The fight vs Melodia isn't that hard.

Try not to protect your lichs too hard during tactic phase (jope you have tactics ), so Melodia will attack them with her goldies.

Mass slow first round.....

Gangbang her goldies on your turn, preferable with ghost dragons first, so you may be lucky and age them with their speciality.

Try to bring your vamp lords as soon as possible over the wall to kill the grandelves and drain your hitpoints back.

Your big stack of skeleton warriors should be able to give her a good fight vs her war unicorns and her cnetaur captains.

Mass shield next round(s)...

Try to keep your vamp lords "alive" at all costs. Those will win you the fight in the end, because she can't bring them down completely.

When she casted first time implosion, cast protection from earth next time. This will mostly lead to a mass dispel from her in next round.

In the end, you should fight with your vamp lords vs her dendroids and battle dwarves, and that is an easy going for you...

I will probably try again and pick resistance in the first scenario. Not much of an useful skill, but it may help "a bit" in the last, with some luck. That scenario remembers me old HoMM2 days when some noob players choose knight or barbarian as main and got dispatched by warlocks in a few turns.
The problem with that campaign is, you always forget that you will never have a spellbook

So artillery is a MUST!
Luck and Moral are good too, because there is no magic skill and no wisdom for you.

8 slots to fill:

Logistics, artillery, offense, armorer, luck, moral, resistance, archery.

I can't! As soon as earth is offered, I try to click cancel but mouse does not want to go there. Weird.

Of course I had only combat skills, but no resistance. And those Lbolts made some 1000 damage, with only first week army, no chance.

I think on the fifth mission Aine is your main enemy though when I've played it she avoided me, she attacked only my scouts and barbarian town. I've never been attacked during the first week, so I've explored the area and killed almost everything, except Ancient Behemoths. As I can recall there were some zealots or champions somewhere and they've joined me.Then I captured his two towns and he already had nagas and giants,so I built my army from there, then I don't remembered but I managed somehow. Try to send scouts to confuse the AI

And I, too, am rediscovering the amazing world of HoMM III with HD patch 2.19 (thanks baratorch again) and playing Dragon's Blood campaign (now in the 3rd scenario in which Mutare must find Vial of Dragon Blood). Surely, I play better now, thanks HC. I've managed to capture two Ordwald's dungeons by this time (mid week 3rd), hire 11 red dragons (I feel Ordwald's shivering), and collect about 50,000 gold and about 50 sulfur!!! I think I can finish this scenario till the end of month 2nd, cause I remember that pandora's battle was tough.

That's "Returning to Bracada" you're thinking of and it's the final (fifth) mission in the campaign.

I remember having to restart the scenario more than once because I couldn't finish it.Having no spells at all in the campaign is bad already, now you have to fight strong spellcasters too...
If I remember correctly,in a later SoD campaign Yog can use spells.I have to say I was glad he "changed his mind" about that

I remember there was a Behemoth guarding something important that I always attacked them. My stats were very good to kill them even with a low army. From what I remember i just gathered whatever I could before the enemy approached. I didn't manage to beat him, I was just avoiding him and was trying to complete the scenario because if I recall correctly you don't have to beat your enemy. There was something else needed to be done.

You have to give the helm of heavenly enlightenment and the sword of justice to a seer, but first concentrate on eleminating the enemy.Try to gather as many units as you can during the first two weeks if the AI doesn't attack you, then outflank his heroes somehow and capture his castles, there are 3 i think one to the northwest, one to the southwest and one to the southeast. The first two are your major problems. There are two entrances to the snow terrain, both guarded by diamond golems I think.

The campaign is tricky but not impossible.

BTW to get to the seer you have to defeat Archangels,so that should be your priority after you defeat red player,or if you think you can do take them with a medium army good luck.

I remember i past the level without defeating the enemy. Your stats must be high enough so neutral creatures are much easier to beat. I believe I had diplomacy and gather some of the units thus I managed to win.

You should try them! You'll really like them if you're good at playing the single scenarios. I'm not very experienced so I'm still working on my first one.

I've finished 'Vial of Dragon Blood' week 7 (I had 90+ Blackies, so, obviously, this scenario may be finished even earlier, week 5?). Had I had Town Portal I could move faster and recruit more from starting towns, but, alas, I didn't find it anywhere.

OK, I've started 4th scenario with 2 crystals, but I still can't understand where my Vial which I found in the pandora box?

Well, but my crystal dragons have 61/60 Attack/Defense. This means their own attack + Mutare attack + 5 bonus. And where are another 5 Attack/Defense?

How to finish Adrienne's campaign / 2nd scenario quickly?

You must capture all dwellings till month 7th. Though, if you manage to eliminate your two computer opponents, you'll complete this task much more faster.

5 steps toward your win:

1. Ensure that Adrienne has Expert Logistics and Earth.
2. Go east, sleep on Dragonflies (the rest of army put into mines when possible).
3. Capture two towns (I captured them day 2), learn Summon Earth Elemental from Scholar near the second town.
4. Visit purple tent and, voila, day 4 you'll capture the first enemy town and day 5 eliminate your first necro.
5. Here the key: beat on 1-1-6 1000 Water Elementals guarding gold mine and take awesome reward - 1000 Gnoll Marauders (you should summon elementals and cast mass slow, Intelligence helps a lot here).

Now nothing crushes you. Good luck!

Yes.

Last scenario of this campaign is quite cool. Try to win it NOT by surviving the given amount of time, but by eleminating all enemies..
