A self respond
I have managed to identify 23 od the heroes that have appeared in an previous M&M game. I Suspect there can be more, so if you find any I did not, pleas let me know. I just want to have a full lis of them.
The list of them si divided into 3DO and Uisoft era. This sould point out the diference between a Tribute hero (3DO) and a Continues character (Ubisoft). The heroes are listed under that game, in which they have originaly appeared.
3DO

Kalindra (note Kilindra is an Common M&M name that appeared in a RPG befor Heroes II)

P.s. These are only character references and tributes. Non character ones like artefacts and ain game notes will be added later (maybe in a seperate topic)

But there was a Miranda in Heroes IV (just a character).
I think that Valeska isn't a deliberate H3 reference, but Lorhish references Clash of Heroes.

Also there is Kaspar in H4 (Chaos faction) but I'm pretty sure that there isn't any reference with H5/6's Kaspar.

Haha, 'cause I think her portrait is one of the cutest. How about you show me one you think is one of the worst and one you think is one of the best?
When I said the Cyclops' bio, I meant Acamas, not the unit. I'm still surprised they made a Cyclops hero, and I'm very curious about what his (her?) bio says.

Well, all the stronghold ones are terrible, but that's what you get when you have an Orc faction lead by Seven Cities or Free Cities human. Really a shame 
I can't say I like any of the bios tbh. They're ranking from dull to terri-bad.

Oh, I had no idea he wasn't in the beta. Well thank you for posting Zouleika's. It wasn't very good... in fact it was very dull. But on the bright side it's still better than just a portrait, at least in my opinion.

The mere mention of Agar is making me pseudo-rage.
And it only gets worse thenceforth 
EDIT: Seriously, why are they being so insistent on bringing former/classic heroes into their little dragon world?
Is it supposed to be fan-service or something, because it comes off as being incredibly lazy instead.
At least H5 had a fresh start (excluding horrible Crag Hack/ Sandro/ Whatnot references).

Now you're just fanraging. Besides it's a rather common practice in games or comics/manga, not like ubi is the first or the last to do so. And frankly.. Who wouldn't want to see a proper Sandro or Crag Hack in Ashan?

I don't mind those references to old names, it's just that the stories are ... like really poor 
I mean, really, Zouleika's Minotaur's last word were "Mistress, set my people free" (can you hear the violins ?) and then she just goes to Pao Islands (after living 20 years in the Seven Cities) and goes from Magician to Shaman just like this ? It's just a very cheap and a very bad story
Either they said too much (lots of stuff we don't even care about) or they didn't say enough (but we don't want 3 pages of a secondary hero's bio).
