Might and Magic: Heroes VI
Branches of the Mother Tree

Introduction

The Elves were first created by Sylvanna, the Elemental Dragon of the Earth. They were one of the first races created, and have as such fought demons during all of the Blood Moon eclipses.
Though the Elves once lived out in the open, they have since long isolated themselves within the thick pine forests of Irollan. Within Irollan, the Mother Tree Brythigga strengthens the Elves and protects them. It is believed that Sylvanna herself sleeps beneath the roots of Brythigga. A few things are clear about Brythigga though, she is sentient and she is literally the pulsing heart of the forest.

The Elves are ruled by a High King and once, a position that was once choosen by a dedicated Council. The members of the council were each leaders of a region within Irollan.
However, it was soon decided that running elections for the position of a High King caused political instability and broke the harmony within the usually so silent and serene Elven society, so the system was abolished and the High King would sit on his throne permantly.

The first permanent High King was Arniel. Under his rule, the Council was removed aswell as the regions of Irollan. The Druid's and Dragon Knights had foreseen the return of Demons, and Arniel wanted Irollan to be completly united if there should be a war.
This caused the former regions to lose most of their independancy and not all former Council members were happy with this.

One of these was lady Tuidhana, Queen of her realm of Malea.
After some minor conflict, Malea got its independance along with her queen Tuidhana.
But Malea sat ontop of deep caverns, which was known to contain enormous quanties of crystal, gems and gold and the Knights of the Holy Falcon Empire knew this very well.
They knew that Malea was no longer protected by the rest of Irollan and so they attacked. The results were devastating. Tuidhanas forces simply could not defend Maldea and she pleaded for help from High King Arniel.
First King Arniel simply responded that she had choosen to stand alone, and that she would. Only when the capital city of Maldea was getting besieged, did Arniel send his forces to push out the armies of the Empire.

Though Maldea was saved from human occupation, she now stood in ruins. Tuidhana prayed to Sylvanna to let Maldea heal, but Sylvanna did not answer her pleas. Instead, another darker, forgotten but still familiar set of voices responded.
They whispered into Tuidhanas mind and said that they were the Faceless, the primary servants of Malssa - the Elemental Dragon of Darkness. The Faceless whispered that if Tuidhana and her people would turn to Malassa, Maldea would grow strong enough to become a force to be reckoned with on Ashan.
As Sylvanna had not answered her prayers, Tuidhana accepted the offer and soon her people turned to worship Malassa and embrace the dark night. She even renamed them into Dark elves and for this, she and her people were to be completly banished from Irollan. Permanently.

Recently, during the Second Blood Moon eclipse, Ashan was threatened by Demons once again. Tuidhana asked the Faceless for aid, but they have just whispered back that the right time has not set yet.
And now after the eclipse, there are rumors saying that Tuidhana has created yet another pact. An even darker one.
An alliance with Demons. The rumors say that the demons are planning on constructing a Hellgate within Maldea, a gateway which will allow the demons to stay outside of Sheogh and summon more minions from that infernal realm even after the eclipse has ended.

This has made High King Arniel send Lord Tieru and the fabled Order of the Dragon Knights  to investigate.
Should the rumors be true, then the only way to maintain a lasting peace on Ashan may be to exterminate the Dark elves once and for all.

Symbiosis - Sylvan racial skill.
Though Sylvan creatures have high iniative, speed and attack, they often lack health, defense and overall survivability.
To survive, Sylvan creatures rely on the Symbiosises.
Within Irollan, all creatures share a mental connection to each other and through this link, they can share energies between them.
These energies unfold into different, unique special powers.

Like all other racial skills, Symbiosis uses a power-up wheel. The wheel charges up when Sylvan creatures move and deal damage. To make use of the Symbioses, the Sylvans will have to play offensively and try not to stay stationary. Each Sylvan creature can only use its own unique Symbiosis once, after their power bar has charged up.

I have not included the levels of the Symbiosis racial skill, because I do not know how the racial skill levels (Basic, Advanced etc) while work in the game. Asume however, that the higher level, the more effective the Symbiosises are. I will update this when we get more information.

Core

Pixie Symbiosis: When charged up, cleanses an allied creature of X number of debuffs and buffs the Pixie with an Y level spell.

Shifter Symbiosis: When charged up, increases all damage dealt by X for the targeted ally and the caster for Y turns.

Hunter Symbiosis: When charged up, gives an ally mobile stealth for X turns and makes the Hunter invisible and untargetable by attacks for the current turn.

Sylvan Strategy: "Our greatest tools are all around us, utilize the forces of nature well and victory is inevitible."

Sylvan commanders should pay close attention to the battlefield and the nature of her enemies. The Symbiosises are very powerful, but can only be used one so use them at the right time.
A well placed Symbiosis can quickly change the tide of the battle. Use support abilities to fend off and crowd control attackers, while your shooters deal the main damage from afar. And when the time is right, call in your melee troops and return your enemies to the earth.

Strengths: Best support abilities in the game, Strong ranged offense, Strong attack ratings, High speed and iniative.
Weaknesses: Low defense and survivability, weak in melee combat, vulnerable to spell damage, little protection against enemy debuffs.
General stats: High Offense, Speed and Iniative but low Defense and Health.

Sylvan Crowd Control Penalty
A passive rule effecting all Sylvan creatures because in some situations, it would make Sylvan a bit OP otherwise with all the Symbiosis mass effects.

"For every two crowd control effects that are activated, their durations are reduced by one turn. Crowd control includes abilities such as Entangle and Blind."
So if three targets are Blinded and three entangled and they normally last 3 turns each, they will now last one turn.

Sylvan Creature Line-Up
Core
Pixie -> Sprite.
Shifter -> Beastsoul.
Hunter -> Predator.

Elite
Treant -> Guardian Treant.
Unicorn -> Unicorn Stag.
Nymph -> Dryad.

Champion
Mantis -> Mantis Queen

Comments: Pixies are good fighters both in early, mid and late game if you can keep them alive. The Fungal Cluster should always be used and it is very nice for creeping early on. Both early and later in the game, it is nice to be able to reduce the Defense of that high-armored creature significantly.
The Pixie symbiosis is useful for getting rid of that annoying Damage over Time debuff early on that might be killing off your Hunters, or removing the mind control on your Elite later on to avoid some serious losses. The Pixies speed and No Enemy Retailation, make them ideal for Hit and Run-like attacks.

Comments: Shifters are a cool new creature that can half-shapeshift into animals becoming some kind of werebears and werewolves. It is a good idea to start using them in the caster form and buff up your Hunters for instance and then either go for a defensive approach with the Bears or an offensive approach with the Wolves. Make sure you make full use out of Agility when in the animal forms, it really does make a big difference and Sylvans only heal comes from an Elite creature Symbiosis.
The Wolf form is counted as a flyer, so use it if there are some annoying shooters that you want to block.
The Symbiosis should probably also be used on your Hunters in early game, to maximize their efficency as they deal the most damage. Do not forget that in Bear form, you can actually push enemies into Fire traps and the Pixie's Fungal cluster to trigger it!

Comments: The Hunter is your primary damage dealer untill you get access to your Champion, so protect them well. The mobile shooter ability can be used to hide behind Treants when you get access to your Elite creatures but it is also useful early on, as it means  that you will almost never have to melee a creature.
Multi-Shot can be used to deal some serious damage to a line of Core stacks, so always try to get as many hits as you can.
Finally, the Hunter symbiosis is one of the most interesting. Early on, it is a good idea to use it on your Pixies if shooters are present as enemies. The invisible Pixies will fly up and block the shooter and the Hunter will be untargetable for that time. The Shifters bear form should be able to soak up the damage received, especially with his Agility special when he moves.

Core Trio Comments: Shifters, Pixies and Hunters make a great team. Use the Shifters as tanks, Pixies as support and Hunters as your primary damage dealer and do not forger to use your symbiosises, and you should be able to conquer all enemies of an equal level. Need more damage? Use the Shifter symbiosis. Need to get up to a shooter or avoid some heavy damage? Use the Hunter symbiosis. Need to get rid of that annoying debuff? Use the Pixie symbiosis.
There is almost a counter to everything with Symbiosises.
Remember however, that normally you only manage to recharge one Symbiosis at a time so you will have to decide which Symbiosis that will work best for you. Later in the game, timing your Symbiosises become crucial in order to be victorious.

Elite Creatures

Comments: The Treant is an unique creature in the Sylvan army. Excluding the Beastsoul's Bear form, it is the only pure Sylvan creature with a very large Health pool and Defense rating. Thos 4-legged spruce-Treant has a lot of new tricks.
The Treant symbiosis reduces damage taken on an ally, so cast it on a creature that you know will get hit hard. In turn, the Treant becomes immune to magic for the next turn.
The main BIG thing about Treants is their "Gargantaun" passive. Treants block line of sight, meaning that if your Hunters stand behind it, enemy shooters and casters will not be able to hit them untill they stand in a special position.
Place creatures behind the Treant that you want to protect from enemy ranged fire. This ability makes an excellent combo with the Hunters. The Hunters shoot and then hide behind the Treants, to avoid getting shoot down.
You can also place your Treants on the front line, protecting your Unicorns or Beastsouls from full-ranged enemy fire. Well, there are A LOT of different uses for this.
Treants retain the classic Entangle which is excellent to keep enemies from hurting your most fragile creatures.
Treants also have the option to either go into a Defensive or Offensive mode. During the Defensive mode, the Treant becomes immobile but gets a ranged attack which covers half the battlefield. Entangle does not work on the ranged attack though. With Rooted Treants, Sylvan gains access to 3 shooters, the Dryad and Hunter being the other two. The offensie mode is Rage of the Forest. With this, the Treant becomes a killing machine who can entangle frontline enemies without problem.
To summarizee, the Treant is one of the most versatile creatures in the game.

Comments: This edition of Unicorns is a bit more original and they now have a more moose or staglike appearance.
Unicorns are the anti-casters of Sylvan but it is also a crowd control creature. Blind is now named Flash of Light and is an active ability and not something random. The Unicorn symbiosis allows it to use Flash of Light once again and gives an ally the power to blind the enemies he hits in his next attack, something which works with area of effect attacks! So you can have your Hunters Blind three enemies with your Multi-Shot! To avoid Sylvan crowd control being overpowered, a "CC penalty" has been implented.
The Unicorn is also a caster this time, but it has no spells. When an enemy caster or hero casts a spells, the Unicorn receives some Mana and gets the power to cast that spell. It can also be activated to redirect the next spell, so if you know that there is a powerful enemy spell caster that could devastate your army - redirect it back to his troops!

Comments: This might be my favorite Sylvan creature! Though its symbiosis may not be so interesting (restores mana and health), it can still be useful to refuel the Dryad, a hero or maybe heal the Sylvan Champion a bit.
Drưads are unique creatures and they probably have the coolest ranged attack in the game. They stretch out great vines from their shoulders which they use to whip their enemies. Because the vines are a part of their body, they don't have a need for ammo.
But the most exciting use for the vines is to literally grab friends and enemies and toss them around the battlefield! Dryads can move small enemies and friends across walls and enemy lines, or toss them down into traps and obstacles. Nature's Grasp offers a lot of possibilities and wouldn't it just be hilarious to drop down an enemy creature to a Fire trap or the Fungal cluster of a Pixie?

Elite Trio Comments: Treants, Dryads and Unicorn do not only make great friends with each other, but also with the core creatures. Dryads can move Beastsouls across enemy lines and walls, or toss enemies into traps. Hunters hide behind Treants, who can also become mini-shooters or frontline berserkers. Unicorns keep your Sylvan friends from harm by neutralising the most powerful enemy creatures with their Blind.
With that, the Elite creatures also have two spellcasters. The Dryad can cast spells when not focused on lashing enemies or bouncing them around and Unicorns are really quick learners of spells. The symbiosises works great with other creatures. Save the Treees... save the Treants with a Dryad symbiosis and then let the Treants protect the Unicorns with their Symbiosis who lets the Hunters Blind three enemeis at once. Not to mention that the Symbioses work in great synergy with the Sylvan champion.

Champion

Mantis & Champion Comments: Mantises are true Sylvan creatures, fit for champions. They are fast and deal lethal damage, but are more easily killed than other champions if not used without care.
Insectoid makes them unable to devastate an army during a single turn because of high morale, but there is also no bad morale that can slow them down. The Symbiosis works great with Treants. Rage of the Forest + Mantis Symbiosis = you charge up and entangle three enemies on the frontline. No escape. Sybiosises can also be combined so you can have Unicorn + Mantis symbiosis on the Treants, and three enemies will get Blinded though so many crowd control effects will likely activate the Sylvan Crowd control penalty.

It is fortunate for the enemies that Primeval strike is an activated ability, because otherwise the Mantis would retaliate with an area of effect attack everytime it was attacked! Suffering no Enemy Retailation gives them some defense, though Mantises really a lot on other effects and killing enemies before they kill them.
Shooters being protected by a small enemy stack is not a problem either, since Mantises can without problems attack from a very short distance.
Finally Praying dance can be combined with the Hunter symbiosis, causing the Mantis to go invisible while it waits for its next kill.

Special Buildings
Like all other factions in Heroes 6, two out of four unique special buildings can be built within the Sylvan town. These will appear on the adventure map town model.

Circle of Summoning: The Circle of Summoning allows you to recruit Elementals from its own, shared Elite creature pool.
Comments: Military building. The Elite Elementals can be nice reinforcements early on, when you have slots open for them. They also make excellent town defenders!

Hand of Nature: Once a week, the Hand of Nature can be activated to entangle an enemy hero located within areas controlled by the caster's forts and towns. The enemy hero is immobilized for one turn.
Comments: Magical building. The Hand of Nature can be reallu strategic and there are a lot of scenarios were it will be handy (no pun intended). When activated, it basically sends up a wooden claw to grab an enemy hero which delays them for one turn. Here are some situations where it can be used:
* You are chasing an enemy hero, or escaping one! Entangle them!
* An enemy hero just needs one turn to capture your undefended town and your own hero is juuuust one turn away from reinforcing it. Entangle him!
* An enemy hero is about to capture a Fort, which will grant him control over all the mines in the area. Delay him and make some economical warfare by ENTANGLING HIM or her!

Lady of the Forest: When under siege, a Daugther of Gaia is summoned to protect the town.
((Gaia is a Sylvan boss, the Daugthers of Gaia are a minor version of her. More information about neutral creatures and bosses will come in the future.))
Comments: Defensive building. With this building, it will be impossible for those annoying enemy heroes with One Goblin or One Skeleton to capture your towns. Plus, she isn't exactly a pushover and scales with the town's level.

Mystic Pond: At the start of each week, a very small number of Dragon Blood Crystals are generated for the player.
Comments: Economical building. Dragon Blood Crystals are rare, and by building this on early on, you will have plenty off them which may prove to be very useful later on.

Campaign
The campaign is H3-style, so its non-linear and has four levels. The final mission can be completed by all factions.

Prologue: THE PACT
The eclipse is ending and the Demons will soon be forced out of Ashan. In order to stay on Ashan, they need to build a structure. A Hellgate. Hellgates are used to bind Demons to the surface of Ashan instead of Sheogh. It can also be used to transport an infinite number of Demons from Sheogh to Ashan. In order to construct - or destroy - a Hellgate, ancient relics related to the Dragon gods are needed. Tuidhana has few forces and gets a choice. Allow the Demons to construct the Hellgate and get a powerful ally or be crushed. Tuidhana accepts it as she will do anything to make her people stronger and survive.                                                             At the same time, Haven troops attack the weak Maldea. The mission is about clearing Haven and rebellious Sylvan troops in order to clear the way for the Demon forces.

Act One

1. Sylvan - Forces of Nature: Tieru is a Dragon knight in training and to prove that he is worthy of such a title, he has got the job to investigate what's up to Tuidhana. Tuidhana has isolated her land and completly closed the borders. It is soon found out that she has made a pact with demons and Tieru has to gather Sylvan elites with his Core creatures and defeat Core enemy Demon and Elven spies aswell as destroy their forts.

2. Inferno - Mines of Maldea:Maldea sits over a system of large underground tunnels and caverns. There are many minerals and other resources to be found there. It is rumored to contain a deposit of Dragon blood crystals, which will be needed for the Hellgate. Leader of the operation is the hellsworn Lady Aggylda, during the abscense of the the Sovereign's right hand Biara. The mission is a race against time to gather a number of Dragon blood crystals before the enemy (Haven) does it.

3. Sanctuary - Shalassa's Eye:The Dragon knights have found out that a Hellgate is being constructed in Maldea. With the help of the Wood elf druidess Abria, Naga dragon knight Zsraku sets out on a quest to find the relics of the Dragon gods needed for the Gate's construction or destruction before the Demons find them. The first stop are the islands between Hashima and Pao, where Orcs and Naga battle over Shalassa's Eye. The player will have the choice to ally either with the Naga or the Orcs in order to get the Eye but those who want a better challenge can fight both.

Act Two

1. Not So Welcome: Tieru has gathered a sizeable force and together with High King Vaniel himself who has the main force. Tuidhana has been confirmed to work with the Demons and Vaniel leads the main assault. Tieru must destroy the minor Hell Portals before Vaniel is overwhelmed by Demons. Core and Elite creatures are used.

2. Inferno - Assuming Direct Control:The time has come to completly seize Maldea from the Elves. Aggylda must capture Queen Tuidhana and escort her to her underground prison before she can reach High King Vaniel. All of Maldeas cities must also be captured and converted into Infernos.

3. Sanctuary - Blackened Scale of Elrath: The Scale of Elrath is kept in an old underground vault in the necropolis-littered land of Heresh where the Wizards of the Seven Cities place their dead and lock in failed creations. The Empire fights cults of Necromancers for it and Zsraku needs to get the relic before the conflict destroys it.

Act Three

1. Sylvan - Hell on Ashan: The Demons are now occupying all of Maldea! The land is quickly getting turned into a volcanic wasteland, filled with fanatical zealots and trolls. But Vaniel has successfully been able to penetrate the outer barriers that protect the Hellgate. But at the same time, deserters from Tuidhana tell that their Queen has been betrayed and is locked in an underground vault. Even worse, the deserters say that the Hellgate's function is to instantly teleport hordes of Demons into the elven capital Shataqa and incinerate the Mother Tree Brythigga! Tieru has to make a choice which will affect the final mission. Push on into the Hellgate and engage in direct glorious combat with the Demon lords or go underground and go for Tuidhana to seek answers?

2. Inferno - Slaugtherfest:High King Vaniel is quickly pushing in closer to the Hellgate in the western parts of Maldea and Tuidhanas old allies, the Orcs, have just arrived in the east! The Orcs are pushing in quickly to the east. At the same time, special elven forces are rumored to be sabotaging the engines powering the nearly completed Hellgate in the underground. Lady Aggylda must choose if she is going to focus on taking down the Orcs or the Elves will stopping the elven special forces underground as quickly as possible. Sovereign's plan can not be allowed to fail now!

3. Sanctuary - Breath of Arkath: The snowy mountains of Grimheim were once populated by Dwarves, but no more as the Dwarves prefer to dwell underground during times of war. Arkath's Breath is the last relic and it is kept in a sealed dwarven vault in the north. But Naga Dragon knight Zsraku and druidess Abria are not alone, for a Demon lord has caught up! Zsraku must decide if he wants to race for the artifact or destroy the Demon forces in direct combat. Despite the choice, the ending of the mission reveals Abria to be the Succubus queen Biara, right hand of the Sovereign! Biara steals all the relics and teleports to the Helllgate to finish it. Zsraku hears her plan of burning Brythigga and quickly returns to the Dragon knights.

Act Four - The Finale.
The player will get a choice to complete the final mission with Sylvan, Inferno or Sanctuary. Their missions change depending on their choices in the third missions. So there are actually six different versions of the final mission.

1. Sylvan - First Choice: The Hellgate is complete and charged. Vaniel is about to make the final push and destroy it before it can spew out more demons. But suddenly it is reported that the Dark elves have revealed the secret location of the Mother Tree Brythigga and they are attacking it! The Mother Tree must survive, or the forest itself will die!
If you choosed to attack the main Demon forces with Vaniel in the third mission then you will control him (Ranger) and your objective will be to seal all entrances to the underworld, destroy the portals they come from and destroy all Dark elven bases before Brythigga is destroyed!

1. Sylvan - Second Choice: If you choosed Tieru in the third mission, then you will play as him and need to venture all over the map and find the Tear of Asha which will awaken Brythigga herself and her daughters. The elves won't be able to defend themselves on their own.

2. Inferno - First Choice:The existence of Demons can not be revealed! The dark elves must be blamed for the death of Brythigga. The greatest elder race of the Elemental dragons will soon perish. Aggylda must - without getting seen by any enemy Sylvan forces - destroy the groves where Brythigga will summon her powerful daugthers. If Aggylda went for Vaniel in the third mission, that is.

2. Inferno - Second Choice: If Aggylda wen't for the underground war against Tieru in the third mission, then she will finish it. The mission will be set in the underground. You must hunt Tieru down and successfully send in a Doom Bringer to the sacred Roots of Brythigga in the central cavern. It is defended by both elven and naga dragon knights, elite forces.

3. Sanctuary - First Choice: Zsraku went for the artifact, but that mission ended with Biara grabbing it and with it she completed the Hellgate. Now Zsraku must venture to the underground with the other Dragon knights and kill any Demon lord before they reach the roots of Brythigga and destroy her.

3. Sanctuary - Second Choice: Zsraku went for the Demon bases. He destroyed them and Biara's secret forces but Biara succeeeded in grabbing the last Dragon relic for the Hellgate. Now he will find Biara and hunt her down. Destroy the Infernos and mass up a powerful army enough to send Biara straight back to hell.

Ending Cinematic: In the forests above, elves fight elves. Tuidhana leads the attack. Gigantic guardians and daugthers of nature fight and Brythigga herself has come to life, though she is immobile. Below, the Demons storm into the Roots of Brythigga and from a portal, Aggylda channels the power of the Sovereign to scorch the roots. On the surface, Brythigga screams so all birds and insects in the forest flee it. She is consumed by flames that come from below and in a great explosion, a wall of fire incinerates Irollan. Brythigga has been turne into a dead tree of asha and the only surviving parts of the forest wither away with her passing.
Tieru falls down to the earth, tears falling down the scorched earth. The dark elves are hunted down. The scene then shifts briefly, into a demonic prison. Tuidhana is sitting inside a cell, crying as she felt to Brythiggas death and knows of the consequences the Demons successful plot will bring to her people. But a small black dragon baby flies into her cell and she smiles.  In the very last and short scene, Tuidhana stands in a scorched grow smiling. Her eyes suddenly flare red. They burn. While she walks away, wings et cetera pops out of her and she turns into the succubus Biara who in the last shot, smiles and kisses the camera before walking away in a trail of
destruction.

I really like your ideas especially the Symbiosis as racial skill as it fits very well to their belives and behavior but also of the strategic use.

One think I don't quite like is the Shifter as it reminds me to much of the Warcraft druid units that the night elves has but then again why should Warcraft have all the rights for good ideas for units. Other than that - you have made a good job I think.

Sylvan are my favorite faction, and i like how they look in H5. I mean they are protectors of the wood, and no doubts fight for good, and look good. Xerox edition is more about WC3 dark elves, i like more H5 light elves. In H6 are enough for now evil looking factions. Enough dark, give me something light and good for my soul, give me something i will wish to protect vs all this evil around - sharks, snakes, brrr For example - Unicorn, child of light, sacred for elves ...

This is a very good job...

Like the idea and the background. Maybe the Tieru thing is to much but why not.

The thing Which has been already said is that the Shifter sounds to much WC-like. and the pictures don't help it eather.
I would rather see som beast/insect/plant in its place

Also the hunter could use a non WC image.. But it is not easy to finde an unique art stye these days

Thanks everybody for the feedback.

Astromidas: The Shifter creature was created because I wanted another Elven creature, but I did not want the old Blade dancers and Druids. I also wanted it to be a male, since the Hunter is supposed to be a female.
I think the main thing that relates to Warcraft is its bear form (though its more of a "werebear"-form) and that I could not find a better artwork for it so I had to grab one from Warcraft and recolour it a little bit. xD

Infinitus: I do not agree with that they are "evil" or similar to night elves in Warcraft other than the Shifter thing I guess.
Sylvan is supposed to be a good faction, but at this time (storywise) the h5 Dungeon has not been created yet and the dark elves are represented in the Sylvan town plus they look the same anyway, they just have a different name (I figured out the dark elves skin would turn into pale white when they had moved down to ygg-chall, which they have not done yet in my idea).
The true dark elven creatures will appear as neutrals though and two of the heroes are from H5 Dungeon.

But Sylvan is certainly supposed to be a bit more "ferocious" and feral than in H5 and I think you will see this with some of the Elite creatures and the Champion one, which I will put up tonight or tomorrow.

Elvin: Can you explain how Symbiosis is misleading?
Basically it is like this: All creatures have an energy bar which fills up when they move and attack. When the bar is full, one Sylvan creature can use its own unique Symbiosis ONCE a battle to buff an ally and itself or cast some support spell on them.
I will work on it more when I can get an idea how the actual racial skills in H6 looks like.

Dave_Jame: I will try to atleast find a replacement for the artwork for the Shifter as I like the creature (but its very hard to find good images that fit your vision).
The hunter image does not strike me as Warcrafty. But yes, it is a recoloured Sylvanas.

Oh, and Tieru. He is one of the main characters in the story. I pretty much retconned the old story a bit so Tieru is already a Dragon knight by this time and will have to investigate the construction of a Hellgate in the campaign. The Sanctuary part of it deals with a Naga dragon knight, as they attempt to find a way to destroy the Hellgate (which allows Demons to pour into Ashan after the eclipses have ended).

I like the tree-hugging tribal approach instead of the usual high-society pansy theme.

Yeah, there will be no Findans in this town.

* Added Sylvan's special buildings + two pictures related to them.
* Added comments to the special buildings (some possible uses with the Hand of Nature etc).

Does Mystic Pond require dragon blood crystals to make it?

Well, to be honest we do not really know who valuble Dragon Blood Crystals will be in the actual game but I would imagine that no, it does not cost Dragon Blood Crystals to build. It only generates some at the start of each week.

Remember, in all H6 towns you will only be able to build 2 out of 4 special buildings and the Mystic Pond should be a viable option.

I wanted all the special buildings to have different roles (so I did not want two economic buildings etc).

Symbiosis refers to biological interactions while here it's more like a teamwork. I understand the principle but the symbiosis term isn't quite fitting, for instance in H5 the dryad/treant symbiosis made more sense.

Well, in H5 the Dryads buffed the Treants and vice versa and its the same thing here. X creature buffs Y creature, and gets a buff back aswell.

I know its not exactly as it is IRL, but I thought Symbiosis was a good name for a racial which concept is that "all creatures must rely on each other in order to achieve victory".

Plus I think it sounds very "sylvanish".

If I find a name which I think sounds better, I will change it but at the moment, I am personally happy with Symbiosis.

So maybe it's the fact that it isn't growth aka healing oriented that is bothering?

Just a minor complaint since it is not organic as the term indicates. As a theme it is an excellent choice for sylvan.

Great ideas! Can't wait to see the elite and champion creatures (I just hope, there will be no copy-paste proposals )... and what about the special catapult? A treat throwing stones? Or something more original?

There's gonna be an update later today.
With the Sylvan elite creatures ofc.
I did not take any ideas from other proposals than a few, few of my own older ideas.

I forgot about the racial catapult. Well, i'm sure that I will be able to come up with something creative. ^^

edit: THE SYLVAN ELITE CREATURES ARE UP
