Mat shrugged and walked into some of the foliage before sitting down behind a tree a short distance away. So apparently they didn't care so much about being caught... but if they didn't care to play by the rules, then young master Cauthon didn't see why he had to either. Now how to break the game and get them out at the same time?

Rincewind sat down beside him.
"Doesn't look like we scared them. They probably have friends collecting the rest of the treasures while they ensure no one else completes the set. What do we do? There's only one entrance and they got it barricaded and guarded. Unless you want to climb from the other side?"

Mat wasn't really paying attention to Rincewind so he started to give a half-hearted response. Really, it was rather a bother to half to talk, think and try to ignore that constant bloody buzzing all at the same time. Maybe if those blasted dragonflies went away and Rincewind stayed nice and quiet he could figure out a plan. "I wouldn't think that climbing it would be a good idea, they do have a bowman and it is a long climb. Will those stupid insects just shut-" And inspiration struck. "Rince, do you have any food on you?"

Mat looked in the direction of the Flies. "Haha, sarcasm. Great. How fast can you run back to town, buy a bow and a few, rather large, lumps of cheese? We'll need an arrow too, three if at all possible." Mat was smiling now, "Take the heads and my money with you, trade in the heads for gold that that, 'Magic guild,' get the supplies and run back here as fast as you can. I'll make sure our friends here aren't bluffing and don't run off on us... we don't want them to miss out on their new pets, now do we?"

A Two Rivers longbow in particular, "And I use the word 'Pets' lightly, really they will be those dragon flies and I don't think that our tower friends will particularly like receiving them." Mat tossed the heads to Rincewind. "I'm certain a spry young man such as yourself can figure out both why we need the cheese and run faster than a man with only one eye. Am I wrong?"

Rincewind turned the heads in his hands.
"Yes. You're wrong. We don't need cheese. We need these." Rincewind took a coin out of his purse and flashes it to Mat, "I found a couple inside the creature I killed. I think they're like the local version of ravens and come after shiny objects. If we had something bigger maybe we might be able to just throw it in."

Mat rubbed his chin as he suddenly felt the weight of his amulet. "You know... I might just have what we are looking for..." He told his not-so-brave and relatively lazy companion. It should be alright to take off the Wolf-Head medallion here, no bloody channelers were in sight. And if it got them into that tower...
Mat pulled out his medallion and let it gleam and dangle. "How's your throwing arm?"

Mat took out one of his seven coins and flicked it into the air. "You know how you can lead ravens with a trail of bread crumbs?" He asked, catching the coin. He tossed his medallion to Rincewind. "Make sure you don't loose that." He poured all seven of his coins into his hand, "How many do you have?"

Rincewind caught the medallion with one hand and took out a handful of coins out of his pocket with the other. ((Let's say 11 coins))
"This should be enough." He said as he handed the coins to Mat, "I want back whatever you don't need. Anyway, I'll go get their attention. When the buzzing is close enough I'll through the medallion. Deal?"

At the sound of "ambush" and "weapons" Koto's body did something without Koto thinking. With a swift motion of both hands he suddenly held two rather large daggers in his hands. "Heh, new muscle memories." Koto chuckled a little in surprise "Can't be much different than the Taynikma's shadow blade, so I should be fine." he thought as he started moving further into the room.
"I don't like the thought of someone waiting in an ambush, but I think that advantage will be evened out by our superior vision in darkness." Koto whispered "Unless they have torches, in which case they could blind us quicker than you can say "Lumi-Taro"!" Koto smile vanished as his thoughts went back to Tayklania, Sarina and the Sun Clan." shaking his head, Koto refocused his mind on the task at hand, and on the decision he and Broïndur would have to make. "Left or Right?"

Broïndur gestured Koto to be quiet. He listened, snuffled and looked intensely. But what ever sign Broïndur was hoping for, it would not come. Either there was nothing, or Broïndur's Orc senses were not keen enough to pick up what he had hoped for.
He glanced both sides again.
"My gut's saying right. But stay on yer toes." He whispered as he started moving to the right.

Koto and Broïndur:
You head to the right, into increasing darkness. The stairs wrap around as you go, ending in a smaller room that is in all likelihood right below where you were before.
Careful examination of the area reveals a staircase opposite the one you just came down, and a door in the left-hand wall that opens into a narrow hallway—from this comes faint torchlight and voices. A closer look at the hall shows you four doors, one of which is open ((near and on the left; there are two doors to each side)) and the source of the speech. The end of the hall is in shadow your eyes cannot penetrate, owing to the light. The smell of bats and other small creatures is noticeably present down here.

Mat started walking off towards the Dragonflies. "You stand in the light and make sure the medallion sparkles all nicely." He dropped a coin in a patch of sunlight, "I'll get the bloody animals and see what we'll have to deal with after our 'Friends' are cleared out."

Mat makes his way into the swamp, heading towards the loudest area of buzzing. It isn't long before he runs into a group of them: six, all told, and four of them are fire-breathers. Worryingly—or perhaps not, given his goal—the buzzing here is louder than could be accounted for by the half-dozen before him. There must be a great many of the creatures somewhere nearby.

Tristan thought of deflecting the man's arm with his weapon, but he was unsure how effective that would be, given the style of weapon it was. The resulting choke was none too pleasant, nor the exit of the building. He looked back upon the man, taking a deep breath and releasing it.
"Oh, I was not saying you needed anyone to be on your side of the fight to find a fight. I was saying there was no one that wanted to fight you left around. Though, if you want to fight someone, I am sure we could CALL THE GUARD! They may be willing to assist you."

There's a little milling around in the nearby villagers, and after the man takes another swing at you you're sure you see someone dashing away, presumably to find someone in uniform. But for the moment, it seems you're on your own as none of the townsfolk seem interested in getting involved in the fight.
((Fight is a 3 BTW.))
