Advice on Girls
I've recently been told by a friend that "girl's don't know what they want" and I was just wondering how true that might be.
If you are looking for context, I am a male teen.

The truth of the matter Lucky is that neither sex know what they want. They don't normally find out (and sometimes never do) until middle age.
Trying to work out what's going on the head of the opposite sex is a waste of time. Much better you just enjoy yourself, have fun and hopefully meet likeminded people who like you for what you are.

Hehe usually all teens dont really know what they want, even though they think they due.
Alot of women have dreams & it is hard to connect the couples to be so compatible.
As women get older, they usually know what they want & they will share it, sometimes not in the best way for men to understand.
I think your friend might be misinformed in some parts.
If your friend is a female, then she might not really know what she wants.
If he is a male, then that is pretty typical male reply of how do ya say Shovinis lol (I said it wrong sue me  )
We never understand women, but we really dont have to.
Just love them & just make them as happy as you can.
Never try to understand them, because it makes it worst.

What Meroe and Acu said, Don't bother with overthinking things as you will discover that most grownups still don't know what they want 
Find a girl you like and ask her out and if that doesn't work, you keep trying with others untill you get a desirable result

For many people, what they say they want, what they think they want, and what they actually want are three different things. This is equally true for guys and girls, though. That's why I advise looking at actions as well as words - and if they don't match, don't trust the words too much.

This is so true - I still struggle with trying not to do it. It can drive you crazy and your are rarely right in what you think they are thinking. Not worth it.
I think when we are young we want it all, and as we get older we realise that we can't have it all and then figure out what is really the most important to us, and we work out what we don't want.
But meroe said it all so simply and profoundly - just try to have fun and make yourself happy. Then happy people with the same interests will ultimately gravitate towards you anyway

Wise words whose origins I cannot recall, if you want to understand a girl don't listen to her words, just look at her  Saying a girl doesn't know what she wants depends more on what age you are referring to and even then it is hardly an absolute statement. If anything there are no universal rules to understanding a girl, some might apply for some, others can get you in trouble. When one acts on feeling and intuition, strict logic takes the back seat From what I have seen though, they tend to think too much for their own good What did he say, why he said it, what did he mean, were there hidden implications, DID HE JUST [...]?! Whereas if you ask said guy he'll likely say wait, what?
