She smiled cutely at him, "Well, I guess that I don't have any right now. Though I should probably call my boss at some point... Unless he thinks that I died in the mall with all those other people..." She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment, trying to think of what she should do. Finally, she made up her mind.

Kane smiled. "Great! First I will do is to find out more about some of the names I remember, but I don't know how to do that at all. You could possibly help me out with that, right? You're very intelligent and stuff, it shouldn't be too hard for you."
He yawned a bit. "What do you know, seems like I'm a bit tired. Nevermind that, I am curious if you remember any of these names: Blackbeard, Vlad, Inferno, Rex Mallard, Sidewinder. They are the ones I remember from before the amnesia, and would be a good way to start out my search."

"I only know about two, and those are Vlad and Inferno. Vlad was a mercenary in the Villain wars who worked for the criminal mastermind Zero for a while. There are rumors that he has made his group larger and is somewhere in this city or the Russian mainland. "
"Inferno is... Or at least was a hero. He fought beside Zero as well, though his motives were a bit more noble than Vlad's. Inferno disappeared, rumors have it that he was mortally injured, others say that he was crippled. I don't know what to believe, but I do know that he was able to manipulate heat, combusting people and things that were a threat to him and society. No one knows where he went."
She stood up suddenly, holding out her hand. "But don't just take my word for it! Come on!"

Kane took her hand and rose. "Alright then, where are we heading first?" he motioned for her to lead ahead, muttering something like 'ladies first'.
Why am I dragging this girl into this? It could get dangerous...

"Oh, just your everyday old neighborhood library! They have computers and books full of this stuff there!" She almost walked him briskly out the door when she noticed that she was still wearing the same bloodstained and damaged clothes she had been wearing when she was shot.
"Never mind." She told him. "I need new clothes and a shower first. Then, we will go to the library."

"The shower is in there." he pointed at a door in the other end of the room. "I take it you don't want help showering, but I should cover up your wound better beforehand. If it gets filled with water the bleeding will start again and it will hurt like hell. Also, if you like baggy clothes you can borrow mine. If not I could go out and find some for you."

"Thank you Jack, but you don't need to buy me anything. I'll wear the baggy clothes." She rolled up her sleeve, exposing her wound and most of her shoulder. "Alright, do what you need to do." She told him.
"Oh, and before we go out, you might want to put you glasses back on. No sense drawing unneeded attention to ourselves, right?"

Kane put on his glasses. "I need the glasses to see things normally. When not wearing them everything is bright and I can barely see anything at all." he wipped a knife out of his pocket and cut off the bandage, as it were already bloody. "This might sting a bit."
He drenched some cotton in sterilized water, then started cleaning the wound again. Afterward he put on a new bandage and covered it in a waterproof adhesive bandage. "Brave girl." he said. "I'll put the clothes just outside the shower for when you're finished."
He kissed her on the cheek and went back to his clothing cabinet to find a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt, a pair of socks, boxershorts and a jacket. Luckily he wasn't too broad over the hips, so with a belt the jeans wouldn't fall off her. He then strapped on all of his weapons again, and then put on a black leather coat.

Melony took a warm shower, though she tried to be as quick as she could be, so that the could help Kane find what he was looking for. While she was taking her shower, Miasma was soul-searching, and so was she.
Melony was trying to sort through her emotions through all of the recent stress she had just gone through. Here was a man that she cared for, but he was also the same one who, as a boy, caused her incredible psychological damage. He was also a known villain, but he had taken her to his home and cared for her like she was part of his family. He couldn't remember a thing about his past, and he only had her to help him.
How could what she felt for him be wrong? But then, how could she feel this way so quickly about a man that she hardly knew...
When she was done with her shower, she decided that she would help him for now, and if it lead to anything... Melony decided to leave that for the future.
After Melony had dried off, she opened the door a crack and pulled in the clothes that Kane had left out for her. Pulling them on and pulling the belt as tightly as she could (Barely getting it to fit her small body), Melony walked out. She smiled at Kane and held out her hand.
"Shall we go, Jack?"

It was nearing dawn as Edmund returned to the Cathedral. After beating the bikers, he had foiled a mugging by roaring at the thief. Both the thief and the victim fled for their lives.
Edmund was exhausted, there was very little wind today. Meaning he had to fly rather than glide and considering his weight it was very tiring.
As he entered the clocktower he climbed up into what he knew was the darkest spot during daylight. Edmund dug his talons into the holes that were already there from previous nights and wrapped his tail around the wooden beam. He hung himself down and wrapped his wings around himself. With his physique it was hard to lie down, so he roosted like a bat hanging upside down.
Within minutes Edmund fell into a deep and dreamless slumber.

Kane smiled back at her, grabbed the offered hand and eyed the girl. "You look good in baggy glothing. It shows your features in a.. I don't know, mysterious way maybe?"
After exiting the building he asked her to lead the way to the library, as he had no idea where it was.

Melony lead Kane through the street, knowing roughly what direction the library was located. While they walked, she re-instructed Kane in the modern day mannerisms of this city.
"Ok, so do you know what to do if you need to find a taxi?" She asked him randomly.

"Taxi? Well, yeah of course. But I also remember how to hotwire a car, so I'd prefer to find myself one to go where I please." he said, feeling it was the appropriate answer. "But what if we see any crimes being committed? Should we stop it and kill the people committing them, or what?"

And I don't think that hot wiring a car is legal..." Melony shook her head to get out the mental pictures of dead people and torn apart cars.
"Ok, so." She continued her lesson, "Since we are in the city there are people who go around and ask others for money, sometimes they say that they just need 'A buck or two for a cab'" (Said with her best wine-o accent) She shook her head, "That voice was terrible, but do you know what to do with them?"

When they entered the library, the sheer volume of book on shelves stunned them both for a few seconds. Melony shook her head and moved away from the seemingly endless lines of books to the small computer cubby off to the side.

Econ was just leaving when the mailman gave him a letter. He said, "Late post, Mr. Econ, but the person who gave me it said it had to be delivered as soon as possible. He was wearing a hood, so I couldn't see who he was. He also said it was top secret." Econ nodded, and waited until the mailman left, before jumping up to his window, and opening it. He then read the letter.

Edmund woke up as the clocks tolled ten. Edmund slowly opened his wings to let his eyes adjust to the light. For once his sleep had not been interupted by anything. No strange dreams, no sleepwalking.
Edmund dropped down, using his wings like a parachute. As every morning there was a plate with a hunk of bread on the table. And as every morning the bread was put there the night before and it was stale now. He did not mind, he was used to eating stale bread in the morning by now. But he whished something to drink would acompany it, as every morning. The routine had something soothing. His life might be rife with chaos and unexplained occurences, but at least the mornings were something he could count on.
Edmund said his morning prayers as he kneeled down. The he took the bread and bit a large chunk off. As Edmund chewed, his mind was filled with thoughts. 'what to do with the day?' 'what am I becoming?' 'will I get my memory back?'
Then he noticed a closed envelope lying underneath the plate. This was curious as the priests never left messages here. Edmund picked up the envelope and ripped it open with one of his claws. He read the letter that was inside.

Edmund mused on this while he ate the rest of the bread.
Going out into the streets at random and hope for some divine intervention was not much of a plan, but it was the best he could do in the current situation. So he left the cathedral.

- Typical american. Zakusit nada!- he laughed, ate a pickle and pushed the plate towards Inferno.
- Seconds?- Vlad refilled the glasses before Seth or Inferno could respond.- Drink up!
- You know- Said Seth- If you want to kill the boy I could just shot him when you drove in. Why waste good drinks?
- Do I hear sarcasm? No matter. Let's talk business.- Vlad emptied his glass.- The second one always slides down easier. Now then. If we need to take down Oroboros, we need better gear. Two of my men started to open the facility I told you about earlier, however the OMON started to interfere. The plan is quite simple. We fly to Irkutsk, open the facility, salvage the alien technology, fly back, find a brainiac who's able to make something usefull out of it, gather the other heroes and take down Oroboros. Did I missed anything?- Said Vlad.
