If that lineup ends in Sylvan I won't play the game.

I like you previous line-up better, think it has more of a sylvan feeling. Like Stevie said earlier:
Stevie said: I feel Sylvan should be more Sage-like than what I've seen so far in Heroes. Pixies and unicorns are more fairy-like. A more druidic mood would be much more on my taste. Spirit creatures (not necessarily immaterial) would fit the faction better imo.
That said, I agree with you that heaven should lose the griffins. Maybe they could be implemented as neutrals (feral/wild griffins)?
I really like fairy dragons, so I definitely won't mind seeing them return, but if we are going to do pokemon I like Xerneas or Sawsbuck better
And here is a nice artist impression of Xerneas:

To be fair here, that was an artistic impression of said pokemon, which I used for the upgrade. I've since found an illustration that fits my ideas better. On top of that, the basic creature was never connected to pokemon.
So the basic Terratoise would be this:

Wow, that upgrade looks awesome!
Still it doesn't feel very Sylvan to me, but I would love to see it as a neutral or perhaps with a swamp-based naga (sub)faction.

Even with this description?
War-overlord said: Terratoise - Overgrown Terratoise
(Terratoise) Terratoises are an enigma to scholars, as they are not quite animals, nor quite plant and not quite elementals either. They appear to be an eclectic mixture of all three. Terratoises are ancient and wise beings, though only Druids are actually able to communicate with them. Terratoises lie dormant in the soil for centuries on end, indistinguishable from ground and foliage untill they are called upon by the Druids. In fact they are so much grown into their environment, that there is no idea how many Terratoises there are. Having an innate controll over the growth of plants, Terratoises attack by filling the air with pollen and seeds, which bloom and grow at their whim.
(Overgrown Terratoise) Overgrown Terratoises are the oldest of their kind, having been part of Ashan since it's birth. They have covered themselves in plant, living with them in symbiosis. Not only masters of seeds and pollen, Overgrown ones can command the growth of trees, roots and vines of every kind imaginable. Unspecified and overgrown shapes against terrain are often the sad remains of camps and settlements that have invoked the wrath of an Overgrown Terratoise.
Sprouting (Basic+Upgrade) Marquis Salvador of the Bull to his second in command, recalling his skirmish with the Elves: "Have you ever seen a man sprouted? No? Then you don't know...there's nothing more horrible than the bite of the Terratoise. Its deadly stinger spreads a green disease through every pore of your body...leaving you veined with roots and flocked with grass...steadily growing thicker and thicker until you crash and bloom out...in a horrifying bouquet of pain and fragrant suffering...screaming until your mouth fills with petals and your nostrils shoot out thorny stems...and the bulbs sprout in your eyes...leaving you nothing but a patch of wildflowers on the ground, swarming with butterflies." [Targets attacked by this unit are rooted in place until another target is attacked by this unit.]
Overgrowth (Upgrade) Marquis Salvador of the Bull to his second in command, recalling his skirmish with the Elves: "We thought we were safe...inside the walls of the fort. The Elves brought no catapult...so they could do little more than frantically bash our gates...or so we thought. Untill the vines, roots and branches grew over our walls...carpeting it...the Elves came over the walls seconds later...like they were climbing nothing but ladders...before the Treants we thought we killed came to life again." [Actived ability: A selected section of wall and moat becomes passable, for double movement-cost. Or heals Treants upon use.]

I would LOVE to see something like that in sylvan. But in a massive scale, having trees, vegetation and crystal on its back and shake the earth with every step it takes Would fit the sylvan earth theme perfectly even if we have gotten used to swift flyer champions in the past. But while I enjoyed the crazy mobility of the H5 lineup, I also liked the H3 rampart that was more mixed when it comes to speed and movement. A balance between slow and sturdy creatures and graceful mobile ones could work just fine.

I'm glad you like it. I still view the Terratoise as one of my best creations.
However, and as much as I would love to see my own creation in the game some day, the way things are looking, the Champion spot seems to be given to the Treant. Something which I expected when I created it several years ago, so I scaled it down to and described it as an elite.

With this description yes, definitely. However I don't think the art you provided fits your concept. It looks too reptilian, too thin and not overgrown enough. The first picture fits it much better.
Edit: not the pokemon btw

Leave the swiftness part for Elven Archers and Blade dancers. Druids, Treants and such should be slow and focused on endurance and synergy. THAT's what Sylvan's all about. Few cores fragile and fast, elites and champs creatures slow and heavy.
That said I also like the idea of that turtle and the upgrade. I had problems imagining it at first, but that artwork convinced me now. I would have that as a very rare and hard to produce creature, ranking above champion. Maybe unlocking the dwelling with a Tear of Asha or other prerequisites, or have some external dwellings flaggable with secondary quests/objectives or such.
Daydreaming...

The Terratoise actually sounds similar to the Tarasque of French myth, except for the controlling vegetation part.

Admitedly, the adjective Overgrown, admitedly, fitted the orginal artwork I used better, which was based on the pokemon and had bushes on the shell. The main idea is that the upgrade looks more fierce and/or strong and I think I achieved that. Further more using two illustrations made by two different artists with no known connection to oneanother and recieving no instructions from me whatsoever, taking all that into consideration, I think it illustrates my ideas well enough.

Somewhat, perhaps. But Tarasques are more dragon-like among other features. I've used Tarasques in the past, but in very different contexts.

imo Terratoises should just be the replacement for the old boring Treants
I think the upgrade looks a bit to aggressive and dragonlike (though, lorewise, they should probably have a strong connection to Sylvanna)
