Just responding to Pacifist on other thread here:
Quote: Also the problem with spring spirits, succubi and units that return damage or spells like retribution is that a 1000 units stack attacking a single unit will receive an incredible amount of damage in return. This can be abused by the player too vs the AI so a fix is needed. A good example is H3 efreet sultan fireshield that caps at the max health of the defending unit (means 18 hp by efreet sultan max).
Good point regarding the H3 efreet sultan's damage return being capped....but I think it onyl applies to retribution aura, not spring spirits/succubi as those creatures are not meant to be melee attacked....As Zenofex said, Retribution Aura doesn't need a cool down, it needs a nerf down!
Good points about Patch 1.2:
- Major bug fixes re unit abilities (imperial griffins)
- Tactics remembered (COOL!)
- Guardian Angel nerfed
Bad points about Patch 1.2:
- No mention of necromancy being nerfed
- Gating ability still to be increased
We need to have Necro and Inferno abilities balanced, right now playing hot seat with friends, we are sticking with Naga, Haven and Orcs and not playing with the other two due to this.....

If they are 'not meant to be melee attacked' it sure is a bad decision balance wise.

I repeat - you shouldn't take these notes THAT serious.
You don't do yourself a favor lamenting sketchy patch notes. You should realize that the patch is WIP, that no definite and official patch notes are available at this point, and that Irina simply tries to feed you with at least SOME informations that she was able to grab.
It's a fact, however, that these notes are 4 weeks old, and that these notes are not complete, not by a mile.

I think these notes for Patch 1.2 are 100%, let's see!
My worry: will my savegames stay in version 1.1.1 (to continue the campaign)?
When I updated from 1.1 to 1.1.1 I had to start the campaigns again as lost my save games.....

I'm curious - did anyone experience that loss of progress in Offline Mode? Those of you who didn't save your games to the cloud, I mean; were you still able to continue the campaign and your other saved games after patch 1.1.1?

Don't you worry, we've got you covered. I am very much around but regardless ceph is a lot more active than he shows Things look like they have been on a standstill for a while but this is actually very far from the truth, things are in motion and in a way I like all things considered.

I hope this new patch to bring us sim turns once for all. I believe, ubi counts on the fact we'll forget that in time , which Im starting to think its becoming true fact among all these bugs we found
Otherwise, i think its all for the best

If we cant play usermade maps online - then how is multiplayer community gonna last? This is to me completely irrational, i bet you must be banging at their door with this Elvin? (And with your army clothing you must look like you mean business)
No necro and inferno nerfs, dooh, and still pressed attack so extremely powerful. Else, nice to have some info, and we can always hope for more changes.

He's banged the door down already, and same here. Unplayable custom maps gives all-new dimensions to the word inexcusable... At least we know there are plans underway to fix it up.

So the news say that those who are interested in December 15-16, can play with the dev team.
I suppose we should get the patch before that then?

They only say that the patch will be out "before the new year" on their Facebook. So I wouldn't be surprised to see the patch's release at December 31st 23:59

hopefully they will add simturns soon. furthermore a necromancy nerf is definetely needed.
btw luck isnt bugged, the damage is just +50% instead of +100% like in h5. for example if a creatures dmg ist 500-1000 and luck triggers the dmg is 750-1500. so even if luck triggers u can do more dmg without luck if u do the max dmg (in this case 1000)

When the luck animation plays out on the battlefield (the horseshoe appears above the attacker), 100% of the time, the lucky strike isn't indicated in the battle log. I've also seen the luck animation with the absolute minimum damage written in the battle log.
And I've seen other instances where the lucky strike was logged but there were no animation whatsoever.

Not to be a buzzkill (yeah right) but considering the complexity of adding simultaneous turns to a design that wasn't built around them (and I don't know whether the new rules would make them easier or harder to implement) I wouldn't hold my breath until the second or third expansion... if ever.

Indeed, Sim turns would take major patch, and given the speed at which game is currently updated, I can't see it happening anytime soon.

Not true. Creatures that deal a specific amount of damage will deal the same damage with Luck as they did without. At least, I've seen this on Celestials / Seraphs.
On the other hand, I have seen hits dealing more damage than the max indicated by the tooltip, when Luck triggered on the attack.
Considering both, I am not sure what's up. However, most often it seems that the Luck-triggered damage is hardly ever above the maximum possible.

Quote: I think the balancing issues will be addressed when the game is out of the beta stage. So probably after the summer.
If you actually read their patch note, you'd see they're doing balance fix before even fixing broken features/abilities/etc ... which makes absolutely zero sense.
Also I'm with Zenofex ... the change to Cerberi is really laughable. It's not 1 or 2 more defense they need ...
