Hello!
I got some statistics for you:
10 of the 42 songs are by Swedish songwriters.
Azerbaijan (Swedish choir)
Ireland
Italy
Norway
Spain
Greece
Cyprus
Malta
United Kingdom
and of course Sweden
Additional info: The demo version of JEDWARD's song was sung by everybody's manboy ERIC SAADE. (Warning: link to Saade's 2010 entry).
Conclusion: Swedish victory! Just like in the last year with Running Scared (also with Swedish choir).
As a Swede I can't really complain but it is a bit boring when songwriters export the songs that were not allowed to start in the Swedish national competition. For example Jedward's Waterline is at least two years old. Why can't so many countries find anything better than Swedish leftovers?
Seminfinal 1
In general I think the better songs qualified for the final, only a bit disappointing that Finland couldn't qualify just because they couldn't get any Swedish votes.
I didn't rellay have any real favourites but many song were happy as long as they played (and then quickly forgotten). Hungary and Iceland was good quality, especially Austria was not.
I guess the Retired Russians had a good time, but I just can't like their song.
Semifinal 2
I'm looking forward to watch Loreen qualify for the finals tonight. Other favourites are few but there are a lot of nice ballads. Slovenia partially reminds me of H4 by the way but their performance and chorus is not good enough.
I'm not sure that Serbia will get that high scores. It sounds like the Shire music in LotR and is rather anonymous, but on the other hand it is performed by a famous singer (second in 2004) and compared to other Ballads and Balkan entries Serbia's is not bad - just one among many. In this competition the Balkan country who also manages to get some non-Balkan votes is automatically in the top, perhaps Serbia is too easy to forget just like the others.
The Final
It's a good thing that most of the Great Powers have good songs this year. Italy is one of my favourites, Germany is just like Hungary a good radio song, UK has a beautiful guitar sequence, Spain is another nice ballad etc. Add the better half from the semifinals and it's a great evening in front of the TV.

Serbia will WIN the second semi and get at least 4 12s in the finale. Regardless of how sceptical you are about Serbia's chances, it s fourth in the betting odds for a reason.
w.r.t. Tonight's semi, I'll wait to post my ideas and thought about who I want to qualify until the semi actually airs, but I think it'll hold very few surprises regarding who will do well and who will not. The Dark Horse of the semi is ESTONIA, which delivered a very strong jury performance and is able to scrape enough televotes to advance if its audience performance is equal in quality. Other than that though, I think it'll be very predictable.

I honestly think Loreen will win all of this. ESC 2013 will be in a democratic country, yay!
The russian ladies will probably not get a lot of jury votes.
Serbias song is to boring.

I love some of their songs.
Tonight is hard to predict, but I betted a larger sum on Lithuania not making it and smaller sums on Norway not getting to finals and Belarus doing it instead .

We have almost exact opposite taste, lol, exept for Serbia so far. Swedish entry rocks. I like the song more than the performance though...

Georgia's got swag.
Walks in, looks like he's gonna sacrifice someone on stage, then it's like "LOOK AT MY SWAGGER, I'M THE ****ING JOKER" and then "LOOK AT THESE B****ES I'VE GOT!" and then he's like "LOOK I CAN PLAY THE DRUM TOO" and then "PLAYING THE WHITE PIANO OF SWAGGER!".
