I will wait and see what the expansion will offer (maybe some good factions).

Quote: Hmm, I'm having second thoughts about playing the beta... was just thinking about how playing the very earliest playable builds of Heroes V sort of tainted my overall enjoyment of the final product.
Then again, that was pretty messy. There were several patches just for the beta to be more playable, it was in pitifully poor condition... that isn't even taking into account the drastic patches that were done to the final game.
At least this time the cool-looking ents won't be replaced by wooden mantises.

Quote: Personally I prefer the content to be tangible, open the box, turn the artwork pages.. It's no fun if the artwork isn't on paper.
But then I'm the kind of guy that would rather wait and go pick up the game on the nearest store the day it was available, don't like preordering
Same hear, love the Collector Edition content in general expecially the art books, so right to the point I already pre-orderd the game on GameShop.ro, in January at 47 Euros approximately and on the site said that even if the price changes I will pay the same price as the on at my order unless the price goes down that I pay the new price, also they contacted me by phone and said they will let me know when is available for shipping, which is like 24 Hours.
P.S. Somebody asked on there web site if by pre-ordering from them will receive a beta key they said that Ubisoft hasn't given them any information in that regard so far, but will let us know.
So there's still some hope.

So, yeah. No official physical collectors editions for certain regions. Including the Netherlands, it appears. Shame realy. And curse me for it, but that's not gonna stop me from buying the digital deluxe edition.
Thank you and good night.

I gotta say, I'm surprised at the limited availability Ubisoft is presenting. Sweden (my country) can purchase the physical collectors edition, but a much more populated one like the Netherlands cannot? Logic is where?

They said it was based on demand. We should guess that a minor proportion of the Netherlands know and like Heroes series. I think its based on % of population interested rather than number of ppl per country. I am sad for people with no Collector's. I'm in Canada and we don't have it either... As I said a few posts above, I preordered deluxe on Steam.

A few quick questions:
-If I pre-order it do I get the actual game faster than if I wait for it to be released?
-Is there a reason that they're not releasing the game on CD in the US? I know Europe is a major purchaser of the homm series, but I figured the US would be high too.
Thank you.

Is there a list with the countries that can get the physical edition of CE?

Quote: If I pre-order it do I get the actual game faster than if I wait for it to be released?
No, but you do get acces to the open Beta-test. SO you get at least a partial version of the game, before release.
Also, if you preorder a digital version, I assume you can start the download at 0:00 hours on the release-day or whatever time of release they specify.

Supply and Demand, I assume. I assume they took the figures of the sales of the previous games and base themselves on that. Still you can order a physical copy of the normal game via other retailers than Ubi themselves.

Not to my knowledge. But there's an easy way to check. If it doesn't show up in your countries Ubishop-website, you don't get one. You'll have to order the digital deluxe version.
I don't like it much either, but them's the facts as far as we know.

No list unless you try checking each country's ubi-shop separately.
I'm already looking for some workaround means to pre-order physical collector's from Croatia.
Some gameshops have enough international connections that they can pull it of. It might work in other countries so ask around in gameshops (preferably ones specializing in games, general media shops couldn't care less about your specific heroes inquiry).
