Just played around with a drow for a tiny bit. Dunno if anything will ever come of it.
Whenever I play a new race I'm always set-off at first by the change  When I made my dwarf I was like "I am so friggin' fat!!"

Lol. Well I just prefer to play as drow because they suit my choices so well with their bonus to Charisma i.e. perfect for Sorceror or FVS. Plus I love the blue green skin 
EDIT: It was nice to see Jaba on ddo today.

Could we arrange a time? I'm generally free after 6pm (GMT+10) on most days, however I'm also entirely free on Fridays and Tuesdays if we arrange a play-date (aaaah nostalgic childhood moment!)

Yeah I think we definitely need to arrange a time, I miss playing with you Baron. I think I'm GMT -7, ugh 17 hours behind you ha. Good times for me are often ... now (I'm an insomniac) and mornings.
Also it would be a good idea to find out what adventure packs people have. I've acculumated quite a few:-
Sharn Syndicate - lvl 4 quests
Catacombs - lvl 3-4
Tangleroot Gorge - lvl 3-7

Three Barrel Cove - lvl 4-7
Shan-To-Kor - lvl 3-5

Devil's Assault - lvl 6-20
Sorrowdusk Isle - lvl 6-10
Sentinels of Stormreach - lvl 6-8
Vault of Night - 7-10
Necropolis 2 - lvl 8-9
Ruins of Threnal - lvl 8-10
Red Fens - lvl 9
Sands of Menecktarun - lvl 10-12
Necropolis 3 - lvl 11-12
Ruins of Gianthold - lvl 13-14
Necropolis 4 - lvl 14-17

Remember that the quest level when done on elite takes you two levels higher than your toons level, so be aware of this otherwise you will just keep dying as you are effectively under level for the quest.
I'm going to jump on ddo now, which is absolutely the wrong time for everyone else lmao.

And pretty much anytime during the weekends.

Well if you go VIP you get all the packs, but obviously only as long as you remain VIP. Otherwise you buy them. Mostly I save up my turbine points (you get those through gaining favor points), or you can buy some (not too expensive) and you just buy the packs you want.

Where can I see how much turbine points I have, and where do I spend them?
Since I'm such cheap snow I don't want to pay for anything, though free stuff is nice, and since I won't be spending any points on 2nd class races like Drows, I can focus mostly on adventure packs I guess.

When in ddo, click on the gold coin icon in your social bar, that's the Turbine Store, in Account you will find the list of adventure packs.
Things like Drow race and Favored Soul are also unlocked through gaining favor points. So if you play enough you will eventually get those free anyway. I have both. And once you get to veteran status (through favor too) you can create new toons from Level 4, rather than starting at Level 1.
For every 100 favor you are given 25 turbine points. What I do is every week check to see what is on sale, sometimes you can get adventure packs for half price!! That's how I do it. Can take a while, but its saves.

Okay guys, its been a while. Just a little post to let you know that any officer can update the shrines on the airship. Normally its easier to buy a month at a time. As I said to Ossie on ddo earlier, once you make the hookpoints appear, any current shrine/buff will tell you how long it has left before it expires. So save yourself some plat by not wasting if the buff has days or weeks left.
But if you are buying buffs, you may choose what one's you want to have ... that's the deal.
I would be doing more of this if I had more plat, but as I haven't been questing much (my fault, yes I know), my toons are pretty much broke after the last time.

How is the game these days? I had subbed for a year but stopped playing just before the Orc update. I stopped playing mainly because people only cared about raid loot and I found 4th edition to be underwhelming. Something about having +50 strength was a little off-putting.

Ahh the game is great. We formed our own guild. Only real problem is different time zones means it hard to get on at the same time.
You still get jerks in the game unfortunately, but if you can quest with guildies its just fun.
Plenty of updates this year. We now have a new class too.

I have been trying to get to level 6 for ages now, I know it's silly.
Anyways, the plan was to make a time when we all can play, right?
So I guess we really need to decide that, otherwise it won't be much playin'... :/

Absolutely Jaba. This is where we really need to plan a guild run.
I know the frustration, I hate pugging, but its necessary to level up if you've not got guildies on.
I'd noticed you had been on earlier.
The great thing is Ossie, who is on every day and probably Blizz and Will have managed to get the guild to level 27!!!!! I felt a little guilty logging on today and seeing that. I'm such a bad guild leader.

Yeah but I'm like logging in, then I try to do a quest and then I die and I just rage quit.
I don't have any patience when it comes to this game.
Besides my stupid class kills too slowly...
