As far as I am concerned you do. Unless you work for Ubisoft and can update the main game website with this news? Ubi_Irina is that you?

Isn't that the Beholder, and only when it looks too much like an orb with several eyestalks?
I thought Evil Eye referred to this concept.

Which ever one is copyrighted doesn't matter. As we know from the Compendium that the creature is a Shadow Lurker. Which is by the way the same scource from which we know that the Shadow Sorcerer is a Hero.

This brings up a good question in my mind..
How will the Heroes of the dungeon faction look like?
Will they be generic humanoids with horses as it was with every faction in the original game..
or will they have a more unique image and/or stead...

In case you haven't noticed, Dave, Elves, of whichever denomination, are already generically humanoid.

I think you didn't understud me correctly War:-)
for example, Orcs are humanoids aswell, but they have there own perks.
But in heroes VI we have this a generiic humanoid, with almost no orc perks, looking more like a human then an orc, whos affinty to his faction is only visible on the style of his clothes. And he rides a horse,in a faction where people ride everything from giant cats and oxes to wyverns. (And I'm not talking about the masks and helms)
In Heroes V each hero class looked different (I know each facction had only one model), but now they look a bit to similar for my taste.
My question was, if the dungeon heroes will be diferent or just another variaty of the same model, with faction style of clothes and coloring.
@ Elvin: Thank you for the hint. So atleast something will be new (I hope it will be their animal of choice)

Quote: Very interestinq Q&A..
As I understand, the Dungeon lineup is something like this:
Core: Stalker, Minotaur, Evil Eye(as seen in compendium art)
Elite: Faceless, Shadow Sorceress(as seen in art on the portal, second elf creature), Manticore(?)
Champion: Black Dragon
No hydras?
Core: Stalker, beholder,
Elite: Hydra, sorceress, minotaur
Champion: dragon or faceless
Manticores could be in, but didn't they all die and became lamassus?
Perhaps there will be a "shadow", i.e. dark elemental clone. It could be core (just a shadow of the elemental), or elite if sorceress is the hero and there are 2 core elves (which ones?).
However, the glories and spring spirits were like cheating in design.
Black dragons could be champions if the colorful one on the utopia is neutral.
Then the utopia could use red/shadow + black + neutral dragon to create variation.

Not all manticotras were used for the lamasu experiment ;-) so there are still more then a few of them around.
Ass for the Darkness elemental clone. I think Ubi learnedd its leson, and will not repeat this same mistake again.
I hope this for their own good.

No, Dave, I understood you allright. What I was referring to is that Elves and Humans aren't that different to begin with. So any thin humanoid could easily pass for an Elf.
@ Locksley:
As I said a few pages/posts back. The Sorcerers are Heroes. That art that is referred to, is present in the Ashan Compendium and there it is on the page dedicated to the Shadow Sorcerer Hero.
As for Manticores, they are most likely an Elite tier. They are present in the Compendium as well and are referred to as Dungeon Creatures.
Manticore =/= Lamasu. Lamasu are the Beastmen version of Manticores, just as Minotaurs are the Beastmen version of bulls. However Lamasu-blood is pestilent and kills the host and anything it comes into contact with. Which is why they are only viable as undead.

Thanks for the info, everyone.
So the biology of Ashan is more complicated than expected.
It's disappointing that there are no hydras but the inclusion of dragons is sweet. I may be wrong but I think I read a hint in a similar Q&A a long time ago that some factions couldn't be without dragons.
But why are the faceless only elite? Doesn't make much sense: they were almost extinct after fighting the angels, the angels are also very few but some of them become champions, and... faceless (elite) should have higher growth than angels (champions)!
Perhaps they will be a semichampion, an extra strong and extra few elite corps. The same number of dragons being champions is then logical if they are Malassa's daughters.

I liked the Facehugger things from Dark Messiah better than these. They look like they belong to a Pixar movie.

Well, since in the end the angels won and were still in good enough shape to be units in HV, you could say that the angels are stronger.

Well to be exact, nobady ever sayed the Faceless were as strong as the angels, only that they could be seen as there counterpart and that the angels hated them. It would even make sence, since shadows do not give such a strong value on physical power.
The Faceless were so strong thanks to their abilities and knowladge.
And also the Angels never actually won. The war ended in a pact, which atleast the angels broke once. Each side then tried to fill the gaps in the lines of the belivers in their god, by finding new worshipers.
The Angels converted the Humans.
The Faceless converted the elves.
(not all ofcorse)
Even if you look on the Faceless artworks. They are almost never showen with a weapon or shield. While the angels are armed almost all the time.
But I could be wrong. Hope to cach up on the compendium soon.
