You missed my point. There CAN'T be a map that would meet a set of individual requirements including the one you're after. I don't think there will be any map-maker who would produce a map for 8 human players (at least I've never seen one), who are going to play? So yes, you can create any map you want with an RMG, and your definition about challenge might be different from mine, but imo in the end you'd get none but a casual play.

Now compare to Mike80D's I mentioned above. Challenge was brought upon day one. I tried and I was crushed, then I restarted. Voila! Finally I learnt "this is how you should play Dungeon in this circumstance." This is the kind of map I enjoy that I doubt an RMG can generate.

Hence I see this thread converges to a conclusion as I mentioned that preference on RMG/Editor depends on one's playing style. So if the vote shows Editor weighs more than RMG, it means nothing but I share similar style with most members of the community. What you said before that "the mass" outside HC prefers RMG (or in my words, "casual play") may be true. So be it. I don't have the statistics either to support or otherwise.

So just because you wanna bask in your elitism, I (and all those casual players who don't know where to look for them - or people who have the same requirements as mine) will not be able to play the game just the way I want to. This is what you are saying.

Maaan... when did I ever use that word, "elitism". If I recall correctly you're the one who first coined those terms "elites" and "mass". And I didn't say either that you "will not be able to play the game" the way you'd want to... This is what I said:

"...preference on RMG/Editor depends on one's playing style."

You prefer RMG because you can do this and that, fine, use it (we're still talking about H5). That's just not me.

@Warmonger: Thanks for clarifying!

No, we are NOT talking about H5 here! We are talking about H6.

It's been over 3 years since TotE was released and I can't find a user made map just the way I want it. But a RMG can spit out dozens of them, in minutes.

Now that H6 is not having one, how am I or players like I described, are going to play?

And what pisses me off and why I accuse you (plural: the majority of the community) of elitism is that you're cheering Ubi's decision not to include a RMG in the game. As from what I gather about your opinions, the RMG is for noobs. That's pretty much what's everyone been saying.

And even though the community is only a small percentage of the people who will buy the game, you're giving the impression to Ubi that they are doing the right thing.

Well, it's wrong! The majority of the people do not download maps and that's the hard fact. You can see it too, stats are being kept on every site and tell exactly how many times they've been downloaded and rarely do they exceed 1000. And for most of them, it's always the same and same users.

So it's just you, a small elite that gives a damn about the Editor and nobody else. Leaving the rest of us out by letting Ubisoft go away with not having a RMG for H6, and you will rot with it.

The replayability value will die instantly and people will get bored of the game before even the first expansion will hit the stores. But you're ok, you'll have your editor. Only you will not be so ok, when Ubisoft decides to drop the series for selling poorly.

And don't tell me this is far fetched, because I can tell you that the RMG has been partly responsible for the series' survival to this day.

I don't understand when, where, or how we got off from this point. If you check again my first post after yours, I wasn't quoting your last sentence "Too bad I won't be able to do that in H6" but the one above it when you mentioned H5. I replied with good intention just in case there is a map that suit your preference which I can point you at (at least I pointed out one new map). Then I saw the requirements are somewhat too tall, well in that case use the RMG. That's pretty much where I'm coming from. It's all about H5 on my head.

As to H6, heck, I just wanna get my hands first with the game. Maybe it'll take months (yes, months - see, I'm the noob!) for me to complete the campaigns etc., hopefully after that I can see some good fan-made maps.

That's my whole point. If you want to assume anything, have it your way. I rest my case.

@kodial79
I would personaly prefer not to include teh RMG for some personal reasons. But if it would be to appear, I think that an Editor is more crucial.
Why?
Well, If it would Happen that the RMG would make a good map on its standarts, we would still need an editor to polish it. I personaly do not want to spawm my PC or the Net whit tones of randomly made mapes whit notes like "Good map, just 5 bugs, there, there and there". For a One game only shure why not. But due to the lack of maps in H6 as we odd to expect RMG would not make en eficient substitute without the Editor.
