Yup.
The Faceless is the mothlike creature second from the left. The image is from Heroes Kingdoms so it wouldn't surprise me if it isn't widely known.

Oh, shiny, I never saw that image before. That's interesting, if they have Faceless in Heroes Kingdoms, wouldn't that indicate they could make an apperance in Heroes 6 also? After all, Kingdoms was made after H5, so that would sort of indicate a direction they're moving in, or at least one could guess it did.
Btw. that would make the creature in the 4th panel a Naga?

Yeah. It's a screencap from one of the introductory movies where a narrator outlines the six elemental dragons and their (original) associated races. The Faceless and Naga don't make actual appearances in the game, just this video. I can upload it if you wish.

While I don't think it's too much asked, and would gladly embrace 2 new factions per add-on, realistically speaking, I don't see it coming.
One of my highest hopes for H6 was to see a wide variety of factions. I wanted to see the return of the Swamp faction from H3, with the Basilisks and the Gorgons, the Gnolls and Lizardmen, and a bad-ass Hydra as top tier, not outranked by some Shadow Witch. The Hydra took a fall I never thought fit. It was one of my favorite top units in H3.
I wanted the Behemoth to make a comeback also, side by side with the Thunderbird. I also missed the Effrets, the Fairy Dragon, and the much discussed Naga. The Rakshasa failed to make up for it, in my book.
And the list can go on... Long story short, I doubt I'll see much of the above mentioned come true. They just don't seem eager to focus on having a solid number of factions, but with only 5 now, I'm quite sure they'll see a must in adding at least 1 more per add-on. However, as far as betting goes, I wouldn't step anywhere beyond that. As such, with this low a number of factions, my only hope is they make them count, fact which they seem confident about. We'll see.

The faceless could be the final tier of a H3-dungeon while the dragons take their role in the dark elves' one. Now let me think again,5 factions are:
1.Haven(obvious)
2.Necropolis(obvious)
3.Inferno(obvious)
4.Academy-They take a role as the necromancers are dark mages in the Academy so they will surely make apparence.
5.Orcs-When the orcs were released from the wizard's chains? Surely the same time the wizards were weak and Belketh strong.
On the firs expansion we might feature the re-apparence of the two elven factions:Sylvan and Dungeon as they are connected to each-other.
The second expansion might feature Dwarves and Faceless in a great struggle for the caverns.Nagas(wich everyone,including me, awaits)have no role in a war as they live underwater so,do not give yourselves false hopes(thow nagas would make an exellent race).

At any rate I feel having the Faceless as their own faction if there's already another Shadow Dragon faction around would be redundant.
9 factions would be an interesting number to ultimately end up with. I'd prefer a rounded off 3 good, 3 evil, and 3 neutral.
Either that or maybe scrap the distinct alignments all together and instead have a table of different alliances that each faction has, sort of like an intertwining, confusing network of alliances, pre-WW1 style.

Thanks for the file Cepheus.
It's kinda confusing that the angels are a separate "faction" but in HOMM they are with the men and the wizards are men too. I'm now not sure how the 10 factions are counted by Ubi.

I guess so. But if the angels were not good enough to make up a whole faction, I guess that would be the case with Faceless (who look like a "dark angel" in the video to me) as well, and I agree with blizzardboy, they'd be just another shadowy underground faction. So now I tend to think the 10th faction is completely unknown.

Well TotE gave us eight, plus Naga equals nine. I'm not sure about the last one, but maybe Free Cities, or maybe someone we haven't seen yet.
