If this is true, then it's sad news, they've been part of heroes music for a long time.....
Well, I am sure there are many other great music composers suited for the game, and they should keep to the same style....

Well Stronghold and Sanctuary themes where great imo. Definitely memorable and worthy of the franchise...
It's a shame I guess.

I don't think they'll relay on that for music...but most probably on cheaper artist.
Wish someone'd release some official statement

Still holding out hope it's just SoD.2 and not a possible H7, there's just enough ambiguity in his phrasing...

Seconded.
Thought Paul has yet to respond himself. But I can tell that much of what Rob said is true. There were some original versions of the Sanctuary and Necropolis town music up on youtube for a while. They were much more ornate to say the least. But they've been taken down as far as I know, so I cannot point them to you anymore.

For all I know, it seems to be a misunderstanding.
I've been given to understand, inofficially, that Ubi thought they were quite busy with other projects, so they didn't bother them for SoD. That, however, has nothing whatsoever to do with H 7, should there ever be one.
Elvin can confirm that - and will, probably.

It's like they were slowly weening Paul/Rob's music out in Heroes VI, by just using some remixes. So lame, man. I'm actually convinced now that Ubisoft is intentionally alienating the longtime fans. It seemed that way to me before, but I didn't believe it, but every step has been in that direction. Every. Damn. Time.
I think they've gotten arrogant. They brought in the existing fan-base dangling carrots to lure us in, but now they seem to think that they don't need us anymore... so they're going out of their way to show us that they have no interest in fan service unless it's about Heroes V. "Oh, Raelag is back!" Yeah, no one gives a rat's ass. Now that they've dropped hardcore fans, all that's left is some of the people who still enjoy it despite its flaws, newer fans and some stragglers, which I can't imagine add up to a whole lot. They're just going to dig themselves into the same hole that 3DO did. Let it die.
