Vlad placed the bag on the back seat of his challenger. Lena was sitting in the passenger seat and browsed the radio stations
- Meh... 38 radio stations and nothing good on them.
- I got used to it. well, let's better get going.
Soon enough, the two were near the apartment complex where Kane lived. Vlad parked the car in the underground parking lot and went u to Kane's apartment. Vlad noticed the duct taped door. He knocked on them and opened.
- Sdrastvuti... Wow... you have quite the company here- Vlad noticed.- he handed the bag to Kane.
- fetch some glasses if you please. Oh, yeah, this is Lena, my daughter. Lena, this is Jack Kane, a comrade of mine.

I want to know his position. He surely will try to contact me, I've dealt a hard blow on the national guard. His tincans alone didn't cause as much damage as I did. you two young ladies wouldn't understand. I have issues with the states. The machinations of the Union and the states were the cause that lead to the destruction of the legion and most of those who knew about it's existance. howerver this is not the place to discuss politics.
Vlad opened a vacuumed package of sausage and opened a jar of pickles.

"What Mallard wants is to be left alone by Inferno while he takes over the city. What Inferno wants on the other hand is a masterhacker to break into a computer. That is why I need Mallard, and that is why you will help me make a plan so that he will come along with us."
He emptied his glass and looked at Vlad. "Any ideas? I'm coming up empty as this ain't originally my plan to begin with. I am simply given the task without any further knowledge."

- I have a ton of guns back at the PMC HQ. Armor and some other gadgets as well. So you say that the location of the catalyst is in a file in a pc under the rubbish of Zero's mansion? How about..?
- AI buster is out of the question. It destroys the electronics completely.- Lena said and drank.- and I don't recall that Evolon have something that could bypass the security systems of a pc.
- As I said back at the club I can provide armor, weapons and heavy air support. I can outfit a small army, however I only own two suits of Mk-89 and they're both my size. With the required materials and time, we can assemble more. If we can agree with Mallard then it would be great. Inferno is out of control too. I think that a dose of liquid nitrogen would neutralise him and then dump him somewhere in the depths of the Pacific. That would work right? Now, tell me, what you know about our dear Ouroboros?- Vlad asked Lisa.

My spare suit is slightly too big for you. But don't worry, I'll have the required material and the blueprints. I can assemble one in several hours. You only need to choose the faceguard. I won't touch Inferno. For now.
- Who's this Inferno fellow?- Lena asked.
- A lunatic and an extreme pyromaniac. Used to be a great hero in this city, untill he went nuts a year ago when someone, chujznaet who murdered his family. Now back to business. You know who you talk to now. Tell me, how much you think Mallard is willing to pay?

"Mallard will be a problem." Miasma whispered from the window. It didn't explain any farther.
"How far do you think you can trust Mallard?" Melony clarified. "If you find the location of the Catalyst, then can you trust him not to take it for himself? Kane mentioned destroying it... but wouldn't the 'machine god' want a little bit more? He would be too much of a threat if he got his hands on it, so we would have to take him out after learning the location... If the computer even has the location on it."
Miasma continued to glare at the horizon. So, the second one comes. Time for round two.

"Mallard won't pay." Kane answered. "Why would he? He'll be doing us a favor. Besides, I'm already doing him one." He closed his fist on the arm which the bombs were planted. "If you need money to do this I can pay you whatever you need, it will not be an issue."
He looked at Melony. "You do not need to worry about Mallard, he is already sort of a God. And between us, there ain't anyone in the world who can stop us. Except maybe Ouroboros. I am also sure he will not come in person, I have this feeling there won't be much of his human self left. He will have an android of sort to hack the computer for us. We will get it first, don't worry. Me and Vlad would be well capable of dealing with an army of machines of we need to."

The Immortal landed on the top of the highest tower in the city. It looked far and wide, scoping out where the soul of darkness lay. The Harbinger was not near it, that was for sure. But where was he? No matter, the souls of others proud and strong lay within a certain building. The Immortal looked deeper. A shroud permeated the building. Was this where the soul of darkness lay?
"We shall see..." whispered the Immortal as it opened its wings and flew towards Kane's apartment.

Miasma froze, looking out the window still. "You four want to run. Now! Kane, take Melony away from here as fast as you can. Meet up somewhere else!" Before they could ask any questions, a wall of shadows was erected between them and the window.
G9 watched the massive being of light fly towards the apartment that held all those fools. Well, well. Time to play. It smiled and, wraith like, flitted from rooftop to rooftop following the creature.

The Immortal crashed through the window and blasted a shock wave of fiery light throughout the room, destroying the windows, and knocking back Miasma.

Miasma hissed as the light singed its body, blasting the creature back with a shadow spike that shattered with the force it hit the Immortal... not leaving a scratch. But the attack did succeed in sending the creature back outside the apartment, and following it out immediately, smashing into the creature's chest.
G9 watched, waiting for the opportune moment...

Now G9 would not have its body harmed like this. the creature seemed to be impervious to any harm it or Miasma could deal... But there were ways around that. Especially when your body didn't have to stay in one piece. It jumped down on the creature, driving it, and Miasma, to the ground. G9 grabbed and put one claw over its eyes. "Run, body." G9 hissed as it implanted a part of itself in the creature's brain. "I won't have control of this thing for very long, and I want you to stay nice and whole for me..."
Miasma followed its advice.

- Not good, jobtvajumat- Vlad cursed, and while the creature was preocupied he made sure that everyone left the apartament.
- Get in.- He unlocked the car and sat in it.- let's bust this joint. So much of a normal quiet discussion tvajumat. I ain't takin' money from you Kane, don't even think about it. I was hoping to leech them out of Mallard.- He said while driving very fast back to the PMC compound. A speed meter took a photo of Vlad while he showed it the finger.
- Nachui tibia- He said and spat out the window. Along the way, he made several car crashes to cause a mess in the cities traffic.
- Ruski za ruliom, problemi dahuja- He said.- We're here.- They drove through the gate.
- I bought us some time, though I don't know how much.

The Immortal began to notice how hampered its movements were becoming. "Nowhere near the control I wanted, in fact, I can only slow your joints... but it gives me time to escape. Fare the ill, may you die next we meet."
I may have bit off more than I can chew... I need to recuperate from this loss of my body and power. And then a thought occurred to it. "Oh Xion... I have a puzzle for you."
G9 bolted as well.
Miasma stumbled on Oroboros's doorstep. So much... damage... damn. It fell to its knees. I need some place to hide... cool... dark... Miasma stumbled down the hole it had made just... a few minutes, an hour ago? It dragged itself to the hall, broke the lights, and went into a trance-like coma.
Melony was silent the entire ride, absentmindedly petting Tiberius. It's after me... Miasma fought that thing... And I just ran. She noticed how close to breaking down she was in the car, but didn't care. When they got to Vlad's hide away, she hugged Kane, crying softly. ((Vlad wouldn't notice, Kane would.))

Kane held Melony close to himself. "Miasma is powerful, however powerful that creature was it will not be able to kill Miasma. There is nothing any of us could do." he whispered.
