I just would like to see some fixes, like adventure cave crash for example.
I was playing Heroes 6, but no way - Heroes 3 is still the king.

Error clicking armageddon's blade campaign
I installed this wog + era 1.81 all in one but I get a bunch of error's as soon as I click on Armageddon's Blade campaign on front screen something about can't find the resources. I installed it onto a clean install of Heroes 3 complete.
I think I'm installing it correctly. I unpacked the file to my Heroes 3 directory and then it runs the Wog install automatically and pops up the HD mod. But for some reason it breaks it. I'm using WinXP.
Here is screen shot of first error but there are quite a bit more after then the AB campaign window loads but all the clickable campaigns are gone.

Well started off running H3WOG.exe from the 3d application where it says Apply and Launch. Then I tried h3wog.exe_HD.exe and h3wog.exe and then the original heroes3.exe and heroes3hd.exe. RoE and SoD campaigns come up without a problem but AB has all them resource errors where it would work fine right before installing that file.

Quote: Era is h3Era.exe, not heroes3.exe, not H3WOG.exe.
I don't even have an H3era.exe that get's installed with this allinone Wog+Era 1.81.
I did a search for era and found the era 1.8.bat. I ran it and it created an Era 1.8.exe for me but it didn't help the problem I'm having with AB. Was that bat suppose to be run automatically as part of the install? Cause it wasn't listed in instructions above to run that.

Did you install on SoD? WoG adds files, not deletes.

I have same problems but did not noticed until now, as when I want to play regular campaign, I play regular Heroes. Armageddon campaign shows missing resources if run on WoG and exits. Not a big deal for me.

Yeah mine is Heroes 3 Complete. All 3 Campaigns work before installing but after it says AB has missing resources. I guess it will still work properly. I just happened to be wanting to do a campaign so that was first thing I clicked on after installing it.
Am I suppose to run it from Era 1.81.exe that I got from running Era 1.81.bat as mentioned above?

It corrupts my regular Heroes campaign also when just running Heroes3.exe. So I have to have 2 installs. On Wog 3.58f it worked fine either from Wog.exe or Heroes3.exe

No, simple h3wog.exe is enough. It seems that wog breaks the Complete AB campaignes.

Uh.. I think it's because the installer replaces archives that contain AB resources with dummy files to trick SoD's loading code into thinking that AB is installed and it is allowed to show Conflux town and other AB stuff.

Well this is something that must of been done with this install of Wog + Era allinone install cause regular WoG 3.58f on mine works fine loading up AB or switching to Heroes3.exe and loading up SoD.
Is there any way I can fix that? If it is just dummy files that been replaced, which ones do I need to copy back and would that break anything?
[Edit] Well I looked in my data folder and replaced these 4 files that were 1kb each and had AB in there name with ones from my regular install and it works now.

Oh, truly forgotten. I should fix the installer to add (not replace) these files in future. Thanks.

Not sure if this is a problem but while I have you guys here, cause I'm still having quite a few random crashes especially if I load a few times I get a crash almost every time after like the 3rd or 4rth load. While I was in the data folder I decided to copy my regular data Wog 3.58f data folder to the wog+era data folder but not overwrite and just compare each file.
I noticed the zeobjts.txt file is quite a bit smaller in this install (216kb) than in the regular WoG 3.58f install (307 kb). I did a file compare on both and it's missing alot of objects that are in the other file.
I guess this is the way it's suppose to be?

Only thing I installed on the other one is the HoMM3 HD 2.98f.7z which is the newest version of the HD mod that's installed on this allinone install and the New_objects_ver_1_09.rar which I already installed in this version also.
I can reinstall the original 3.58f WoG to make sure but I think it must of came with that.

1.09 patch is adding new objects data in zeobjts.txt, thus the different size. it is NOT coming with original install.

Try to install WoG 3.58f + Era 1.8 on raw SoD/Complete and play. HD is safe, but one cannot rely on new objects patch though.

Yeah I got the 307 kb file from the new objects install but for some reason if there is a zeobjcts file already in that folder it doesn't overwrite it when it gets installed. So it kept the file from this install.
So I don't need the new objects 1.09 or the map editor patch that comes with it?
That's something I wasn't sure about cause I read somewhere in this thread that it wasn't included.
