"Ah that, my 'friend' can be a little deluded at times, he's just like that, I will not ask anyone to follow me into grave danger, and I wouldn't expect a woman to understand the concept of glory and honour, but I have to slay this creature, everything depends on it.
I'd prefer not to die in such a place, not even a decent Tavern, and the brawlers are sloppy at best, so if you will not help me, at least lend me one of these"

Fandral crosses his arms with a frown.
"Well, this is clearly a dead-end, she's tighter than a virgin's blouse." Said Fandral abruptly loud.
Fandral then strolled a short distance from the two of them, and kept a keen eye on the shore, hoping to spot some fisherman. (to get some information, and with some luck, cheap assistance/labour)

You spot an old man on the shore after a short search. He appears to be having some trouble with his nets, as he's peering at them very closely.

Fandral's heart fills with hope, yet he intended to be modest in his approach.
"Good day. My, what a damn fine day to fish" Fandral claimed while holding his sides and standing tall, he then took a deep breath of sea-air.
"Wouldn't you agree?"
(I'll post these once I have the necessary count, I've deleted too many posts already)
Fandral:
"Ay, 'tis that," the old man agrees, peering very closely at a large rent in his net. You realize he's very near-sighted.
"What on earth are you hoping to catch with that thing?" Says Fandral, in a somewhat mocking tone.
"You do know, I'm a sailor of sorts, though I'm no fisherman, but my hands are quick and precise. With your permission I'd like to take a look at yer net, in exchange for some little information"

"Well, this is a trap if I ever saw one." Koto thought, looking at the raised platform "And if it is not, then those brutes would've already looted everything on that is on that platform." Even so, Koto knew that making asumptions was the mother of all screw-ups. His biggest chance at the moment for finding a moon cult item would be that altar, so he would need to find a way to it.
((Is the raised platform out of reach? I.e. Say I cross the water safely, could I climb up to it?))
((If the platform is within reach))
Koto carefully and slowely waded into the water. He crouched down, putting his hands into the water to touch the bottom, feeling himself to safe ground. He would not risk setting down his foot and find a nail, or other sharp objects there.
((Also, he looks for traps))

Fandral takes the net and snags a coil of rope that was lying on a barrel (he wet onto sit on said barrel). As he then began to tie the knots.
"I'm looking for 'sharks', where to hunt them, and the best techniques to take one down". Answered Fandral rather bluntly.

At first Rincewind thought they missed the meeting and everyone abandoned them. They decided to stay a little bit anyway, just because they had nothing better to do. Just when Rincewind thought they should call it a night and look for that inn he saw in the morning, the hulking silhouette of their green companion appeared out of the shadows.
"Over here!" Rincewind waved at him, "Finally someone came."

"Hrrmm, we've found a place te get a moon-cult item. But it's being held by a bunch thugs, too many an' well-equiped fer me 'n the gnome te take 'em down. Koto is still there, keepin' himself hidden no doubt. We'll have te go there sooner or later to get him out again. As for bows, seen a few elves, none of them are carryin' any bows, so no leads there. I saw Tristan at the alchemists, he should be here soon enough. Wha'about Grog an' what's-his-face?"

Go back for Koto? Rincewind didn't the easy route just to follow the had one as well. But he wasn't even surprised anymore. That was just Fate playing his usual tricks with his life.

Fandral:
The old man talks your ear off for several hours, but by the time he finishes you know a great deal about the local variant of shark. He tells you they're unusually shy around Emerald Island, preferring to hide in the reefs. Apparently the locals do fish for them, but usually via spear rather than net as the nets tend to get caught on the reefs.
((Anything in particular you want to know? Regardless, it's about time for the party meet-up by the time you're done talking to the old man.))

Koto:
((Yes, you can climb up on the platform--it's about knee-height on a human, and there are steps leading up on either side of the alter.))
You make your way carefully across the room. Most of the room seems to be clear of suspicious holes, buttons and levers, but from where you stand you can see a strange pipe in the ceiling over the alter itself.
You are most of the way across the room when you hear the last of the rats scurry away from the fight, and the soggy footsteps of the adventurers returning from the hallway.
