I've searched through google, through forum search... But I didn't find what I'm looking for so I hope this is first topic like this. Namely- I'd love to play H3 beta- but not some kind of demo- just beta which most of mortals wasn't able to see- and play what's more important. But I've seen plenty of screens from beta. So I've a question: Is there- somewhere in web- beta of H3? Thx in advance and sorry if there was topic like this.
I believe that it does not exist. Because the open beta test was not performed to my knowledge. There is a one scene release named Heroes_Of_Might_And_Magic_3-CiFE dated February 1999. Many sources claims this release as beta but actually it is not. It is identical to Final released version with only two small differences. First of these differences - a specially signed game executable with 'Matt Ferrari' label. Second difference in file 'H3Bitmap.lod'. In CiFE release it is a bit newer(!!!) than in Final released version. The final released version is dated February 16 1999 while CiFE version dated February 18 1999. Of course it is not possible that beta version was released after the final release.
Well... I suppose that's not what I'm looking for, but thanks for reply. It's interesting anyway . However- I've seen so many beta/alpha/pre-relase H3 screens that I still hope to find something more... Interactive
