I play vanilla minecraft because I'm to stupid to install mods.
It's fun most of the time, got bored of the survival mode, went into creative just for the bleeps. been building a village of sort as of lately.
other than that, jumped into Far Cry 2 and some nice indie game, Steamworld Dig
Far Cry 2. one thing that annoys me most so far, other than a lack of weapon customisation. and that is random attacks by vehicles.
oh for bleep sake, can't a guy just drive around in his buggy without random douches ramming you in their bloody technicals?? for bleeps sake.

I tend to spend more time building in map editor than playing. but I didn't try minecraft, I'm more interested into building multiplayer arenas in FPS.
are there not enough weapons to choose from in FC2?
the bolt action rifle was pretty cool
though, I'm saying that but I'm playing ratchet : deadlocked and loving the weapon ameliorations

Same here. Landed in a fantastic biome - jungle, mountains, beach, mushroom island and even some snow forest.
So I have been building like crazy. Village, massive olde worlde tavern (with a pooch to guard), church, school. Of course I have to build a secret mountain underground lair - the hub of my evil empire.
Then pyramids, lighthouses, temples ...... its why I love Minecraft .... the only limit is your imagination.
Ooh and setting fire to sheep.

Crusader Kings 2 as Scotland. Somehow, after a crusade against a Pagan English King, I inherited like all of England lol. Now I'm thinking about forming the Empire of Britannia (I like Scotland better though:/)
Fallout: New Vegas, it was on sale on Steam with all DLCs and everything for like 4 euros.
The Wolf Among Us, replay knowing the twists and turns in the season finale.

Forza Horizon.
Ideal game for short fun chill-out sessions after those hard days in work...
Its' sequel looks really promising (rain effects!), but I would rather buy a PS4 instead of Xbox One for this money. Of course, both consoles are still too expensive, and don't offer enough must-have games to make me wanna buy them, even if I had the money...

All the biomes I dislike. when building something random, I prefer plains or forest biome, where landscaping is rather easy.
even on my main survival save I searched for such a place, which I found. after about several hours.

I'm thinking about getting the vanilla CK2 for a good distraction from illness. Looks a little complex or time-consuming, so I've been watching Arumba's Norse-Rebirth videos.
What do you think of the game so far? And are you playing the standard game or DLC? Any recommendations or info would be helpful.

I was building a village in survival, but you need a lava rod in order to cure zombie villagers. Now I cannot find a nether fortress and have gotten bored. If you have any tips...

Depends on what you like about strategy games. I'm not so keen on Crusader it's too much of the small things. I don't like playing house with my kings and queens that much.

Yeah there is that, but overall it looks pretty good. Raiding as the Norse looks fun but starting at 1066 probably makes it harder to go the Viking route.

Well I gave in and am starting CK2. Goodness, reviews were spot on about getting started. Just like may others, I started it and could do nada. Read the manual, saw some of the tutorial. Tried again and snailed along. Yeehaw! Ok back to the rest of the Tutorials. Tiny text isn't helping either. Couldn't find anything about recommended Rez.

It was very fun and satisying for me at first, having all pieces fall together, expanding the village slowly while storing away enough spare resources to buy new animals and seeds.
Then I got bored of it.
It's a challenge of how long you can last before something goes wrong. No tech tree, new animals and crops offer nothing apart from widening the food pallete of your town (which reduces plague chance) and that's it. Sadly, not enough for me.
edit:
As for the good sides ()
micromanagement is what I really enjoyed (although reassigning all farmers to other jobs - like say, chopping goddman firewood - during winter could be automatic),
the survival aspect is very real, even slight overpopulation can kill you if the winter is long and the crops get sick so you always need to plan ahead,
which is easier done when you build a town hall because the statistics provided by it are very detailed,
