Ladybird: era 2.x includes WoG and can be installed on top of "vanilla" HoMM3 complete
I tried it (and succeeded) with somewhat older versions of era (2.8.3 and a few older ones)
did you try to run HoMM3 complete before installing era on top of it?

Hi Lea, no I did not try to run HOMM before, but it does run fine via the ERA menu if I just choose vanilla.
From the error text it looks as if some sound files may be missing but that's just my guess. I did try downloading from a couple of different places but it made no difference

I have not tried older versions, maybe I will try that.
Bersy, one of the two missing DLL errors I was getting was the one you mentioned, I have put those both in and don't get the errors for those any more, so they must be recognised.

Virus on ERA version?
I can't download Era 2.8.8 from http://heroes3wog.net/era-2-download/
Reason: The file stores on Google drive. And Google drive detects the file has virus.
I tried to downloaded Era 2.8.8.exe from
https://yadi.sk/d/Bhg4CGTf3PXi3k/Releases
After I check virus at virustotal.com
I have this warning:

Where I can find a clean version without virus?
If I can not find a clean version , maybe I need to backup my data before install it.

Well, my kaspersky says there is nothing
Get a good antivirus, it is expensive but keeps you safe, also from false positive, which the crap anti viruses in your link detect.

Hello everyone, I'm a new member in HC. Before I continue, I wanna say sorry if I have any misspelled or such. I'm not really good in english, though I still understand what you're saying.
So I have played Era 2 months ago.. but after I explored more in the internet I've found so many improvement of this game that makes me curious. Then after I installed some new mods and follow some instructions of how to play them, I can't play WOG anymore since then. It says something about missing angel.dll. (just knew about it several days ago)
As someone said, I deleted all my heroes, use ccleaner, check any other heroes program in Task manager and then made a clean install Heroes 3 complete from GOG and install the latest version era 2.8.8. Everything was fine after I install the era2, I made a random game, I can click the erm and buttons were ok, But after I enabled just 1 of any mods, I couldn't click any of erm. Some buttons below that missing (like Ok to all, no to all, load) the only buttons remaining were just save and back. And it's still work.
Then I tried to search in the forum according to buttons problem and some people said to copy the buttons.dll from ModsWogEraplugin to ModsWog. But I only found Buttons.era. First, I tried to copy that instead. The result still the same. Then I tried to delelte the one on the ModsWogEraplugin, then the game crahses and shows error message (missing buttons.era)
I don't know what to do with heroes.ini but the only thing I can show you is this :

If the new custom button in MOD fails, you need to re-integrate the ERM file of MOD and the corresponding PAC button files.
For example, this MOD adds a backpack button. Not only do you need to compare the ERM of the button with the ERM file in the new ERA WOG, to detect whether there are var variable conflicts, function conflicts, etc., but you also need to modify the BTN text arrangement of the button and so on(Game directory-mods-mod's name-button folder).
ERA Startmenu - MMarchive - X:-game directory-mods-your mod's name-data --- all pac file here!

Question: Does the latest version of ERA2.88 support new bio-extensions, race extensions, magic extensions, and treasure extensions? Is there compatibility with previous battery.dll plug-ins?

I'm sorry, I mean the error button was in the Wogify menu not the button in game. I've tried the game before, so far everything was good but then there's a problem with the erm. I couldn't get the benefit of the erm if I can't modify the erm. I can only play with the default settings when I download the era. But if I'm not use any mods, I can click the erm button.

I don't even know about that. Because I got this recommendation from Liso1 in http://heroes3wog.net/heroes-3-ultimate-edition-v5-0/#comment-3941
to install the latest version. So that's all I did. I didn't even backup all my games. But I think it's fine for me.

What you mean by "erm", there is no erm icon or button anywhere. Please be precise when reporting errors
