If the Emperor should really return (and I hope he does he is like a walking Supernova he will bring some pain!!) he won't be easy to bring down.
Far as i understand:
C'tan=Gods of the "physical universe"
Chaos gods=Gods of the "immaterium"
EDIT: Also, he defeated the Void dragon cause the dragon had fought and destroyed several blackstone fortresses before he crashed to earth.
Fighting the most powerful C'tan while it is in full strength is pretty much impossible for any single being (that could touch them anyway, I don't think the chaos gods can take a powerful physical form).

Well that and like Omega said the Necrons simply want exterminate all life. If you're breathing there is no reason for you to exsist.

Also remember how entrance to the eye is limited mainly around cadia?
The pylons that hold the eye are supposedly a necron construct. I dont think it would be very hard for them to completely cut it off from the physical universe.

What do you mean "hold the eye" the eye came into being with the birth of Slaanesh there is no construct keeping it open it's just a gargantuan rift in realspace. And well Cadia is at the very heart of it all so no surprise that people come and go from the rifts core don't you think?
There are Necron pylons on Cadia but what they do is anyones guess as of now I believe.

I was told that cadia is the primary gate because the necron pylons keep the eye from opening other major passageways

Guess I was wrong about September. Now the rumors are the Necron Codex being released in November. What do you want to bet it will be pushed back after that?!

That atleast 4 new spehs mareen codexes and 2 imperial guard codexes are released before it gets out.

Whoa, that's gonna take a lot of time. Seeing how most planets have many many regiments of Imperial Guard and every planet in the imperium contributes.
And here we are, seeing the banana-peel from far away and slipping on it still. Perhaps even wanting to slip.

I can/could afford it. It ain't so expensive here in Norway. But my main problem is: FINDING SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH! FFS nobody does anything cool in Norway ;'(
But seriously, haven't bought any army or anything yet, but me and my brother often talked about getting some. Hell, I once bought a whole set of the "Ring of Rule" table top game. Not because I ever plan on playing it, but because I just liked to set myself up at some table and spend weeks gluing demm undead legions together and painting them until they became....PERFECT! ... Yeah, I'm nuts that way. So I got a whole legion of Undeads and Royalist humans from Ring of Rule, as well as a Wizard and a Necromancer stashed away somewhere just looking awesome, and I must say I wouldn't exactly mind getting some Wh40k figures. If it hadn't been for the fact that right now I live in a house where I don't have the space to really sit for weeks and paint.

Try finding someone who plays battlefleet gothic 
Oh and if you really do get into w40k you should first check if your desired faction is getting snowed in the ass by GW

I have heard rumours of it being somewhat unbalanced yes, but I dunno. I know of one group of players, but I got to cross half the country to get to them. But I often pay attention to their matches, and either they are sucky players, or the unbalancing issues are just rumours, cause they are very even most of the time.

BFG is pretty much w40k fleet combat.
If there is ONE faction you can count on ALWAYS being laughed at, it has to be chaos daemons
EDIT: If you also get into BFG (But I warn you, it is impossible to find players for it) do pick Necrons cause their fair and balanced rules set them at advantage over everyone else

BFG, yeah, read about that on the Lexicanum twice(once a long time ago, and the second time not to long ago when I researched the Imperial Fleet and Navy). But both times I mistook BFG for a book.
Ohh yeah, Chaos Daemons *hurhur*. Yeah, those poor players who chose to be them are snowed.
