to ice. it would be better to modify tool of elrath, but it doesn't seem possible

I loove your town and creatures ;p But i gotta say that i do not like your tier 5, but thats just me..

And i think that its too bad that the tier 6 base is a 100 times more cool than the blacker upgrade :S (The treasureector is awesome)

Also i have created a level for each faction back when Tote got released, to test all the creatures and wich of the upgrades where the strongest.
In the map with Dwarfs in, i usually beat the enemy, but with your´faction i lost all the time (But i always had arround 4-6 Death Knights left to win).. So i think your town is underpowered?

Everything else is awesome! Your town is the best out there in the mod-town-seas

I thought about the specialities earlier

Vrashtar - Mindreaver (this guy is a demon who unfortunetly cast confusion on himself )

Avratar - Poison Master (after finding and eating some shrooms he got halucinations and killed his sister)

Mroc - Border Guard (this one was here earlier)

Goblin King
Souldrinker
Keeper of the Flame
Intimidate
Shadow Master

I've also tried to make another faction some time ago (like just after stopping with this one) and i have 2 units now but i don't carry on with it.

I might have seen a problem with the lunatic, they flee when they receive a retaliation, so you can't make use of cleave and brutality if the creature hasn't already retaliated. actually, cowardice makes them really terrible

it would be a shame if you didn't finish it.

making the creatures is the biggest part, and it is pretty good now, except that ice demons are too heterogeneous. they should probably have a new skillwhell too.
