alisapa, so it's perfect to give an option to ban orb of inhibity...

artu, maybe it's because other scripts doesn't check if animate dead is banned? where do you find it (in mage guild or in scroll or in magic shrine or elsewhere?). Also are you sure you given proper priority (SU_patch have to be visually higher on mod manager list than any other mod that modifies wogify erm file to work). Please do some tests to make sure that your problem is valid. Also check other banning options which are new (there's tiny chance that I spoied one fragment).

Anyway it seems it need more proper ERA-SU merge-mod than just this, but currently I'm out of motivation to do this.

Salamandre, it really seems that Mithril Smelter conflicts with SU_patch (I observed some problems earlier on custom private versions of SU-based install) probably some variable or function clash.

Question: if I would like to make a mod which replaces all wogify scripts - am I allowed to use scripts which are already in other mods? I probably would prepare bigger mod based on ERA an SU scripts, but I feel it's useless to work on merge fixes on scripts which nobody use (i.e. ones replaced in WoG revised)?. Anyway I won't claim I'm author of what I'm not, but there may be needed some conflict resolve or something so probably I won't be leecher there. Also I plan tiny custom changes not present in SU to happen in my scriptmod. Would it be honest to do and public such a work (it would be derivate work, not simple conversion of existent mods)?

I did not find any shared vars between mithril smelter and castle upgrading.erm. My guess is there is something about macros, but I am not used into them. Mithril smelter is compatible with both wog and wog revised and I won't fix it each time somebody makes a new script. If one wants to use it, the read me tells about compatibility.

majaczek, you are asking things i already gave the answers to. i explained how i tested spell bans in full detail. anyone else is welcome to test them but i dont think i made a mistake.

This is off-topic, but as another dedicated Magic user I feel your pain. The "Hidden Spells" Era mod contains a script which negates the OoI, for certain, "Elder" spells. Of course, just about anything can be done in a custom mod, but getting everyone to agree on the same set of general WoG options can be very difficult.

I don't know, but several people here, including myself, have done exactly that. Personally, I think that as long as you credit the original authors and describe what you did in sufficient detail that it can easily be undone, and don't require any payment or violate any commercial licenses, then you are morally okay by Internet standards. (Just don't expect everyone to agree with your changes.)

That's the joy of the game: randomness. But you can arm against and reduced the bad luck, there are several actions possible. On the other side, sacking proudly everything around with level 40 Crag Hack then meet a simple oriented fire warlock with berserk then fail like a bug, does not disturb you?

Heroes require flexibility and adaptability: if you have an unique pattern of developing your offensive forces, you should be aware it has flaws.

Personally I never felt any urge to ban any artefact, for random maps, that's it. If you get wizard hat, you can choose to not use it, voila.
If AI gets it, be happy, you will have a slightly increased challenge. Even the awesome cloak of undead king is awful used by AI, there is no reason to worry about.

The only pattern where AI could really become annoying is having shackles, red orb and cloak at once. But I never saw such improbable situation.

Does AI use wog combination artifacts like Barbarian Axe? And if two of his heroes have pieces of any combo, does he make trades to complete the set?

Do a test: equip AI with sword of judgment, armor of wonder, helm of enlightenment, sandals of saint, celestial necklace of bliss and lion shield of courage. Let him move around a few turns, then attack him. He did not even bother to combine into angelic alliance. If he does not get already assembled combos, he is unable to combine.

How can I make lvl 8 external dwelling to work normaly ? When I want to recruit a creature I cant and I get this message "Sorry but the god's creature does not want to wait.  If you wish to make a recruitment offer. search for this creature in an more attractive place."

You can buy it in town of that creature (Supreme Archangel - Castle, Diamond Dragon - Rampart, etc.) if you have Upgraded Level 7 dwelling.

Looking for something else I saw that "level 8 dwelling functioning as normal" option was disable and with it activated the level8 external dwelling are working normal. Thanks for the quick reply.

Well I was talking about playing with humans. So my group decide to play XL maps (and thus it's extremely easy to find the orb) and don't want to ban the Orb of Inhibition. And thus everyone tries to go full ATK/DEF and just ignore magic entirely, because even if you don't wear the orb, the opponent will. Yes it's understandable that there is something to counter magic, but when everyone goes the same route and ignore it completely then it's another problem.

There was a thread about "where should WoG go next", but maybe this thread has morphed into that, so unless Bersy complains (in which case I will delete my off-topic posts), I will continue.

It would not be difficult to add a script/WoG-option such that:

a) The OoI would not work against certain Heroes or types of Heroes or Heroes with the Sorcery Skill or Heroes with the Sorcery Specialty or ... (you name it).

b) Or the OoI would not work in the possession of a Hero with low magic ability (Wisdom and/or Elemental Magic skill) against a Hero with higher magic ability (in some sense to be defined).

c) Or the OoI would only ban certain types or levels of spells depending again on the abilities of the combatting Heroes.

d) But the OoI would have its original, total effect in the hands of an AI player.  Or not.

e) And so on.

I will make my standard offer:  if ten (or thereabouts, so far the maximum votes any such specific proposal has ever received is two) people can agree on an exact set of conditions, I will write the script for it.

I may try prepare a script, but does disrobing artifacts work while game battle? I thought of simple script where on certain condition enemy here would have OoI disrobed into backpack (I would probably place it inside battle, but if it won't work I may try rarely used HE trigger or any sensible prebattle trigger).
I would include also disabling lighting necklackle (how it were named) against solmyr (or any chain lighting specialist if modded)
So ideas are: OoI disabled against Sorcery specialist... and more?
I would suggest something (don't kill me) h4-ish - a subclass. mage "subclass" that is expert wisdom and at lest 6 points into some skills from Air magic, Fire magic, Earth Magic, Water Magic, Sorcery, would have the effect of OoI ignored.

I think many of the mods listed in this thread meet that criterion. That is they contain modified creatures and Bersy has included a tool in Era to add the new DEF's of any mod to the Map Editor.  (Unless you mean creature numbers beyond 196. Then you should look  in OxFEA's "Adding New Creatures" thread.  Although I don't recall if they can be used in the Map Editor, but they can be added with ERM.)

I am tempted to direct you to the "ERM Help and Discussion" thread, because I like things in their proper place where others can find them, but I will just say, "yes".  This time. See the "Hidden Spells" mod for an example.

May I ask are there another other version of the New Interface mode (I downloaded from the first page). I go to the thread and see that there are lots of things that are not in the mod that I use .

Also how is possible to have a big screen like this? Or it is also a separate mod?

it's not that hard if the map is rich, you have the resource combo artifact (4 of each every day), and gold multiplies like crazy if you have treasury after a while.
