in my opinion patch delay was beacuse BH is working to give us new town screens but they failed (i guess only half ot towns are ready)... so when people became angry they quickly prepare patch and give it to us.
Now it's christmas time so nobody will be working till next year and afret 2nd january BH will start working for 1.2.1 fix or 1.3.
I don't know if they would give patch soon but i hope that they have enough data (especialy from conflux) and material that they should fix balancing and other bugs. If not - for me conflux is rubbish. I think that Conflux for Ubisoft should be similar as battle.net for Blizzard.

I'm not trying to cast aspersions or anything, just wondering how an opinion like that can undergo a complete U-turn in under a month.

Because paradoxally the more you play it, the more you see its fails, and the less you enjoy it.
The first impressions from this game are ok, then after 20 hours You think this game got an untapped potential (hence my "potential" post).
Then after 100+ hours you clearly see everything is wasted to appeal to the masses.
There are an astonishing number of problem within the gameplay, game mechanics, a badly optimized map editor, too many things that many people already posted. And here we don't even speak about the bugs that got rid of!
So to make it short, this game is not worth it at the moment and is an insult to Heroes fans that we are.

From a dueling POV
Quote: I don't get why people QQ.
I like the patch, it fixes a lot of things such as Luck and the Haven creatures. There is also A LOT of other changes and fixes that didn't make it to the patch notes.
For instance, Kirins Hailstorm Aura was nerfed TO THE GROUND. Previously, they did both the aura and their normal attack, now its just the aura which is many times weaker than their basic attack...
For 1.3, I would like them to focus on balancing the game.
Haven
- A nerf to the Praetorians shield ability, Haven's healing and a nerf to the Glories (-1 movement speed, reduced health and attack).
Buff to the Angel's passive ability.
I dunno about the other parts, but yeah Glories in duels is ridicules, it basically makes you unable to cast most mass spells. reducing it's stats would be the bigger priority.
Quote:
Inferno
- No Melee Penalty to Breeders. No Enemy Retaliation to Cerberus. More survivability for the Juggernauts.
I'd think this one needs a more dramatic overhaul than that, Ravagers are actually fine, but breeders need to be changed dramatically, right now inferno in duels is often playing 6 units vs 7, it's too easy to block and even if it's not totally blocked against magic heroes it doesn't drain fast enough (not to mention they can block it even easier) and against might hero he usually have enough non-mana moves to be fine even if you end up depleting his pool after 6-7 turns or so. to add insult to injury with the exception of you managing to shoot units within half range he's basically a elite unit doing damage of similar numbers of core units.
Breeders need more than just no-melee, it needs some specialties like removing it's target's magic or something. (you know, like glories, only not as OP because you can only hit one at a time.)
Quote:
Sanctuary
- Nerf to Kappa's damage. Nerf to Pearl Maiden's healing. Nerf to Kirin's damage but buff to Hailstorm Aura's damage.
ehhh, not sure about this one, you need to take into account that honor is somewhat less impressive than the other faction's specials. especially honor 4 is a joke compare to the awesomeness of other faction's. I think the hailstorm thing was a oversight on their part or something.
Quote:
Stronghold
- They are balanced, perhaps a slight nerf to the damage/survivability of the Cyclop.
I always wonder why Goblin's trap is 3 turn CD instead of 2, it's not exactly a world beater of a move...
Quote:
Necropolis
- Nerf to Ghouls damage, nerf to Necromancy, nerf to Ghost's abilities, buff to Lamasu survivability, nerf to Liches and Spider's damage.
Nerfing Lich is the most obvious, the other parts depend on how much you think you want to nerf Necromancy,

Yeah, Honor 4 really sucks. They really need to buff it, the only use fo the Chilled effect that I have found is that it negates hit and run attacks. I usually cast Honor at level 3.
The Glory dispell is really powerful, I think they should be able to dispell 2 creatures at most when they jump.

They shouldn't be able to dispel anything on the opponent's creatures, that's a legitimate cheat and nothing more. Even if they leave them with the hit-and-run + no retaliation they will still be very powerful. Disposing of the dispel cast on the enemy stack will be more or less enough to make them slightly overpowered instead of badly overpowered.

@X-ecutionner - OK, I understand. To be honest, I share your feelings on H6's untapped potential, as I alluded to in other posts, and I perfectly empathise with people who have lost patience with the game. Some aspects in it are fun, but every one of them comes with some annoying or unfortunate caveat. I sorely wish I could go into some of the reasons why it is the way it is, but NDA, etc.
From my perspective, H6 has had a hell of a rough ride in development, even now up to 1.2. I tried my very, very best to impel them to get Quantomas on their team, which I maintain would've resulted in a much better game technically (AI, bugs) - and would've ensured that you wouldn't have had to make remarks and that I wouldn't have to make this kind of stupid apologetic post - but that wasn't happening, so here we are. As for the present, there's really not much I can say, but I am a little more optimistic that H6 will be able to evolve freely into something far from insulting. But we've done our job when it comes to making recommendations. It's all up to Ubisoft and Black Hole to collectively show the extent of their dedication now.

I would say the opposite . In v 1.2 might attacks (and pressed attack) are stronger than ever. When in mission 4 of Stronghold campaign the secondary hero Acamas with 9 maulers and 4 goblins captures an inferno fort (very deadly) on day 2 with the help of inferno elits from dwelling. He then clears all the island in a few days. Well, at least the might heroes are on par with this with the magic heroes that can do the same at those levels (lv 24). The levels are not important here but the difference with pre-patch damages.

Quantomas, isn't that the dude that made a very strong AI in Heroes 5 with a mod ? Didn't try it yet, maybe later...
I'll be honest with you, even with 1.2, there are still some absolutely hilarous bugs that didn't get fixed - would be too long to list them especially in details.
Also some of the diehard heroes 2-5 fans didn't even get interested after the demo... that means something.
How did the game score a 77 / 100 at metacritic ? esp. at release ?
Some people (including a steam friend) can't even launch the game. 50 € for nothing.
What saddens me even more is the fact that, as already said, Ubisoft did some of the best Action games of the decades. SC Chaos Theory & Splinter cell conviction, A.C serie. With more funds, they could have done an internal Heroes game (UB as the dev& publisher) but it seemed they were greater priorities in their mind. Bah, for the fans too now that we got H6.
Boycotting UB products as some people brainlessly advice will change nothing. And if we don't buy Heroes games anymore => franchise could die for good. We are facing an ultimatum.. what to do ? lol

It won't die, it will get sold. I myself would prefer to see it dead instead of constantly raped and humiliated.
