Quote: I doubt that the Elrath tree is interactive b/c it isn't being guarded by anything. However, I think it'd be cool if the tree (and other potential objects) had an Area of Effect. One example could be that all 'good' races within a 14 square radius of the tree receive +10% HP, etc. The same could be done for a Masoleum & the Undead.
I think it's a Quest location. You don't interact with it, but you will probably have to defend it from attacking enemy heroes. Like, not letting them reaching it or that sort of quest scenarios.
Could be, but I hope not.

I hope and think it's a campaign object, it takes way too much space to be a normal object.
I mean just look at it, you will need to rotate the camera totally just to anything behind it.

Six dragon heads, one for each of the elemental gods? Perhaps the figure is Sar-Elam, who became the seventh one? Or it simply shows a mage, meditating over some kind of magic

6 heads for H6.
I really, really like the idea that they represent the six elemental dragons and the seventh dragon though! I hope thats the case (even though a powerful champion hydra neutral would have been cooler )

If the number of heads is intentionnal, it means it's linked to the 6 magic elements, so most likely linked to magic.
It can be either a fountain of mana (the one doubling your mana pool) or some kind of temporary boost to magic

well the spell schools in h6 are all associated with the elemental dragons (+ primordial = asha/urgash/sar-elam the hooded guy in the middle) in the game makes perfect sense ^^

The object has similarities with the buddhist/naga statues:
"This Buddha statue depicts the Buddha meditating under the protection of Naga, the snake with seven heads. Naga is a snake-like animal known in Hindu mythology. Its legend suggest that Naga was once an enemy to Buddha who plotted to attack him, but Buddha converted the snake to his ways and Naga assumed a role as his guardian and disciple. An exotic treat, the Naga Buddha statue fuses the Hindu and Buddhist cultures.
Granted, it´s one head to much but it could be a reference of sorts. Possibly (as have already been stated) Sar-Elaam and the elemental dragons.

Good hit!
I also found something that is relate to the elementals:
"Mucalinda, Muchalinda or Mucilinda is the name of a naga (a snake-like being), who protected the Buddha from the elements after his enlightenment.
It is said that four weeks after Sakyamuni Buddha began meditating under the Bodhi tree, the heavens darkened for seven days, and a prodigious rain descended. However, the mighty king of serpents, Mucalinda, came from beneath the earth and protected with his hood the one who is the source of all protection. When the great storm had cleared, the serpent king assumed his human form, bowed before the Buddha, and returned in joy to his palace."

It looks like 'The Ark of the Covenant' but I don't see any sense because it's guarded by goblins.

I think you're right about that. It's some sort of ark, that much is obvious. And it is certainly based after the Ark of the Covenant... Wonder what's going to be its use in the game? A very strong magical item for sure, but what's it gonna do?

I don't think that it's a very strong magical item. If you look the picture more carefully you will see that there are 2 items (down-left corner and on left of the town). The both are guarded by goblins.
