Have you tried procedure with Command line in post above?
Remember to put DVD into Drive first.
What is happening if you type "E:" in command line window?
Remember you will have type YOUR DVD drive LABEL.
E:
and then type:
dir and hit enter.
What does it show?

Right, I'm stuck on The Emperor's Will (right after the tutorial), a mission which I successfully completed during the beta. I managed to collect the breastplate and the spaulders but can't find the third piece from the Guardian's set. The map's wiped clean of life except duke Gerhard behind the wall but I can't find the bloody thing. Hope it isn't some bug. I'd appreciate some directions.

You might be in luck. Don't have access to the puter with the game on it today, but plan on going through it again tomorrow. I will see if I can find all 3 pieces and note the locations.

Forget it, the problem was elsewhere. I had to build all the structures in the Mausoleum and when I did, the relevant cutscene triggered and the gate protecting duke Gerhard opened... Thanks anyway.

Yes I put the game into my drive, label E and typed it in the black blackground thingy. It gave the result I wrote before =/ But I'm happy I got rid of securom.
I will send back one of my collectors edition with big shipment cost. I went back with the external DVD drive to get some money back and got myself the download version  It works so finally now I can play, yay!
I got ver 1.1.31785 but the cursor still flickers, is it the latest version? I also unlocked the collectors edition bonus. I got the heroes and weapons but where is the new campaign Heart of Nightmares?
Storywise it's better to do it before the tutorial according to Cepheus. When I go to the campign I can only do the tutorial, do I need to do it first?

It's only one map, not a campaign. You have to start a custom game and in the first dropdown list, you must select Scenario and the map will appear

Version is 1.1.1 now. You should always launch the game through the gu.exe (game updater)

Does anyone have serious crash issues when in combat and it's the AI's turn? This happens like almost every combat on the fourth mission of necro campaign... Crashed on the third mission too, but not that much

I initially had a few crashes in combat, turned out it was because I had high on environment graphics and my graphics card barely meets the minimum

I have the same thing in combat map.
It is not graphic card, it is programming bug.
It happens when some creature dead or attack animation triggers.
If you play combat smoothly, and after a while it crashes it does not mean you graphic card is weak( not enough memory for example ).
I had that crash in demo also. And it does not matter if I play 3 hours or 20 minutes.
But it does not happen frequently.
Currently twice.

I didn't mean that my graphic card is weak, I meant that it's maybe a bug that happens with higher graphical settings.
Btw, I played the beta and after the first patch it never crashed

Not removed, renamed. Fate = luck (pretty much). Though from what I have seen 1 point is not the same. 2 fate doesn't add much luck from all I have experienced.
That wasn't what I meant, I mean when you create your heroes you can choose a bonus, which could be like: +1 ore, better at a certain school, extra creature growth etc. In the Beta there was one that gave extra luck (fate), that I'm 100% sure of, and now it's gone. Why?

She's super easy. Just do what you do in EVERY campaign map (almost):
- Fend off initial threats and expand (1 more town a week if possible). Then outgrow her. That's it.
|
