1. Since I liked the idea, I'm going to steal it from DA. One can raise his/her social status through hard work by discovering something important, inventing something new, contributing a lot to the general knowledge of Keep, etc. Basically if that person has a deep impact on the culture, that person will be honored regardless of his/her background or wealth.
