I fight with and fight larger forces in scenarios than I have so far in the first four campaign maps (two intro and two necro). Still, I get much more dynasty experience in campaign.
And, btw, I have never fought a quick combat in my entire Heroes career. I'm really fighting back feeling insulted. I know you don't know me from Adam, but still stings a bit.
Anyway, that was all beside the point and off topic for the necro walkthrough thread. My questions were:
Can I come back for the free Level Up near Ma' Namtaru after the whole dream sequence?
Do the campaigns have predictable level caps?
Thank you.

Quote: Spoiler
I'm begging someone to tell me where are the four Shantiri Discs in the last map. So far I have found only 3 and I think that without the four that gives more army it's impossible to kill Uriel - boss fights suck! So please - can someone tell me where they are?
You can see on your minimap where to find them, as quest objectives are marked on it. Note that you need to expand your minimap into the overlayed minimap, through the arrow button in the lower left corner.
The map for this mission should only contain 9 quest objectives: 5 are the portals you need to close and you got shown where they are. The other 4 are the discs you need to collect.
It might be wise to place a Hero on the beach at the southeast corner, when you get the 4th fragment, because the Tear can be found there (caveat: I am not sure if the location is random, but it was shown there for me). With the Hero nearby, you can quickly transport it to one of your towns.
Note: constructing the Grail structure requires more than just the Tear in this game; you need a boatload of other resources as well, but you can check the requirements for it in your town building screen and plan accordingly.
By the way: if you are in need of money, I had something odd occur to me. While I was standing still for several turns in a row with a Hero in the central dustbowl, I found the "Golden Goose", which yields 2000 gold / day while equipped.

Thanks. I actually found it after a massive search of the whole map - the little sea was the only place left unchecked... Now I'm trying to beat Uriel. I suppose that the maps are four because the forth one has the boss fight?
Edit: I confirm - the maps are four. If anyone needs help, I can help now.

By the time I found all the discs, I didn't know there were only 4 maps, so I figured I would see if it carried over and didn't use it. I discovered there was nowhere for it to carry over to. Oh well.
The boss fight really isn't that difficult if you have decent healing magic.

2. This point was discussed in the Necro strategy section as well, but I think it deserves to be reiterated. An awesome starting strategy for creeping involves 3 equal stacks of ghosts and a stack of skeletons.
X - skeles
O - ghost stack (equal numbers, i.e. 3-3-3 instead of 9)
---
X O
O O
This strategy requires tactician, but it is well worth the point in general.
The goal here is that the ghosts will spam Defend while the skeletons range down the enemies. Because the ghosts haven't officially moved they retain their 50% reduced damage buff as well as +defense from hitting Defend. They are amazing shields. Near the end of combat just use the ghosts to heal each other up. They will probably be ok from their reduced damage and the occasional necro res spell.
This tactic would cause you extra damage against marksmen, who can shoot through multiple layers of creatures, and against spells that hit multiple squares, such as Fireball. I got the Tactic ability just for this purpose as well but now regret it, since there happens to be quite a few marksmen in the Necropolis campaign. I find the Blindness spell useful to deal with them instead.

Apparently I have to beat Anastasya's doppelganger, but can't find her anywhere on the map. (did talk to her after beating Kiril, but no actual hero appeared on the map).
Bug, or I missed something?

It's been a while since I played that mission. I do recall that you had to beat all four siblings and then Jorgen allowed you to teleport over to the castle where you would face, well, yourself. Did you beat all four siblings already?

Hmm. Weird thing.
So, Jorgen wouldn't let me proceed, and all I had to do was fight doppelganger and to find a citadel. Then I saved and came here to post about problem. And now loaded the save, to see what I've missed, and immediately after citadel quest was done, and I was transported to the area with my doppelganger and her castle. Guess save/load/reload might be useful in the future as well, and not just when you lose.
Thanks in any case, mate!

Hmm, very weird. But it's not the first bug in this game .
Have fun with the rest of the campaign .

A sarcastic "thank you" to everyone who bothered to answer my question posted on this forum. I kept getting email notifiers that the topic had been replied to, only to click and read that it was either someone posting thier own question or someone answering someone else's questions. No one bothered to answer my simple questions.
Maybe, people are not through the campaigns enough to know if there is a pattern to the level caps.
*****Spoiler******
But it would have been quite simple to say, "No, you don't come back after the dream battles. Get the free level up now. But don't worry. It is fairly easy to hit the level cap of 15, anyway. And there are two free level ups in the dream. But you will have to collect 11 Gold and 7 Crystal for each one. So, you will actually gain more Exp by choosing Gold over Exp. The level ups are pretty much the only use for Gold in the scenario."
**********
I hope it wasn't because I'm a lowly tavern dweller in this forum, or because I said something taken as offensive earlier in the thread. But it did make me sad that I had to just progress and find the answer on my own when this is a walkthough thread.
So, if anyone else is a number cruncher like me and is reading this walkthrough looking to save using a free level up until you are higher and get a larger amount of free Exp. out of it, read my spoiler paragraph above and find your answer.

I don't know why no-one answered you, but just wondering how is finding stuff on your own the "sad way"? At least when you're playing the first time...

To be honest, I completely missed your post at the top of page 2. I replied to an earlier post from page 1 and after that reply, I only checked for posts below it. So, I missed yours. I'm sorry for that, since it's a question I could have answered and I would have, had I seen it.

Bug: Tears of Asha building in Necro 4 does not give extra 5k income (town says income is 4500 gold).

Thanks people. (not sarcastic this time )
It is fun to find out things on your own. I don't like to have things spoiled, but mostly that is plot. Number crunching things don't bother me to know in advance. I also don't mind knowing when there are secret things that are exactly that... secret. Puzzling things or challenging things, I like to work out myself. Secret things I would have no way of knowing short of being a programmer, those are kind of stupid in my opinion, and so I don't mind if someone just tells me those.
I don't like making choices that will maximize something, just to find out that those choices actually hurt me because there is a level cap or, like the map in question, I would have gotten more Exp by choosing gold till I reached enough for 11,000x2.
"Yea, I picked the ability that gives me bonus Exp."
"Crap, I hit the level cap in the first half of the map."
As pointed out before, there is still Dynasty stuff getting Exp., so that is at least a little cooler. I just kind of tend to be extreme in my strategies. Why spend my time doing a few things mediocre when I could one thing crushingly well.
They did mix that up with putting cooldowns on spells and abilities.
I actually like that. Makes it harder to be a mage. Anyway, this is a walkthrough thread and I am way off topic. So, I will end this here.

That's a quirky bug, for sure. Just look at the numbers you could recruit, all negative. What happens to that number when a new week starts? Does it go up, or does it drop negatively even further?
Unless a save & reload (perhaps even restart of the game) doesn't help, you may have to restart the scenario in question.
Did you already destroy any underground Inferno towns?

Any tips on "boss" (don't they realize how unnecessary and silly is a boss in Heroes setting?) fight? I'm in late month three, and I guess I could just gather more troops, but my current batch of 600 archers, 350 ghouls, 400 ghosts, 200 vampires, 200 archliches, 200 lamases (?) and 45 fates just doesn't seem to be enough. Angel moves often, and in one hit can take 100+ of elite creatures like vampires.

My advice: get more troops. When I did this fight, I had around 170 Fate Weavers. Throughout that map, my casualties were non-existant, so when I finally faced off against Uriel, I had the full power of the army that had amassed since the game began.

Haven't lost anything either until then, but guess it was still too early (think that's the flaw of the map). Was only at month 3, week 3 and day 6 and lots of "end turn" button presses were needed from then. Luckily, as I cleared the map already, they were at least fast.
