But other than that no, it was pretty safe. There was only one incident which I might have already mentioned, the guy who almost died after trying to fire a tank's cannon while standing RIGHT BEHIND IT. Thank goodness it jammed or he'd be pulverized meat in front of our eyes. But that was a retarded thing to do and I would not blame anyone but him.
Anyways today I am officially a civilian! AFter I returned to Greece for the remainder of my service, our commander gave us 5 days off on the condition that we serve the 3 remaining days right then and there. We already had 10 days for returning from Cyprus so after the 3 days he sent us home and today I returned to get the papers. Of the 3 days, only two were in camp, the other I was out. So not bad, not bad at all I called a friend today and he told me he got 15 days jailtime for sitting on guard duty so he'd be in camp for an extra week. Jesus..
