I don't like them, especially the upgrade. too much stuffs on them.
they looked great in H5, they had nothing more than what was needed

Erm... they look 90% like the Angels from Heroes V, only now they have two over-sized and extremely impractical swords instead of one over-sized and extremely impractical sword. So apart from the second sword... what else?

Quote: I can live with dual wield but it seems...I dunno...inappropriate for angels? They're supposed to be benevolent in image yet able to kick ass. A single bigger sword seems to fit the image better. I dunno. Maybe it's just me.
totally agreed.
ok, we already had dual/multiple weilding in the series, but this time it's... weird, doesnt fit the image of the angel...

I bet that mercy is used to ressurection and judgement to deal demage. or mercy is used to deal light demage to undead and demons, and judgement deal... fire demage...?

Judging from the vampire attack animations I predict ridiculous/borderline lame super-combo-spinning-jump-lazor attacks

ROFL! Imagine the Celestial doing a War Dance combo with all the jumps and everything. :-D
Any chances that the higher ups might alter the looks of the celestials based on the input from this board? *crosses fingers*

lets hope they change the ridiculous names aswell
I keep writing that it is an angel and then I remember that it is called Seraph, which was an upgraded angel in H5 and I have to edit.
But then, their names probably fit into the Angel lore in the game.

The new angel is cool but not as cool as the V version. The two blades are sweet and the wing armor makes sense. The upgraded version should look more upgraded, though. May be if it has two swords but the normal has just one. The names are the thing that makes the new angels little lame.

Why has the Angel to get more and more gay with each subsequent Heroes game?

I really like how the new Angel isn't the androgynous massive keyblade thing that H5 had, that Angel was just a disappointment. I still yearn for the glory days of the manly bearded dude angels though.

One DOES find that priestesses pray an awful lot these days for divine intervention... :-P
But seriously, the angel needs some attention...from the devs, that is.

Just make them look like they did in heroes 3 where they where awesome especially the difference between the angel and the arch angel.
And they should just wield a good looking snow sword.
Edit: lol snow sword = b@stard sword

I'm actually not very fond of the HIII ones OR the HV ones.
I'd like them to meet in the middle of those.
Female angel with ornate yet functional (I.E. not a chain-mail bikini) armor with a reasonably proportioned weapon, preferably a spear, or maybe even mace and shield.
The hood can stay, the wide dress can go, but add lots of flowing white cloth as replacement.
Give the upgrade a flaming weapon and a halo*, along with a heavier armor and softly shimmering wings. (*golden disc of light behind the head, not little glowing ring over head.)

Actually I love the new Ang... sorry, Serphs. Always like that kind of grotesque, exagerated look in Heros V, and nice that they managed to keep it in Heroes VI.
What I cannot understand is why everybody persists on nagging about the Angel, and praising the Succubus. Now that's a design that should have been thrown into the bin.

Am I the only one liking the wing-guards? I think they are pretty awesome. Odd, yes, but awesome.
Actually the design is nice, very similar to H5 in my opinion, but turning them into females removes the emo/pretty boy factor of the H5 versions.
The only thing I really dislike is the dual-wielding part.

Ok that absolutely slayed me.
I went back and checked, they do look like pretty boys with emo haircuts.
Hilarious.
For the record though, they were chicks in HV.

You sure about that? They looked pretty androgynous to me, like they got ripped right out of Final Fantasy, especially with that weird keyblade thing. I could never tell what gender they were.
Also, the sword in H5 was way more impractical than what they have now. I liked the simple, practical, effective longswords from HIII the best, though, I have to say.
