Well, just with the speed upgrade Hydras are much more present in the games than in WoL. They have their room in ZvP and also in ZvZ (but they need to be protected!).
A small buff (+1 armor/10 hp) doesn't sound bad, but another suggestion I read a few times and I liked a lot is giving hydras extra damage against bio units. This would:
- Help hydras vs bio T engaments (which right now Bio just destroy hydras in no time).
- Help immensely in ZvZ. With this change Hydras could possibily fight against mutalisk (which would allow a nerf to the bonus damage against bio that spores currently have, because right now is just stupid they kill mutalisk in 3 shots lol. That just show how bad is trying to fix a problem by making a change to something that isn't the problem (the problem was mutalisk regeneration)).
- It wouldn't affect ZvP.
As for Swarm Hosts, I said multiple times that they are veeeery bad with their current stats. And as long as Blizzard doesn't consider SH the problem, my interest in the game will keep decreasing

Lol, bonus vs bio? Are you serious?
Mutalisk? Denied!
Ultralisk? Super denied!
Zealot? Denied!
Marines? Denied!
Roaches? Probably would still beat them gas-for-gas but we'd see more of hydras in roach wars, which is a plus.
Though to be fair, marines would still be way cheaper than hydras.

It doesn't need to be a big bonus, just a small to help them.
Still, mutalisk with their super regeneration and mobility would be very strong.

But hydra damage is already pretty damn high. It's not like they can't out damage non-stimmed bio. They just die like flies. That's why I think the armour bonus would be better. Otherwise we'd see a ridiculous bloodbath every time they meet if there's even one line of roaches to keep them safe. On the other hand, that sounds fun, let's do that, I play mech with terran anyway.

But what if the Terran adds tanks to the bio composition?

Terran doesn't use tanks with bio, what kind of heresy are you speaking of? Everyone knows it has to be mines because tanks are slow and actually effective in killing banelings all the time, not just with lucky hits. Foolish protoss player talk.
Of course, no zerg in their right mind would go hydras+roach against bio either. It's suicide.

As far as I know, Byul Destroyed some Terran in Proleague recently with Roach/Hydra. It is not completely unplayable, but it depends on the map a lot and it isn't as viable as Muta+Ling+Bane.

In the past year I saw roach hydra a good number of times in ZvT. But a lot of times if relies on making damage with an early mass roach push. Also some players like HyuN liked more than Muta/linb/Bane.
But now, with the combined upgrades, vikings just wreck vipers...and tanks take care of the ground, of course.
BTW, today first day of GSL, both herO and Rain made it!

Yup, third game of Rain vs. Solar reminded me how stupid Phoenix upgrade is and how they counter whole Zerg air with that upgrade. Not balance whining or anything, because Solar made a ton of mistakes, but I just really hate that hard-counter design of the game.

Hard countering is a way to cater to macro noobs.
EA did the same thing with RA 3 after CnC 3, them all noobs(like DF) got steamrolled by us macro people so they whined and whined and whined. Then they got a total cookie cutter game. yay...
Because it's totally reasonable that one rocket soldier that costs 300 should beat 10 tanks that cost 6000, right?

The soundproof is nothing new, Jaedong always cheats with his headphones, like a MMA-fighter, always taking those two free groin shots you don't get any penalties for.
I would argue that the prize money in the current format korea league is doesn't matter to anyone UNLESS they win the 1st price. Their pay from their teams is more than adequate to make the lower levels prices seem quite inconsequential.
