I've been thinking, for quite a while now, that I'd like to see two completely flat maps, one small(8 resource spots), one large(16 resource spots). Completely devoid of all choke points and height differences. Seeing the balance on those kinds of maps would be very, very interesting.

- Time Warp cost increased from 75 to 100.
- Ghosts start with the energy upgrade built in.
- Make the natural expansion ramp smaller on Daedalus Point.

The mothership core cannon is a ridiculous feature to begin with. It's designed to allow a get-free-out-of-jail card to greedy expansion. It should not exist.

As to the vision reduction, I'm at odds with this a little. I very much like the lessened vision itself but the casting radius is a problem. Nexus cannon casting radius needs to be reduced, since you can throw it from a screen away, but if this means less casting radius on timewarp, that's really bad. It would mean 100% death rate agains any AA unit that's not marine or sentry.

And while I agree about diminishing the ramp on Daedalus I think the maps are faulty with encouraging too much turtling in general. There needs to be more than one way to attack your opponent. Is it too much to ask for a second ramp to your opponents main? (or give me leaping lings like in the campaing, I'd be content with that too)

Yeah, hydras, lol. If that happens I'll just stop playing random and go zerg because there's no point playing others anymore.

Patch seems ok to me, but I would like Nexus cannon to have range of 9 or maybe 10, but 13 range is quite ridiculous. Reducing the casting range of that ability would also be good way to nerf it, and same as vision range for MC.

Ghosts buffs are ok, we will see if they aren't good enough or if they are too good now(which I really doubt it).

About Hydras, yes reducing the gas cost would be quite a bad move, since on three bases Zerg has the gas problems and minerals are kind of irrelevant. But I am looking forward to see what they plan on doing with Hydras. I don't think that small buff would suddenly swing the balance in Zerg's favor. You guys forget that Hydras are quite terrible cost-per-cost units and would rarely trade efficiently.

As TLO said in his post, some small buff like reducing the upgrades cost, the +10 HP or +1 armor wouldn't be that problematic but could help and would make the Hydras more viable.

Tempest change, I don't know what to think of it, but I don't look at it as positive change.

About Swarm Hosts, it would be good if they change the Locusts to last for 10 seconds, but make them even more deadly and put their spawn cool down on 15 or 20 seconds. That way you will have high risk high reward kind of thing, that you have to get close with Swarm Hosts to your enemy so you could actually lose them, but if you micro them correctly with the rest of your army you can do better. That would also probably reduce the number of games where we see turtle-style Swarm Host play since Locusts won't be able to reach half of the map from their base and you would actually have a timing window where you could push/attack because Locusts are on cool down.

I didn't even manage to edit my post and you already comment on it.

I've added the part about Tempest and Swarm Hosts.

Yes, I've already said, I think that Hydra gas cost reduction is bad change. And the whole point about the +10 HP buff would be to not be hard hard countered by Siege Tanks or Colossi. If enemy has Colossi while you are on Roaches and Hydras, you need to:
1)Have Vipers
or
2)Have Corruptors
or
3)Pray that the Protoss will fuk up his engagement.

Even with all this, Hydras still die too fast to everything, not just Colossi. So even if you manage to kill the Colossi that doesn't mean that you will win the fight.

I guess they could become problematic with that buff because of stupid design of SC2 where everything has to have the hard counter, so you can't change something like this without changing something else for the opposite race which will then again introduce all other kinds of balance problems.

I just think that the +1 armour would do way more in making them last way longer against marines and take one more zealot hit to die, which is their biggest reason for dying now. +10 HP would help more against siege tanks, which are already pretty iffy against hydras, one bad unsiege and they're dead in a matter of seconds. Colossi are way better but can't buff hydras against them with anythin else than range(which is a really bad idea against anything else).

As to swarmhosts I would actually be more on the side of lenghtening the spawn lifetime and countdown while keeping the locust as they are. Currently a new spawn of locusts is ready just as you've killed the last one and ready to strike the swarmhost. If their lifetime was longer and the countdown as well, actually killing off the locust could be rewarded with a chance to kill the swarm hosts. This would require more swarmhost running around or stronger defensive placements(which is already negated by the tempest buff).
