Hero of Order
The Abyss Staring Back at You
posted September 20, 2011 10:59 PM

I believe it.  Austrailia seems to be the land where everything is bigger and deadlier.

Deadliest sharks, deadliest snakes, deadliest crocs, deadliest jellyfish, deadliest spiders, deadliest scorpions.  I've even heard they have rampaging herds of camels that spit acid, have stingers on their tails that inject toxic venom, and can turn you to stone just by looking at you.

Seriously.

That's nothing compared to the dangers of a Friday night outside any bar in Melbourne or any town in Australia come to think of it!!!!  And I don't mean violence either.  You just try to walk past a group of drunken Aussie men.  Its like trying to run the gauntlet through hordes of horny octopi!

OK here's the second half the pictures I take as I promised, so enjoy:

Calliphora vomitoria, female

Chorthippus biguttulus, female, she was a nice little girl and posed for my camera

Hepialus lupulinus, freshly molted female

Misumenops tricuspidatus, female, she were fast and hurry for somewhere... As you could see...

Palomena prasina

Bob as I called this Palomena prasina...

Vespula (Paravespula, to be exact) vulgaris, and that situation was not as hot as it seems and she did not sting me at the end...

Philodromus marginitatus, female, and yes she blend so much in the background with her shape and natural camouflage colours...

Cucurbita pepo or just pumpkins

Solidago canadensis, common invasiv specie here in Europe (yes it came from America...)

Awesome photo's again Dukey.  I just loved the spider - Philodromus Marginitatus - that coloring and camoflage is just amazing!!!

And I love shield beetles - Palomena Prasina.  They are just so cool.

Life is a strange thing...
I've just arrive and heard there's a mice somewhere at home...

I caught the little guy and made some photos (I'm sure he was alone, 'cause the signs and the mice itself was a young, not-adult male and males always lonely):

Awww sweet little mousey.  Unfortunately, if you find one, there will also be its family around somewhere.  Mice are not solitary creatures.

The mice was totally solitary, I think he were transported accidently from the market with the potato what was in a bag. And I let him free in a near forest.

I just can't hurt that little bugger Sooooooooo nice
