Yeah, I don't think there is a way they could control the C'tan.
They could say "we no harvest souls" but then the star gods would probably destroy them and seek new warriors 
Also this kinda screws up the machine god concept of the adeptus mechanicus if the void dragon was to be a mere pawn

Huh... Necrons controlling their gods...
I guess the next logical step is having a Berzerker bi***slapping Khorne in the face and telling him "go kill some sphess mehrens for me."

No, the next step is that the fourth tyranid hivefleet will only contain the hivemind while all the genestealers and ripper swarms hang back and chill

I bought an issue of White Dwarf UK yesterday.
pretty interesting stuff. the top topic of it was new additions to the Ogre Kingdoms. there also was a new army list for sisters of battle, but I didn't got there yet :/ browsed a list of GW shops, was surprised there were none in Germany, and even more surprised that there was one in Lithuania O.o

I have been opposed to that since it was announced earlier in the year. It makes even less sense if the Black Templars are the Space Marines seeing as how they would not work with any xenos filth.
Too bad Necrons won't be playable. I understand why, but it bums me out. I would love to play as a Necron Lord.

Hey, it's just like when Blood Angels teamed up with the Necrons.
I just don't understand why each race can't be it's own unique faction
Tbh they should add necrons as a special playable in an expansion or something

Woah did it take me a while to find the 40k thread haha.
Rumors are that Necrons are getting updated in November sometime, with an announcement due out towards the end of October, so am guessing that the November white dwarf will have it as the main feature.
Am excited about these rumors as I am a die hard Necron fan, sick of always having to field the same combination to even stand a chance of winning against mates, so I am really clinching onto these with a blind faith haha.
However I am confident in what I have read and they seem to be the strongest rumors out of all the other potential races which should in theory be updated before 6th edition comes out.. (Tau, Chaos, blood angels are the others?..)

Also for March 2012 something called "Codex:Chaos legions" that will supplement the current chaos codex will be released along with a unique rulebook for The Lost and the Damned.
6th edition has been rumoured for summer 2012 but they don't really have the time update the Eldar and Tau before that

I've read the whole thread on Heresy online, then again, it is all just rumors of course hehe.
I would definitely think Tau will be updated before 6th edition, if not they will be updated alongside the release of 6th edition.
I personally don't think the Eldar are in dire need of an update, I still seem to be able to use them competently against even the supposedly "over powered" Dark Eldar.

Atm eldar have little change against swarm armies, and the fact that the mummified cron codex doesn't have much trouble against them does tell something

Not Necessarily true, I have dealt with Tyranids, Imperials and Orks quite effectively with Eldar, though this may be because I know what my mates are going to field (house rules I suppose?) I can then construct an Eldar force that can competantly fight them. I usually use my mates Eldar, he has a 5000+ point force, I think the most effective Eldar forces are larger, sort of like Necrons.
I really do think it is about how you go about exploiting the weakness in your foe and naturally a little bit of luck. Then of course the amount of points you play with can really make a battle more interesting, some armies are much more able to cope using a smaller point limit than others which is a problem..

Even tho the latest tyranids are pretty sucky they seem to be great with dealing point mucher races such as eldar and necrons.
And with proper planning and force composition even grandpa crons kick ass 
|
