The new horses
What do you think of the new horses for the heroes of the different factions?
I personally think that they are incredibly good and well-suiting the factions. The powerful horse of the Stronghold, the clean horse of Haven, the bony stud of Necropolis and of course the nightmare of Inferno. They are all pretty nice!

I really like the horses but I would also miss the old mounts for the different factions.

I like the horses, but the orcish one still looks a bit cartoonish; don't shure if i like that or not...
If you had non-horse mounts, they would also have to be slower or faster compared to each other. For example, a dinosaur is faster than a horse, because it's normaly a bit bigger.
Did anyone understand what I tried to say?

They're okay-looking. Nothing special though.
The nightmare one is naturally badass.
Now the "heroes" on the other hand (the characters, not the models)

They're fitting, yes. But I would like to see some diversity about this, such as different mounts for advanced classes (and they probably are doing this, at least I hope so), as in different armor and/or a magic aura/runes/glow/vibe, because the most devilish hell knight advanced class riding the same thing as a level 1 inferno magic hero doesn't look fair.

The designs surely look good.
Nightmares is the only way to go for a demonic mount.
The Necropolis mount looks very much better than the one of H5.
Haven mount also looks better than the one in H5.
If there ever were a horse for a Stronghold then this should be it but I liked better the Ox of H5. But I guess such Oxes don't live in the Pao Islands so they had to go for a horse?
Overall, I'm not at all disappointed.

As long as there are horses, I am good to go! I actually disliked the H5 style of most heroes on the map (inferno, esp. academy) and glad they altered it. I just hope that if Academy is back later, I see a different style for Academy than in H5

well, since Nighty idea about buyable mount is unlikely implemented so it is safe to say that the horses are only eye candy and somehow I have a feeling that they are trying to capture the "nostalgic" old Heroes feel specifically Heroes "appearance" by making them all Horses for the mount.
Not only that:
1. The lore telling story of 5 siblings are pretty much how Heroes 2 with Archibald and Roland as siblings
2. How they might bring back the old Heroes from old universe (mentioned on today's Q&A vid)
3. Of course this thread's topic: all-horses mount
well, just my feeling.

I really like them; some of the Heroes V mounts were kind of silly because they were so formidable they should have been units themselves (here's looking at you, mammoths) .
Maybe it's just my crusty old HIII side speaking, but I really like the fact that everyone's back on horses again. Given all the radical changes they're making to the gameplay, it's comforting to see them harking back to the older games aesthetically. Shows that they haven't forgotten where the series came from even as they make radical changes to the established formula.

I had this question ever since I heard about four years ago that nagas exist in Ashan:
How the **** is a serpent like humanoid with no legs and a snake like tail is going to ride a horse ( or whatever)?

About that, I've been thinking that given the size of the Naga, they don't need to be riding anything.
Pretty much like the Demon Lord of H5, he was big enough to be on foot and not feel underwhelming next to other faction's heroes riding mounts.
However, the fact that their leader would still be one of the human siblings for his or her sake, they will have to come with a horse. Maybe just for her and the rest of them are Naga.

It's probably going to be the other way around. We'll likely have one special campaign hero that is a naga, and then the sibling hero on a horse, and then the "standard" heroes will all be humans riding on horses just like the rest of the factions. The video suggested, if not stating outright, that all heroes would be riding horses, with only a few exceptions.
What I want to know is this: the Collector's Edition description makes mention of an "epic mount". Does that imply that all heroes have the capability to find an alternate mode of transportation, or does it simply mean that you'll be able to tick a check-box in the Options menu to have a specialty mount for all heroes in the game?

I usually love your ideas, but I think Necropolis have already enough giant spiders and don't think a wolf or sabretooth could stand the Orc's weight

I think they are fine. Better than H5 somehow...yet a bit uncreative...all horses...yet they may fit...so, as I said: not great, but fine...
