Nature photos of HC members
Okay! Today I was on a really good trip what calms down my mind and strenghten my soul and, of course, gifted me with so much great experience!
I make some photos about the little critters I have met and while I was about to upload these aformentioned pictures as I promised I suddenly got an idea: What if I create a separate topic for them, more precisely for nature themed photos for everyone here on HC!
Yes, I know that there are dozens of photo-threads but I did not find one particularly created about nature photography. You now may say that why do I not upload them into my artistic thread (Your inner creator, watch it if your time let you do so...) then?
Frankly, I do not know exactly but I think of because the followings:
- That thread was created to artist to show their art while non-artist comment them because feedback is really important for an artist further developement (But since almost only artist visit the thread to show their art the thread is failed and cannot fullfill it's intented duty)...
- Nature photography is really different from any other art style because there you do not create something new from nothing but you make existing things 'immortal'...
- And finally I want all of you to send your pictures here as making photos is not a hard thing while share them with the others may make some people happy...
So, here are the first batch of pictures I made today (names under the picture)! Feel free to comment them and send your own nature themed photos here (please, share the experience!)!
Thank You!
Papilio machaeon (male)
Undefined owl-moth (female)
Comma C-album (male)
Urocerus gigas (female, laying her eggs)
Inachis io (female)
Arghynnis paphia (female)
Tabanus bovinus (supposedly female)
Polysarchus denticauda (female)
Agrostis exclamationis (female)
Agriope bruennichi (female, femme fatale)
Calicurgus hyalinatus (female)
Helix pomatia
That was all I saw today, hope you like them!

I skipped most of the pics as soon as I figured they were all of insects.
Thankfully I hadn't noticed yet.

I thought this said pictures of members, not by members.
Anyway, some pictures from my trip to Yellowstone National Park last year. I have a bad habit of always trying to get as close to the animals as possible...

Everyone! Nice pictures! It is really good to see that so many of you love Mother Nature!
Keep up the good work! And share the experiences!
@Alci
Nice Aeshna mixta! Really good quality pictures! Wonder what kind of camera have you?
Oh, and some more pictures from me for you, enjoy!
Hyla arborea
A really nice moment! Sheep with her little 'heirs'...
Emys orbicularis (male)
Two random pictures taken in the Zselic-mountain.
And here are some 'not-so-nature' pictures. Some pictures I taken from my prepared insects (I made them for my own collection):
Acanthoplus discoidalis (female from Morocco)
Anthia sexguttata (maybe male from Morocco)
Buthus atlantis (from Morocco)
Decticus albifrons (male from Turkey)
Palpares libelluloides (female from Israel)
And I uploaded two nature-themed artworks into my 'Your inner creator' thread!

My camera is nothing fancy, it's a Panasonic DMC-ZS5, it was not that expensive, and I just use automatic settings (I don't know much about photography) so I'm very pleased with the image quality.
As promised earlier, here are some rose pictures from my garden (taken with same cam). The first one is one of my favorite roses, called Pat Austin, it has a very remarkable orange/bronze/gold colour, that is impossible to descripe, and which seems to vary a lot depending on the light:
This one, I think is Charles Darwin, but I'm not sure, it might be Golden Celebration (which I also have in another plant) - bf bought it and threw away the label before I got to see it, and he always forgets those things.
And last one for this time, this is Charles Austin, another rose I've grown very fond of. It starts out being almost orange, and then fades to pink as the flowers develop:

Like the Ladybug!
Today I shot some pictures from a freshly hatched Libellula depressa! Enjoy:
A happy Polistes gallicus on a wild carrot flower (Daucus carrota):
And because our little, sweet Meroe liked the photo of the tree I give you some more pictures I've made in 2010's fall:
Hope you like those new piccies!
