South Park Sampling HoMM3 Sound?
Hi guys, Im an old member of this forum who just hasn't been on in forever. The reason for this topic is that today I was watching the most ingenious piece of television ever created AKA South Park and I noticed something odd. Occasionally in the episodes I would hear ittle jingles and themes played alongside the music that I swore I recognized from somewhere. And then it hit me. They were from HoMM3!
Now I don't know if there was already a topic about this (I did a search of the forums but nothing came up), but I'd be surprised if no one has ever noticed it before.
In the episode Casa Bonita, right when Cartman gets out of the car I do believe thats the "end of week" theme playing. Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't played the game in ages.

In the Episode "Fat Butt and Pancake Head" (the one with Cartman's hand as Jennifer Lopez)they play the same sound clip when Cartman goes into a dream and a loop of the [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ld2wGEnfPU]Lose Castle theme[/url] plays when Jay-Lo shows up at the school.

Many films/serials/games shares same sound samples. I am watching tons of movies and in almost every movie I hear same sounds of scream/explosions etc, same with games.
I bet there is some big database of sounds that game/movie makers are using it.

It doesn't have to big database, you can find free sound samples on the internet or just buy special sample CDs.

Yes I'm aware that films and video games sample from large databases of sounds, but the themes in Heroes 3 were composed specifically for the game. I just thought it might be interesting that someone on the team could be a fan of the game. Would Paul Anthony Romero's music end up on a free sample CD?

I often hear some of the short themes from heroes 3 in random series, well heroes maybe has a bigger community than we thought

unrelated to HoMM but I remember when I was watching the movie Sucker Punch and they were going to a sleeping dragon
the sleeping dragon yawns and the yawning sound it makes is an exact copy of how Tigers yawn in WoW 
I have also heard the Bear sound from WoW like a million times

That's cool. I've heard the "attacking building" sound from Age of Empires 2 used in South Park and other places. I've also heard the camel sound from AoE2 in some cheesy B movie that I thankfully can't remember the name of lol.

I remembered, in a drama about war, the Evil Theme of HoMM3 was used. When I were in secondary school, I use HoMM4 Sea Theme for my lecture 
HoMM's music is great!

Indeed, the music of HoMM III is quite catchy. I noticed that evil theme was also used in some social advertising campaign on TV that explained what happens to people in the car when it crashes at the wall. Also I remember that I used few of campaign themes as background music in one event.

Well, my friend's son watches Kung Fu Dino Psse and his father plays H3.
And apparently, the defend castle soundtrack was used a lot in one episode.
