Ok, here I have some new favorites (Conflux doesn't count and no morale penalties):
1. Halberdier (good offensives)
2. Wolf Raider (Double strike)
3. Grand Elf (Double shooter)
4. Vampire Lord (No relitation + Life drain)
5. Lich King (Death cloud attack)
6. Dread Knight (curse and death blow)
7. Black Dragon (immune to magic
If Conflux is counted:
1. Halberdier
2. Storm Elemental
3. Grand Elf
4. Vampire Lord
5. Lich `King
6. Dread Knight
7. Phoenix (growth 4)
Not much change, only 2 creatures.

Here's the list:
1. Centaur captains (although those castle guys are pretty close )
2. Marksmen (wolf riders and harpy hags are right behind)
3. Royal Griffins - nothing beats unlimited retaliations (it is hard to preserve grand elfs)
4. Vampire Lords - awesome special! (Crusaders are second best)
5. Mighty, mighty Gorgons - kill them 7th levels! (Minotaur Kings meke it very hard to decide between the two: faster and make more damage, plus good morale:-)
6. Dread Knights/ Naga queens - which is better? Naga's 30 constant damage and no retaliation or those guys's fearsome death blow?
7. Archangels - although I like to have black dragons because of their awesom looks, resurection, constant 50 damage and speed makes archangels the best 7th level around.

for coolness:
1) inf troglodyte
2) storm ele.
3) cerberi
4) arch mage
5) pit lord
6) efreet sultan
7) archdevil
for strength:
1) centaur captain (fast and annoying with good health, great at wasting retal and 2x size for blocking shooters)
2) storm ele (so annoying to deal with great health)
3) iron golems (they are so hard to kill often save u in a big fight b/c the health)
4) vampire lord (unfair)
5) mighty gorgon (nasty)
6) dread knight (close call over the efreet sultan just barely, could have went either way)
7) black dragon (over archangel since with AA in this army they can't res the undead) firebreath attack and armageddon possibility makes it better to have the blackdragons over the AAs here i think
