Judgement for Round 2:
Ground Holder:
I like it very much, because it is very fitting and not too strong, imo.
10/10
Slice and dice:
A nice ability, and it can be seen as fitting, yet it is rather strong, especially for a core, and it is pretty much an advanced version of crippling strike...
4/10
Bitter End Blade:
A very interesting, though maybe a bit strong ability. Also I'm not sure how it's meant to be: does the stack attack when any of its units' dies, or does the stack do a final attack with it's power before dying, when it is totally vanquished.
7/10
Enchanted Armor:
Fitting for a defensive Unit like the Heavy Infantry, though we have not yet determined how exactly the things with magical damage work, if there's a magical and physical def. and such, so it may have to be altered, but that's no problem.
8/10
Shield Charge:
I like this one, though it is a bit offensive, for the more defense-oriented Heavy Infantry...
7/10
Thus, ground holder and enchanted armor are in. congratulations to admira and gnomes.
Round 2:
Your task is to create a good creature ability for the Longbowman now, the first upgrade of the Bowman (which is another Haven Core).
The bowman has, of course, the ability to perform ranged attacks, as well as a
-Rain of Arrows: (Can three times per battle target one hex tile. This tile and all surrounding tiles are hit. Any stack hit gets 50% of normal ranged damage of this creature.)
the deadline is next Saturday, about 16 PM middle-european time, again.

Oh, didn't realize the infantry was so defensively oriented.
Might be good to advertise what kinda abilities you're looking for next time. Like, "I want a defensive ability", or something.
I made that ability cuz I figured you would choose one of the passive defensive ones the others made (which you did), which would leave a space open for a more fun active ability to use for the creature.

hmmm, maybe you're right and that was mainly my exptentance. Notice though, that you still only barely missed, it was still agreat ability!
To give a bit more of what I expect for the longbowman: I think the abilities should focus on the ranged attack, unless you find something REALLY fitting other ability...
EDIT: about halftime and no entry
also...why doe3s it say avi has posted but there's no post from him here?! O.o

0.O Next one is already up?!
Ahhhhh! 'K then, did not see that, er... ability, ability... Aha!
Cover Fire: Once a turn, the Longbowman may choose a target friendly stack to cover. When an enemy stack moves to attack the chosen stack, the longbowman spends its retaliation to shoot the enemy for 25% normal damage before the enemy is able to attack and before retaliation.

Concentration (Passive Ability)
- Each consecutive ranged attack against the same stack does 20% more damage. Concentration bonuses are cancelled if the Longbowman attacks or retaliates against a different stack or uses an active ability.

Long Bows
Long bows allow the longbowman to fire further and with more damage. Thus, there is full range in 3/4 of the field, and a 10% chance to deal double damage.

Observe (Activate)
Description: Target 1 enemy stack. For the next 3 turn, Longbowman deals additional damage for 200% damage of initial damage, the bonus damage is reduced each turn passed by 20%, closing the damage at 160% in the 3rd turn after Observe. Attacking another target cancels the Observe effect on enemy stack.
Lore Stuff
Carefully observe the enemy formation and movement pattern, Longbowman is able to deliver more efficient strike to the enemy, however the movement pattern occasionally change on the battlefield reducing their effectiveness the more time passes.

I'm sorry didn't find time for this til now, right now doing the judgment
Judgement of Round 3:
Phew, that's hard indeed, great entries!
Cover Fire:
Awesome, really like it, it's fitting, balanced (maybe a bit weak though?), and, in a strange way, seems creative AND classical/logical to me...
10/10
Concentration:
A really nice, solid, fitting ability! 9/10
Long Bows:
I like the klong range effect, if I understand it right, it is perfectly fitting. The double damage thing...can be a bit imbalanced - on one hand, it does not occur often, on the other, if it occurs, it has a very heavy impact...still like the ability much, though!!! 8/10
Observe:
Fits the Longbowmen well, especially since there are no Elven Archers in (so far) but may be a bit strong, imo. Yet, again, a great ability! 8/10
so, great round, noone below 8, awesome, guys!!!
However only two can come in, so... Concentration and Cover Fire are in, congrats to Adrius and gnomes.
Round 4.1:
Your task is to create a good creature ability for the Holy Archer now, the other upgrade of the Bowman. The Holy Archer uses arrows imbued with flaming holy energy, which shall be represented in the ability!!!
The bowman has, of course, the ability to perform ranged attacks, as well as a
-Rain of Arrows: (Can three times per battle target one hex tile. This tile and all surrounding tiles are hit. Any stack hit gets 50% of normal ranged damage of this creature.)
!!! Important Note: I will split this creature in 2 rounds, 1 for the "holy arrow" ability, and one for other abilities...
Notification: Round 4.1 will end On thursday!!!

Smart move dividing it into two contests, that way we can adjust the 2nd ability to fit the 1st one. I'm assuming that the deadline isn't as long as before to compensate?
Personally I thought the wait was a bit too long the last times.

I was thinking that too... But that's just a numbers thing and can be changed at any time.
Purify:
On attacks, an enemy struck looses one of its buffs (lowest level first). Deals a small amount of extra damage (10-15%) to undead creatures, monsters and demonic creatures.

@adrius: oh yes, forgot to add that, sorry...I thought about it, but I, too, think the deadline should be a bit shorter for that. We'll try it And of course, for each part, only one winning ability is chosen this time.
EDIT: Note you have time for entries til thursday, stillm but then begins round 4.2

I removed my old ability and made a new one.
Searing Aegis (Activated Ability)
- The Holy Archer fires an imbued arrow into an unoccupied Hex, engulfing the Hex in holy flames.
Any non-allied creature passing through the Hex receives Fire damage equal to the Holy Archer's normal damage.
Allied creatures occupying the Hex receives a Flame Shield ability that deals Fire damage to creatures attacking it.
Searing Aegis does not disappear over time, but can be targeted and removed by Cleansing abilities and spells.
Thought this was more interesting... can be used both offensively and defensively.
For example...
- You can fire it in front of your enemy's units, forcing them to move through it and receive damage.
- You can fire it in front of your Holy Archers, making sure that any enemy that tries to lock them up in melee receives heavy damage for standing there.
- You can fire it adjacently to an enemy and then move your melee unit into the Hex and attack the enemy from there, the enemy will receive Fire damage as it retaliates your Fire Shield protected unit.

Sorry for the Late posting...wasn't on the internet the last couple of days...Judging will come later (sorry)
Round 4.2:
Your task is to create a second creature ability for the Holy Archer now, the other upgrade of the Bowman. The Holy Archer uses arrows imbued with flaming holy energy - but that was what round 4.1 was about. Now, you shall find a fitting ability that is NOT about the holy arrows...
The bowman has, of course, the ability to perform ranged attacks, as well as a
-Rain of Arrows: (Can three times per battle target one hex tile. This tile and all surrounding tiles are hit. Any stack hit gets 50% of normal ranged damage of this creature.)
Notification: Round 4.2 will end On tuesday!!!
Only ONE ability will taken from round 4.2 of course...

Guiding Light (Passive Ability)
- Spells and abilities that affect the Holy Archer's ability to fire ranged attacks are negated.
Comment: Negated as in not working, not removed. For example, if the Holy Archer is affected by a spell that affects his Attack, his melee damage will be reduced but his ranged damage will be protected by Guiding Light. This ability only negates spells and abilities that affect the Holy Archer, it cannot negate defenses that the enemy is using on itself, e.g. a shield spell.
