Do you use wog revised mod? Because the log is about enhanced monsters script. Get wog revised if haven't yet.

Hi, I'm Saruman, modmaker from Russia. I present my mod for Era:
It will be a fundamental change of the atmosphere and style of Heroes. Changing graphics, interesting script and full distance from original Enroth.
Heroes for me is first of all a fairy tale, unsaid exciting legend about the misty mountains and the ivory towers ...
And such a little unsaid and slightly abstract fairy tale and I'll redo for Heroes.
Mechanics will change too but I do not planed revolutionary ideas. The focus is on style change from classical Heroes fantasy to the other not trivial fantasy.

That already we have but "not trimmed" yet:
+ Three reworked cities (Castle, Necropolis, Inferno)
+ Several re-drawed neutrals
+ Triple upgrades
+ Redrawed all war machines except ballista
+ Biographies for the units
+ Added the gods (you need 25 Mithril and enter the city to have patron-god)
+ Some change of units properties
+ Redrawed the dwelling of Crusaders and Paladins (they have replaced angels and archangels) on the world map.

What is planned in the near future:
Reworked Dungeon
Redraw the ballista
New portraits of heroes
New pictures of heroes on the battlefield

Then it is possible to:
Reworked remaining cities
New biographies of heroes and commanders
Redrawed items, spells, artifacts
Small changes like loading screen, new select scenario picture, new music for main menu e.t.c.

It's includes a reworked Castle, some new neutrals, Yona, biographies and the gods

And yes the mod so far only in Russian but in order to play new units it can't hurt)

Thanks, looks neat. What about flying creatures in that castle, I don't see any. How will deal with sieges or battle blockades?

Hmm, good question) Now this is in part offset by the number and special pieces of Yona. I believe that the human castle and must be human, medieval and a bit of a noble. In Heroes 2 as they were without aviation and got along without it.

yet Castle lost every game in H2 because couldn't go past walls/too slow. Worst faction, not good example.

a question of balance. I had the idea to give back a small dragons as in "the Game of Thrones" but I refused it. Possible increased the number of archers and a good protection will be able to help to rectify the situation.

Let the factions weak in siege be. "Human Castle" mod always had no fliers. Just needed to pick hero with ballistics.

PS For myself i made alternative 6th level units in Human Town (arcballista, falconer - from HOL). Falconer destroys walls. So the siege problem no more - it's hard to destroy falconers on first turn.

Just saying, it is the difference between "I want new town" and "I can win a game with a new town", failed transition between new data and valuable data.  I played H2 for years online and castle was a doomed faction. You see, the problem in Heroes 3 battles is that you must have something which can reach the other side and block shooters without having to worry about obstacles. If you can't, you lose. Not to mention that if the other has quick sand, you lose any chance to move freely, only fliers are immune to it.

If you lose more than you win with a town, you choose another town next times.

i can when i switch to windows but if you dont wanna wait, just create a folder name it what you want and then put it in mods folder like this:

modname/data/s/ script file


all you have to do is name the folders like this. you dont have to rename script file.
